what settings are you using?
Do have issues with crease marks on structured hats?
How do I avoid lines when I use the "frame" feature?
I don't have the camera.
Do you mean when you frame you get a slight outline from the laser? If so there is an option to turn down the power of the laser when you frame

Thanks for watching. Yes these was just test prints to show the difference between laminated and not laminated. So the pic of my son I removed the date on one of the pics and not the other by mistake. It was for demonstration purposes so i didnt really want to print it out again.

By now you might have had some time messing with the press can we get an update around some of the pros and cons that you have noticed that would be highly appreciated also are you making patches in bulk I’m thinking of starting a hat line and this is what I have in mind just a different design but with patches of course great job on the caps and I personally would like to see more hats pressed up

Hi, just saw this. Is this white board from a Lowe's or Home Depot? Or sublimation board? I have an xtool 40w that can cut 3mm. Do I need a 90W to cut white board? I want to start cutting my own sub blanks. Thank you for your help.
Yes this is White board from Lowes I believe. I was not able to cut it no matter how many passes on my XTool 10w, Cant speak to the 40w. But it cuts like butter on the 90w CO2. With that being said.... the only problem for me with the white board is that unless I laminate it, the colors from sublimation do not pop! I also cut my own sub blanks but I use other products now.

Yes I have. Its cuts great. I use it for sublimation blanks.
Is it possible to laminate the whiteboard before lasering so you can save all that time trimming?
Sure you can. The only limitation would be the size of your heatpress. My biggest heat press is 16x20 so I could have cut a piece to 16x20 and add the lamination sheet, I have rolls of lamination sheets also, and press it then to adhere it. Good suggestion!

What laser are you running and what are the settings?
I just bought the same hat press; you can preheat the hat by putting it in the machine with Teflon and without the patch.

Did u use sublimation ink or could u also use the regular inkjet from a standard printer?
I use sublimation for this over laminate sheet. I have not or dont think I would try with pigment Ink

I use Cosmos Inks. They are local to me here in GA. But also available online. They also have a great FB Group for helpful hints about Sublimation and its beginner friendly.

These were pressed a week before 4/20/23. I havent heard from the buyer that there was a problem. But I will say for the sake of my personal sanity and OCD in my work I have now moved on the using an aftermarket adhesive for my newer patches. Mostly because we do more embroidery patches now than leather and what we are using now is supposedly a much stronger bond. I havent done enough testing with it to mention at the moment so look out for a video on it if it is successful.

How thick of metal will it cut? Like mild steel
Not cutting metal with this laser. You can etch on aluminum especially if it's coated with some kind of paint. If you want to cut metal may be better to look into a desktop CNC machine with a good spindle

I have picked up (2nd hand) this exact same machine, without a manual...I have downloaded Lightburn to utilize. Question....Does using Lightburn completely bypass the front machine controller? Any advise would be GREATLY appreciated.....I am starting from scratch and certainly don't have a background in electronics. Machine is hooked up and ready to go (with Invertor and exhaust fan)....Can't wait to use it! Thanks! I have enjoyed your videos!
Yes, Using Lightburn you dont need to control the machine from the control pad. I only use the control pad to move the lasaer head when I need to adjust the bed to the material im cutting.
Now that's how you make a RUclips Video minus the fact you didn't have a prop to hold your phone. Excellent, swift and direct to the point directions on how to make and use the products.
OK! Thank You. I move around too much for a phone stand. If I was just talking and looking into the camera it could work but this is a working shop in a full house basement and 3 of the 4 rooms are devoted to my business. You should drain the water from the compressor daily. Water sitting in the tank will rust the tank out.
Oh Absolutely! I dont know if it was said but I installed a drain extension valve that I drain everyday. I think I mentioned it cause I removed it from my other compressor. Good point though!

What is the temperature for lamination
Press for 380^ for 5sec to tack the lamination paper, Do this for both sides. Then 380^ for 55 sec for the sublimation

I haven't had any customers say that so far. This is my second yr offering these as fans and the few that I have kept as messups are still the same as when I pressed them but they get no use. Just sit as examples. Thanks for watching!

It's full sheets of Leatherette from JDS Industries.
