Trident Sprinkler test
Просмотров 5847 лет назад
We set this test up to demonstrate how The Trident performs at height and elevation while supplying multiple sprinklers. On flat ground, one pump should supply up to 20 sprinklers at 1 mile. Note* These are NOT a typical sprinkler. They are 1-1/4" body rainbirds with an 11/16" orifice!
The Trident Hill push -02
Просмотров 5057 лет назад
This hill in Athabasca is 340' tall. We are pumping from the River and shooting water 150 higher at the top, through 800' of 4" layflat. that is a total head of 490' with a 500 lb pump... We are using an Akron monitor with a Mercury nozzle and stacking tips as well. We were flowing 500 gpm with the Mercury and 350 gpm with the stacking tip. We were asked not to exceed 100 psi at the top. There ...
The Trident Test-01
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.7 лет назад
Thanks to our patented design, we are able to swap out impellers in 20 minutes. In this video, we are demonstrating our 1,500 gpm impeller. The pumps motor is set at 475 hp but in this test we are only utilizing 150 hp, so on our next test, we will be trying out the 3,000 gpm impeller. At one point, we shut the pump off with the line loaded and do a restart to show how the pumps motor doesn't g...
Fort McMurray fire YWL job-01

My apologies, this was shot with my workers Iphones and not good quality, but it gives you an Idea of how handy the pumps are! After being stationed in LLB for the first 3 weeks in May, Forestry deployed us up to Ft. Mac to assist with underground hot spots. Using our patented new water pump, we are able to deploy in 20 minutes, compared to the conventional bulky pumps, which take a full day. F...
Post pounder

My Daughter wants a horse, being as our ground is hard packed sandy clay, normal hammer style pounders won't work. I had to fab up a heavy duty tamper style pounder to get the job done.
How to build a greenhouse
Просмотров 38310 лет назад
My wife and I enjoy gardening, but don't enjoy the Deer and Moose chasing us out of the garden, or Grasshoppers and other pests destroying the leaves, so we decided to throw up a greenhouse over the entire plot. The structure is 50' x 80'
Homemade Hydraulic press brake
Просмотров 82 тыс.11 лет назад
This press is my own interpretation of what a home shop press should look like. I designed it to be used as a press or metal brake. It is 50" wide, so it can handle a full width sheet of steel. I will build dies for bending pipe, tubing and angle iron as well.
Great Job To all involved , especially Triden Pumps for their great work
Wow!! That's pretty remarkable!!!! So proud of you big brother!!! Your pumps are saving people, places and time❤❤ love ya xo
Just watched this with Dad an Dale!!! Pretty impressive Big Bro❤
Excellent tool!.. I use my compact tractor bucket to push T posts in but there is no way it has enough hydraulic pump to drive this implement.. Guess thats why post hole augers were invented..:)
do u have a drawing
Hahaha! Putting the level on the pole when it's already driven a yard into the ground, priceless.
What did you cut the post with to make a sharp point on them?
The posts were purchased that way. They are 9' long, 6" diameter treated wood with sharpened end.
Damn dude you need to patent that! That is way better than the other post drivers on the market.
Amazing job man! What's the thickest metal it will bend?
Thanks Blade. The thickest piece I have bent, is a 2' length of 3/4" steel plate. It didn't even struggle.
@@BentRZR Wow what's it cost to build?
@@RC-Heli835 I never kept track of the cost of materials, but the 2 cylinders needed to be precision bored by my buddy, who is a hydraulics specialist, he also machined the 3" thick base and head for the cylinders. I would say the overall cost without labor would be under 10 grand.
@@BentRZR Woohoo! I figured it was pricey!😁😃
@@BentRZR I am curious about the 3 pin system for the lower dies. My 1st thought is that almost all of the metal is gone in 4 panels of steel on each side. I was just curious if that is tested and proven to be the strongest design for the application? When you think of it holding 880,000 lbs it makes me wonder but I see that you have inserted and welded collars inside each hole which would make it many time harder to rip out.
VERY HUMBLE 👍💪
She meant a "Rocking Horse"
A fella could get a lot of work done with a machine like that.
Awesome video <3 Josh is so little and so cute! Rock on!!!!
Bada bing Bada boom !
Awesome job. I would love to see plans. I need one of these and cannot afford a used ebay version. I also need a plate roller, for rolling vacuum cylinders and need large diameter. You give me hope that I am not on mission impossible. I just have to keep building and bootstrapping. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thanks Kimberly! We just wing it when building, so there's not much for plans. If you're stuck on any of the design aspects, feel free to reach out.
I own a stainless steel business that I built from nothing. Trust me, if you're motivated and making progressively larger steps as you go you can build a successful shop in 5 years. The secret is to get jobs. You bid the price of the tools you need into the job. Get 50% down and never look back.
Nice video where can I buy that post driver attachment thank you
Badass plate roller. Thanks for sharing build details as well! I like that scrap piece to get the ends rolled and help all the lettering cutout stuff sit flat.
You're NOT through , YET! YOU need to install atleast (2) HOT wires along the entire fence run , otherwise your ponies will scratch their BIG asses on your shinny new fence and push IT OVER , over time ! BUT , you already knew this , RIGHT ?
Lol! Yup, I learned that lesson. I did install a single wire around the top and hooked up a solar powered electric fence. That stopped them from eating the top boards! Good observation 👍
Very nice build. The rollers. are they home built? Details please.
Thanks Rocky. Yes, I used sch 40 4" A106 pipe. I then used 2" Cold roll steel shaft as the axle. the ID of the pipe is 4", the OD of the shaft is 2", which leaves us with a 2" gap. So I cut 1" wide strips of 1/4" plate steel the length of the 4" pipe and welded 4 of them to the 2" shaft, along the length at 90 deg intervals, then inserted the shaft into the pipe and welded it from both ends. This stiffened the rollers up enough for me to actually fold 1/2" plate steel in this little roller.
