We havent seen a good looking pokemon game since gen 5. Gen 6 and 7 look okay for being 3d games on a handheld, but they wouldve looked so much better as 2d games.

Arin and Dan should have animated avatars at this point. Arin can draw them and the tech magicians can rig it.

It's crazy how the best looking Pokemon Switch game is the first one they released, besides the spin offs, cause Mystery Dungeon & Snap definitely look way better than Let's Go.

I understand that looks are very important for a game, I'm very picky when it comes to asthetic and animation and style too. But they aren't everything, because Pokemon arceus was peak and pokemon scarlet was a fun time

The thing people need to realize about Pokemon, Nintendo doesn't make them, at all, it's GameFreak which is literally staffed like a 3rd party Indie studio, Nintendo just has an exclusivity contract because they helped found The Pokemon Company. GF literally has close to the same total staff as just the team at Nintendo who makes the Mario games. It really sucks that The Pokemon Company doesn't treat them better and hire a ton of new staff to make Pokemon games better. Lord knows they can easily afford it.

The reason why Pokemon """can't""" do it is because they have a very strict deadline for every new game since they make fuckloads of money with merchandise, which hurts the quality of their games tremendously, except when they have to do live service, mobile game stuff like Pokemon Unite I guess

It's mostly Arin's delivery that makes it so funny. It's intended to be a funny line, but if you read it in the way Wendee Lee usually delivers her lines as Akane, then it's not quite as funny as the stream of consciousness way Arin read it. lol

I don’t disagree with his points, but it kinda bugs me that he doesn’t understand that it’s the Pokémon Company forcing Game Freak to hustle and churn out new games without polish, not Nintendo. All cuz the sooner they release games, the sooner they can sell new cards, plushes, anime, movies, manga, etc.

It really feels like they're not allowing Pokémon games to become fully developed, they've been making progressively bigger games, and not allowing more time in development for the bigger projects. there was strong evidence they only rebuilt the graphics system for BDSP, as glitches from DP were in the code for BDSP. I really have a feeling they decided the games are a secondary primary objective, and merch is a primary objective, the games create characters to sell merch of, and they want 2-3 years of competitive use out of a generation.

The answer is extremely simple. "Because everyone will buy them anyways, and they know that."

This video really puts into perspective when Arin can be really entertaining. I personally haven't been a fan of 'modern day Grumps Arin' for years. But this clip really does show that Arin (or rather, Egoraptor) still has that Sequelitis moxie in him. The Arin that I personally enjoy, with his over the top rant humor. Even if you disagree with some points he makes, it's still funny to watch.

Pokémon has become over saturated with games. It's like FIFA, nothing much changes with each game. Palworld is much better. Shame that Nintendo is suing them for patent infringement or something.

One thing I didn't like about the video was the fact you neglected to mention that Terra was not the instigator of the fight with Eraqus. Eraqus was going to murder Ventus and even told Terra he was going to kill him too if he got in his way. Eraqus forced Terra's hand and Terra 100% did not mean to kill Eraqus while fighting for his life and Eraqus tells Terra he was right to protect Ventus and he was the one who was wrong. Throughout Terra's struggle, we see a very kind person being manipulated and taken advantage of left and right while trying to protect people. Terra was constantly going out and trying to protect people and managed to do good despite the darkness in his heart. Maleficent even says his heart was too pure to extract Aurora's heart and she tricked him into thinking he had done it. Terra had been effectively gaslit into thinking he was tainted and unworthy to stand beside his friends let alone be a Keyblade master from events largely outside his control. Terra's self loathing and feelings of inadequacy lead him to seek Xehanort's validation as the one perceived person who truly was their for him. Which was compounded by Aqua working as Eraqus' spy and monitoring his every move. Terra then takes all this self hatred, doubt, and pain that he had been directing inward and unleashes it outward first onto Braig who was threatening his friends and then Xehanort who had caused everything. Terra feels like such a real character and it astounds me that there are people that don't like him. Terra's fall to darkness feels much more organic and justified than Riku's imo. Terra never wanted the darkness and Riku did.

Is Xehanort maybe a future version of Riku? I've loved Kingdom hearts since the first game released when I was like maybe 8-9, but I only played 1, 2, and 3 a lot, so some parts of the story just confuse me
