There's no official end, but the levels repeat themselves at 999. At the end of this video, I replayed mission 999 three times.

It's a custom moveset. The move itself ONLY appears when you use the shinobi style Toho Swordfighting while equipping the sword Morning Moon (dropped by Orochi, the Thief Samurai Lord at the end of Amihama 8 Mission) (check this video for more details: ruclips.net/video/32plLpjpeBE/видео.htmlsi=H9sTn0Dq9Sk1UjVL) Check EVERYTHING69's guide for a step-by-step guide on how to make your sword unbreakable: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/611500-way-of-the-samurai-4/faqs/64880?page=4#section713. A great alternative to this move is the one in Dojima's Ge-dan style where he drags the sword on the ground and runs forward (forward-square, I think)

@KennyNugget wow! Ty for the response and resources! It's funny cuz right now I'm currently using tenshin sword style and I found that sword dragged along the ground naturally and that's what I'm using right now so it's awesome to know that that's a good way to train to. How did you learn how to create sword styles with the dojo I have been looking for resources on that but not found anything like complete or yeah I just haven't found anything that's breaks it down and I haven't even messed with it because it was it seems kind of complicated.

Base game no, Empires maybe? So the base game lacks an item that a LOT of characters require to be safe, and that's Dragon Arms. Without the ability to jump-cancel mid charge attack, a lot of high-tier characters will be dragged down a tier or two, like Xing Cai, Wei Yan, Zhao Yun and Zuo Ci. It also doesn't give you the ability to customize third weapons to the full potential, so characters stuck with a bad 4th weapon will also get demoted, like Xing Cai (again), Sun Jian, Liu Bei, Zhu Rong, and pretty much any character I've marked "3rd" in the tier list. I know that Empires allow every item in XL, but I haven't played it in 10+ years now, so I forgot how easy it is to come across each item, but I do know that because Chaos doesn't have the same restriction on HP recovery items, it's definitely not as challenging as the base game and XL (unless you make it a point to NOT use them, like I made it a point to not use Fan Bodyguards in the tier list).

Shoji Martial Arts - Tiger claw Asasho Martial arts - Dragon claw If you equip these weapons while equipping these specific movesets, you will have an option to unlock a special move. I never bothered because both of them kinda sucked.

@@SyaraDefault thanks for the comment! I also played this game, when I was super young. But when I replayed it 15+ years later and tried Chaos, I got hooked all over again. I'd say it's definitely worth getting into again

Honestly, their placements in the tier list are interchangeable. I just think that Sun Jian is a tiny bit safer. His C5 has almost no pre-charge delay and is very spammable for musou filling in all situations. Liu Bei, however, has a poke in his 4th square attack, and his C5 is also slower making it very easy to be interrupted. That's why I mainly use Liu Bei's C6 instead, but it's still slower than Sun Jian's C5.

And hey, if you main Taishi Ci, Huang Zhong or Dian Wei, don't let me stop you from liking them (they look so damn cool lol). With a fan bodyguard, every character is playable on Chaos 👍

Good question. Personally, I'd go with Charge to make his filling even faster. His musou is very strong already, and it has a 3-hit musou ending that does very high damage, which is enough to kill a generic officer and depletes most of a named officer's health bar. In a stage with hyper officers, he may benefit more from Musou, but at the same time, that would also make him less safe because he can't fill an entire musou bar in one C6 combo anymore.

@@realalexg911 You mean "knock out" as in making them go completely limp but not dead, like in WoTS 3? I don't think you can do that in this game. But for most generic characters(not named characters) once their vitality bar runs out, they should kneel down, and you will then have the dialogue options to accept them into your dojo. If you're talking about the Kogure cutscene specifically, I actually just answered a sinilar question in one of the comments below, just yesterday. Make sure the language school is open and choose the right dialogue options

@@KennyNugget yeah i tried to not kill 'Count Jet Jenkins' in the casino but theres no option to make him surrender so i have to kill him lol. thats prob why wots3 have more ending than 4

@@realalexg911 Yeah if you want to achieve the true ending, the only way is to have 1. The hospital open 2. The casino closed 3. The language school open If any of these 3 requirements are not fulfilled, you can only get the "The Minister Lived" ending, where you end up killing Kinugawa's body double, and get executed by him afterwards

@@kafell1 You mean against Kogure? Did you make sure that the language school is open? And if yes, during the encounter, did you specifically choose the dialogue options "Let's not be hasty, Kogure..." and "But it's true, isn't it? About Akagi?"

Trust me, the DW5XL community is still VERY active. Just not primarily in English-speaking countries. Philippines, China and Japan are three countries that still play this game a lot. And some still play it in Vietnam.

Haha what can I say? Everyone needs a villain origin story. The chaos of the land took his father away, so he attempted to end it by unifying the country, but he failed because he's a warmongering meathead himself.

Lol I have absolutely no idea. If anything, he was closer to Zhang Fei, eating a lot but also drinking alcohol a lot, acting brashly, without thinking. Or at least that's what the historical records suggested.

An unfunny fat joke 🙃. And the super weird thing is: this guy was here from the very BEGINNING! When Dynasty Warriors was still a PS1 1v1 fighting game.
