Cork for keyboards! | Meletrix Zoom75 TIGA (Quick Build Showcase)
Special thanks to KD.X.JJ and DESK MONXTER for giving me the opportunity to try out the new Zoom75 TIGA early! (Cuz I didn't get picked out by Meletrix sed)
This board came with a lot of configurations which was so overwhelming that I could only fit two in today's showcase. But I gotta applaud Meletrix for giving the amount of options available that we can use to configure this board to our liking. For today's showcase, I paired the board with a new dampening material cork! Yes, that same material used as your cap to your glass bottles. As for the other config I went with foamless!

4:25 my body twitches left and right the moment you hit those keys 😂 good stuff. Planning to grab the black one but it's currently out of stock. Tried asking the shopee vendor and they said it would restock around the end of December 2024. Gotta wait few weeks leii 😭
Go live playing this
89$ are a bit much for this Keyboard, Rainy are better at this price point because i have Inky75 for only 47$ direct order from China xDDDD
Spill the sources 🤣 WOBKey should be avoided if its from their global website.
very w video
Kayoris do you happen to have a link of the gmk clones? Thanks in advance!
Just ordered these and all the parts for a custom keyboard I love the way they sound hopefully it goes well

160$ Budget?
It's about $140 for the Pro variant. The Kickstarter pre-sale prices were starting from $89
For cnc aluminum yes budget is ranging from 79 to 139. Without shipping and taxes ofc. I got the rainy 75 a few months ago for 99 +35 shipping/tax, definately worth the price.Mind you I live in Eu. The rd75 comes also with a more reputable chinese brand with better support which is a big bonus.
Really nice editing and overall good quality review. Definitely underrated Channel and im hyped for upcoming videos!
Nice editing Asian hands❤
wow ice cubes
Sounds like a cloud of rain wrapped in bubble wrap with marbles inside
im contemplating if this or Aula f75 whale sea, I dont like the marbly/thocky overall noisy sound but in some videos it doesnt sound noisy. now im confused
hello
👋
Would love to hear these with an 80HE and on Raw HE switches
I may not have a 80HE with me but I think I can still make it happen with other HE Boards in the future. We'll see 👀
What do you think is the difference of this and RAINY75 in terms of sound profile and specs?
As far I know, im pretty sure theyre basically identical since they're from the same OEM/ODM. Sound wise, i think theres not much of a difference since both keyboards use different switches. If you ask me about order fulfillment, Elecfox wins 🤣
I got mine and noticed the tips of the metal contacts on switches were blackened. Did yours come out fine? I'm scared to replace switches because their contacts might darken too. Not sure what's caused them to go black when I just got them brand new.
May I know if you're referring to the pins of the switches or the hotswap sockets?
@kayoriskeyboards The switch pins had some black gunk at the tips when you pull them out to check :( I haven't checked the pcb
@@LaraFrayre It could be the IXPE foam
which is better, AULA F75 or this kb?
Inky 75
Definitely the INKY75 in terms of quality and price. The Aula F75 happens to also be really great budget plastic prebuilt if that's what you're looking for. - I actually have a review planned for the AULA F75 however due to time constraints, the video is just in my backlog drafts at the moment. At some point I will make a review about it and probably compare it between aluminium boards like the INKY75.
yo what mouse are u using? is it solid for gaming
I'm using the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. From my experience, it's a pretty good mouse for gaming but since I have the first generation, it only supports 1K Hz Polling and uses micro-usb
It's incredible how many channels review keyboards but don't know typing, it's like a thorn in the foot. Edit: I have the same keyboard and its great.
ok so i managed to get my hands on this exact color because i found it for $48 shipped and was not expecting anything special. boy am i surprised those "matcha buttermilk" switches are too smooth, i was comparing it to my xinhais and v2us and was thinking woah this is some HMX level smoothness and viola, i took a keycap off and found out that they are HMX Gravels lol no wonder it sounds clacky! the finish of the kb is meh, it's too rough for my liking but ill take it. best $48 spent on this hobby
Where did you get it from at that price?
@@ThePazuzu some regional ecommerce platform in SEA. few stocks of black and purple were available for 2 weeks, was surprised it took that long for stocks to clear but it nver got back in stock since it went out
Because of this video, I finally checked out the Inky75 and I picked the black variant.
If I will change only tape mod application in my keyboard it should be bigger differnce? Or it's not worth my time? In that kind of job better to change also switches?
Anyone know what the polling rate is and latency when in wired mode?
The board's polling rate is 1,000hz. While I don't have the proper software to test its latency, you can refer to Thoccnology's review of the SK75 as it's basically the same as the INKY75. So the latency should be about 9-10ms
Better than the 'Rainy75' keyboard or quite similar? Or what can you tell me about your experience with it?
In terms of specs, they're pretty similar considering they're manufactured by the same OEM. But I'd go for the INKY75 over the Rainy75 simply because of its price. In case the INKY75 is not available in your area or if shipping prices are expensive, you can also consider taking a look at Womier's SK75 as theyre pretty much the same. As for customer services; From my understanding, WOBKEY's customer service is horrendously bad. So choosing Elecfox or Womier would be a better option if you require customer care.