@@BentRZR Thanks for the info. I will do the same. If you was going to build it again, would you change anything?
@@rockyblankenship1166 I would make the top roller a 6" and leave everything else as is. The bottom driven rollers have bearings, but I used a brass bushing for the top roller, because they can withstand far more force than off the shelf bearings. These brass bushings have never let me down! So use them as well!
@@BentRZR Noted Brother, Thanks again.
That is awesome. Is that a plate compactor for an excavator that you started with?
Yup!
Nice work. Good quality machine.
Good Morning Trident Pumps, Do you recall what hydraulic motor was used? This is a great build!
Looks like fun😊😊
That is a beautiful fence. Love the one person pass through. Great idea
Wow!!! Just wow!!
Your spotter was awesome. Stood the post at the right distance & guide you as you were driving the post.
I want one of those. Maybe me and my powerarc can make a slightly smaller version.
And I sometimes feel overwhelmed by my dad duties. Yours, "Dad, I want a horse" buying horse is the easy part. Then mile of installed fence posts, cross members, AND painting. Now we need a barn. Sure kid, anything else, lol.
Baby gets what baby wants
Wow. This is by far the best way to install fence posts. Why people go with messy augers when you can do it this way? And, you are a good dad.
Hell of a dad.... Looking for a son
I read all the comments and replies and could not find an answer to this question. On your skidsteer mounting plate above the frame of the HoPac there seems to be a steel rib welded to the mounting plate going around the frame of the HoPac ???? Is this correct? Believing that it must be to distribute the vibrations of the HoPac more evenly on the plate frame ?? Also wondering it the HoPac is welded or bolted to the plate frame? I am thinking welded. What are the dimensions of the steel used for the "rib" surrounding the HoPac frame ??? I've been viewing this video for a couple years now and finally have everything to put one of these drivers together ! Just want to make sure I include all the features that yours has since yours seems so well thought out !!! Great tool ! Great video !!! Thanks !!! :-)
Hi John, The mounting plate was pre fitted to the Skid steer system to ensure it would fit prior to welding it to the hoe pac frame. There is a stiffener welded to the mounting bracket to keep it from flexing.
Whats the reason a Shaver couldn't pound them posts? I have pounded plastic Forever posts in gravel driveways....not the fastest but wasn't too bad.
Hugh, Although I never observed this, my neighbor said he rented a heartland post pounder to build his fence. Using the same size posts, he said it was taking up to 45 minutes to do each post. The hard packed clay/sand in this area is ridiculous ! Never heard of Shaver pounders but as with anything, it depends on weight! I chose my method because of previous experience with tampers and oilfield pile driving...
@@BentRZR I had a Shaver 10 mounted on a Ditch Witch and pounded average 1/4 mile fences in a couple hours....that's 4" flat posts in Iowa. I fenced for 13 years and loved it for the most part doing quarter mile five strand barb in 7 hours and woven in about 8 1/2 hours. A pounder is the only way to go in my opinion. I did all my fence by myself. Im in NC now and did one fence here ...never again...whole state is rock...lol. Your set up might work better here than my pounder.
we crushed the pillars with a JCB telescopic loader jib with its weight
Nothing compares to a vector post driver
Very impressive. What's the flow rate required for the tamp? Did you try driving flat bottom posts too?
The tamper I used doesn't require the hi-flow option, I think it's min is 14 gpm. I drove dozens of 4" flat bottom posts with it with no issues.
What brand was the tamper you used?
Wow.
Would an allied 1000 for a backhoe work the same way if fabed up?
As long as you use a large model skidsteer, you should be ok. Go back through the entire conversation, there is a complete description of how and why I built it the way it is. Good luck!
@@BentRZR i have a kubota 95 track loader with high flow. I was thinking of using a blank skid steer plate and welding the ho pac to it? Would that work? It's a hopac 1000?
did you have to set the hydraulic flow to the ho pac?
@@Cartwrightoutdoors I checked the max flow of the hoepac and compared it to the skidsteers output and pressure. Ensure you have the hoepac mounted properly! I mounted mine sideways, so the vibration didn't transfer directly to the frame. When you hook the lines up, make sure you know which way the hoepac spins and only flow that way. If you spin them in reverse, the locking bolt inside the motor will back off and you will loose all function. The rotation should be marked on the unit.
@@BentRZR I finally got mine fabed up.. can you explain what you mean by "make sure its turning the correct way"..
How did you paint it, a spray gun?
Yes, an airless 110 V gun, it took 15- 5 gallon buckets of 10 year UFA white barn paint. It took about 12 hours.
Brilliant!
I don’t understand haters in the comment section, if u didn’t like the vid move. If u think u can do better make a vid proving it or stfu.
Awesome! Can you tell me the make and model of that plate compactor? I need this in my life...
your a good dad
try wheathartb post ponders
all that for a horse it get lost in there
Did you say you put a depth gauge on it? Ifso where abouts. Awesome set up man
Thanks Grant! We put a paint mark at 4'. The posts are 8'
Best performing post pounder anywhere. And there's a lot on the market nowadays. How did you sharpen the bottoms and chamfer the tops of the posts?
Thanks! The posts were purchased from ufa as is.
Wait if she asked for a horse and you built her a fence..... What happens if she asks for a fence ? Do you build a horse?
Wait, this is where kids get the idea that they'd get a pony if they ask for Christmas from?!?! (jk that's pretty awesome, including showing us how it works, ya'll are some generous parents)
