Smoky Cape Lighthouse to Trial Bay South West Rocks NSW Australia
Smoky Cape Lighthouse to Trial Bay in South West NSW Australia is an incredible hike along the rugged coastline. The spectacular forests are varied with a jungle like palm tree forests in the south facing aspects and a dry eucalypt forest on the northern aspects. The beaches are empty with no one around creating a very unique peaceful beach experience. This hike was around 14km with all the little beach and headland detours starting from the lighthouse and finishing up at the campground in trial bay.

The walk encompasses a moderate hike through a 180 million year old forrest with spectacular swimming holes and waterfall views. The Manly to Spit Bridge walk is probably the best walk in Sydney. It is around 10km in length and goes around a beautiful headland that is a nature reserve. A fun adventure with some friends from Australia. We stayed the night in Rifugio Tissi after a nice hike along part of the Alta Via 1 route through the Dolomites. Along the way we stopped at Lago Coldai for lunch and a swim. The temperature of the water was quite cold, but it was refreshing on such a hot day.

Forcella della Neve is an amazing hike which starts at lake Misurina. The hike goes through the Cadini di Misurina massif, the famous instagram place. This hike is more of an advanced hike over the pass as the trail is not well established but the majority of the trail up until the pass is quite easy going.

The Monte Popena hike in the Dolomites is one of my favourite and is less known amongst tourists. There are some challenging parts if you take the circuit that is shown in this video but overall it is an intermediate hike with some advanced sections. This walk along the river bank in the Valley Du Fango (Corsica) was an incredible adventure. The numerous swimming spots along the way made the 35C day bearable and the spectacular mountain views in the gorgeous canyon were outstanding.