Advisory 1: One sub-key points I missed out was the types of PCB-Mounted Stabs that the board could support. Whether or not you have screw-ins or clip-ins, please make sure you have a type that have thinner housings as thicker ones like Staebies or QMX may not fit through the included PP Plate. This goes for Womier SK75 owners as well since these two boards are pretty much identical except that Womier offers more plate options but still, I do advice you to check if your plate can support the fittings of your pcb-mounted stabs. Durock V2 & Akko Screw-In Stabs should be compatible as they can fit through standard plates with plate-mount cuts for plate-mounted stabs. if you happen to own the INKY75 or SK75 and have PCB-Mounted stabs installed, comment a reply about the brand you are using. Advisory 2: After some further research, I've concluded that the Matcha Buttermilk/SPM OEM switches featured in the INKY75 are actually HMX Gravel. So for the price of $69-$89, you're also getting high quality switches manufactured by HMX. I've always wanted to try HMX switches but was never aware these were from them lmao.
is this switch better than hmx violet overall? (particularly rainy75)
@@abgiman6311 I'm not sure as I've never tried the Rainy75 or the HMX Violet switches. These switches featured in the video are technically my first HMX switches.
@@abgiman6311not sure about the exact specs.I have a rainy75 with the violets and it sounds extremely close to the inky75 kayoris showed off. I think all the latest gasket mounted chinese/kickstarter cnc aluminum keebs with all the foams included sound pretty similar to my beginner untrained ear at least.

3/8/2024 UPDATE: I managed to take the opportunity to build and produce a lil b-roll + sound test of the KBDFans Margo keyboard. @@kayoriskeyboards Ohhh okkkk my bad ;")
Whoaaa this is nice for the price! I just got a Leobog Hi75 and it is amazing. I only got the kit, wired version for $60. This looks like exactly the same high-quality construction! Thank you for sharing. Next time I need wireless, I am going to get this beautiful keyboard <3 I also looked up the keyboard and while it is $89 on their website and is sold out retailers are really ripping people off. I saw one listing for 140 and one for 180 😮😮😮 Usery is a sin you know hah
Why does this look similar to rainy 75? Are these two the same boards?
It's actually a straight rip of the SK75 by Womier
They do share similar designs but they're not the same boards. They are however from the same manufacturer (supposedly so correct me if im wrong). This goes for many brands like the Womier SK75 that was mentioned. slightly off-topic but from my understanding they're all produced at the same time. Release dates will depend on the companies itself due to factors like shipping time from the factory to the brand's warehouses. In this case, Womier managed to do it first and release it earlier than Elec Fox.
@@kayoriskeyboards as far as i understand, rainy 75, womier sk75, bridge 75 are all extremely similar and manufactured by the same entity. I was personally thinking of buying the bridge 75 plus because I like the keycaps on it and it has a bigger battery. I don't wanna spend extra money on customizations
@@darsh2209 I think the Bridge75 so far is the best budget one amongst the rest and I wished I had one with me lol
@@kayoriskeyboards where can i buy the bridge 75 plus? I saw that most sellers don't have it in stock and we are supposed to pre-order it. How long does it take to deliver?
Great video. I'm looking for a prebuilt with tactile switches, can't find anything besides Nuphy's keyboards sadly.
I'm sure there are still a couple of prebuilts out there that offer them. If you're looking for low budget ones that are below $100 there should be a good variety of brands that offer them. (p.s it's possible to also get a board from NuPhy under $100 if thats what you might be looking for)
i believe they all come from the same main factory, this, bridge75, Rainy75, ND75 chillkey still great as a first board though
Would love to see more boards in the future because cuz I think it's going to be perfect for many people!
There are so many of these from the same manufacterer showing up! This one looks exactly like the Womier SK75. I am definitely not mad at it. What a great time for people to buy a prebuilt aluminum keyboard. I'm honestly pretty jealous because very plain plastic boards that required extensive modding for the same price was all many of us had when we joined the hobby.
Yup it is indeed from the same manufacturer. I did realize it while making this video due to the amount of content of the sk75 popping up haha.
Good review! The only thing IMO that is missing from the board, is a ball catch system to take it apart. That is slowly becoming popular in boards at even this price range.
I totally agree with you, perhaps ball catch or magnet latches are the last thing to get people sold on this
Could you explain what that is to someone that has never heard of this before?.
@@WyattOSheait's essentially a catch system where one end has a pair of metal balls that are kept in place by springs, the other end gets caught in between the metal balls in other words catching it. It's normally found in furniture but it's been growing popularity in custom keyboards. This makes disassembly a convenience.
@@kayoriskeyboards I see. So do you just push the spring/ball in and things get disconnected like that?. I think I've had a couple things over the years with something similar where you pushed the ball in to either extend something or to disassemble it quickly but I'm not too sure if that's a similar (or the same) system.
Yo, it’s been a while. The white one looks very similar to my white bridge75. The sound is so clean from what I’ve heard. The budget board market is absolutely wild now!
IKR! This year's keyboard market is definitely going be another great one. All that's left now is a few more features like the ball-catch system.
Instantly fingerprints on the back panel.
Definitely noticed it the moment I used it 😂
