That’s a pretty cool rack Gilly. I like how it’s straight up. Good for smaller spaces. Looks like it’ll be handy
thanks for watching bud
@@modeltankguy absolutely. My pleasure.
thanks for the subscription sir. hope life's good up there
I like honest reviews 👍My usage would be painting small details in cockpits (red, yellow, white, metalic) and the rubber of tires. Do you have a link to the alternative acrylic markers that you use ?

Well I can say I see a use case for them but not at that price. I can get by with the cheaper option. I don't use markers that much right now. Rex made them sound like there the next best thing... Lol Like all thing there is a place... 😁 Awesome video! LLAP 🖖

nice review mate
@@blairmarriott965 thanks for watching mate 👍
As I understand it, some of the colours don't match (i.e. the "Brown" pen doesn't match the Brown "bulk" paint in a jar, even though the numbers match).

@@modeltankguy You're welcome
@model tank guy: Sorry for the off topic question. I found out about you via OZ Scale Modelling.. If you are up for it I'm trying to navigate the minefield of 1:16 Radio Controlled tanks. My impressions to date are: There's a bunch of "entry level" options Heng Long, Tigen, etc. ("cheap" but crap [in my view]). Then you jump to say Agora. Dearer, but still not very accurate / "good" [in my view] Then say Tamiya. Good [in my view] Then say sonderfahrzeug-modellbau kits. Look great on the web site, but he wont answer questions before you spend the $. and finally the peak is 1/6 ArmorTek. Fantastic! - but at over AUD$10,000 (pre shipping it) would want to be.
@@whya2ndaccount great question 🤔 whats your budget??? And what you like to have ??? For realistic and want the metal tanks go for it!! If you just want to play around get hang or Agora but if you want quality go with tamiya full options expensive but great for long term just needs some upgrades n good to go I hope this helped if not go check my old buddy pitstain hobbies he did a run dnw on all tamiya n hang long r/c kits 😉 plz feel free to te him i sent you over n enjoy your hobby in which wah you go thanks for stopping by
@@modeltankguy I think the "least worst" option is the Tamiya with a bunch of after market metal gear. I've spent 30+ years on real vehicles so the "not quite right" factor of the cheaper kits p*sses me off. However the "cost of a new car" proper metal ones, say Armortek is beyond my budget (al least my wife would kill me). Once I get the Tamiya though there is still the challenge of painting as I don't want to ruin a AUD$3,000+ investment (kit + after market + shipping) with a crap paint job.
@@whya2ndaccount correct that paint job after all the work will be a kill joy 😂 but you can buy masking for a paint job or get some made for by someone again thanks for the subscribe n thanks for stopping by
If you are ever in Chicago the U-505 is at the Museum of Science and Industry. It’s the only IXc sub that is intact. It doesn’t have the indentation on the bow like this model.
@@fw1421 kool thanks for the info 😀
@@modeltankguy You should look up the U-505 on Google. The whole story is there. It was captured off the coast of Africa after being depth charged. The crew was captured while it was been scuttled and the boarding crew went on board and put the caps on the scuttle ports and stopped it sinking. After the war ended it was donated to the Museum of Science and Industry where it was on display behind the Museum for decades. After being out in the elements for so long it was in pretty bad shape so the Museum built a big underground enclosure for it and they moved it to its new home and restored it. The story and video of the move are amazing. Look it up. I made a pilgrimage from Fort Worth just to see it. Well worth the time and effort. A real piece of history.
I had a Australian dingo but he was a lot of work because I had to run him for forty miles a week so he didn't run off for three weeks.
