Was this 30s 40s or 50? This is lovely! I miss that peaceful time 😔😔😔😔😔😔❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@CookieBrookhaven73y2 these are mostly from musicals in the early 1940s!
@@ElissaStelzner thx for the info new sub
@@CookieBrookhaven73y2 aw thank you so much!! 🧡
I love michael 😢😢❤❤❤ rip 🙏 MJ You will never be replaced 😢😢❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭😭😭
I’m seeing this for the first time. I love it! Thank you
WOW they make me want to go exercise. AWESOME i remember the old movies.
@@fifthavenuegirl right! makes me want to exercise too 😅
Plus that smile at the end of this edit made me cry😢 that's when you know this has aura even in death
Michael Jackson being a superstar is an understatement, he was the King of Pop and the God of Musical Entertainment bro never disappointed with smooth dance co-ordinating and smooth precision. Even in death, he shattering records and his music is so better than the music in 2024 (some of them). He truly was a gift to the world. Rest in Peace , the Level Maker, record-breaker, standard-maker, God of Entertainment, Thriller maker, Smooth Criminal, Rocker of our world, King of Pop: Michael Jackson
Brilliant videos. So enjoyable
@@edgrossman8929 thank you so much!!
Gene Kelly was pretty darn good 😉
@@mohawkin he was!!
WOW Amazing

Vera Ellen was fantastic! in 'White Christmas' she had the smallest waist in Hollywood 13"!!!
@@jaynetanner3757 she’s amazingly talented!! personally I think her waist is all an illusion in her outfits knowing hollywood and also 1800s waistline practices
I LOVE THIS!!! 🤣😂❤❤
Fred’s looking down smiling, scratching his head and thinking … did I really do all that! Thanks for all the years you entertained us Fred.
So fun to remember all those movies
Unpopular opinion, but the stars back then couldn’t even dance that well. They just had less ‘competition’ in the industry to show them up
Nearly all clips had. Gene. Kelly...he was amazing!!
@@joanneeaton9297 at the time, I’d seen most of his films and not Fred Astaire haha! he had so much talent!!!
Who was the dancer that 'crab hopped' along the line of women who each jumped over him? I wonder how many times he got kicked in the ribs during rehearsal. 😮
@@LLewis-vu9qf 😂😂 right! that’s Gene Kelly! he’s so talented!!
@@ElissaStelzner Thank you. It was driving me crazy that I couldn't really make out his face, he was moving so fast. Quite a maneuver. 😄
this really needs to be taken down. Its disgraceful click-bait if you've not done the work. This would have been a masterpiece if what I was expecting to see is what I actually saw.
@@2008topshelf it’s what the title says, old movie stars dance to a Michael Jackson song

Michael really admired Fred Astaire that's where he learnt some of his moves 😊

This video is NOT a teaching tool, it is simply great dancers (and some not so great) just dancing and making us feel happy. To those who are nit picking, make a dance video of all your fave dancers and see just how good YOU are.
@@terrywright7470 right! took me years to finally understand how to make a perfect dance edit 😂😂
@@ElissaStelzner And rest assured, we "Out Here" thank you for your time and and effort that you gave, in order to give all of us some pleasure. Big Ups to you.
Great dancing, but it doesn’t sync to the music so much.

I'm seeing this for the first time. "Beat counts"? This a nice compilation, and very well put together, and I'm a "Beathead"! Many thanks for posting!
Fred Astaire's elegance is unsurpassed to this day. He was one of a kind. Gene Kelly's energetic moves were amazing. I really miss the talent and dedication the old folks had. Art was something very different then, and much much lovely.

I love 'old movies' % LOVE ERROL FLYNN! looking @ this would say: you are very talented as editor, make great choices visually & sequentially & should get a gig w/ TCM asap..you must love your work! I envy you!
@@beloveddude haha thank you! working at TCM would be so much fun!!!
@@ElissaStelzner have you ever considered contacting/notifying them of your interest/skill/movie background [knowledge/editing ability]? seems you could do the work from where you are on yr computer? as said, I look @ these 'old film dance moves', having found them by seeing whatever was 1st one[fred astaire & rita hayworth dancing to Led Zep tune] & hooked ever since and noticing your name, not paying attention prev...seeing your 1st lead me to others of yours...like deniro says to b crystal: You are good'!
@@beloveddude I have considered reaching out, but my interests lie more in writing for film that editing full time. I appreciate you saying I’m a good editor!! 🧡
Elissa...watch these 'mashup' vids as often as I can & love them!...1st time seeing your name specifically [paying attention/focussing]..this was SO GREAT! MASTERFUL & JOYUS! You are very talented & patient, apparently [lol!] These vids, combining film music & dance are hypnotic 4 me, deeply pleasurable! And appreciate listing of films...would like to see compilation of full original movie/dance scenes from these films...probably in misc 'sessions'...overall, in a word: WOW!

As my dad said. “The Americans can dance. “
@@b-dogswings8019 😂 love that
@@ElissaStelzner I love dance. I love human movement. And in the 20th century, the Americans were the best at it. ( I’m an old English man)
Jackson really had the universal rhythm which made his music so accessible to all types of people.... His music was our music and almost any dancing fits like hand in glove.....

I am so glad I got to go to one of their concerts just before Michael went solo. They were amazing!❤
@@cassandrasmith2727 that’s awesome!!!
Thats real Hollywood talent, not the Hollowweird sh!t coming out of LA today.
I like how they do these bad ass moves without the need to grab their balls.
Fred Astaire taught Michael Jackson personally some of his steps and MJ incorporated it into his own moves.
Kids today have nothing new to offer, they are just repeating whats already been done in the 30s-70s era. Sad.
Desearía ver todos esos conciertos y programas en las que ellos estaban,no me alcanzaría la vida❤MJ te extraño
