Honda Civic? 😅
Hi,got any minor or major problem before? Tq🙏🏼
erm, for minor issues when we first collected the car from the showroom there was a squeaky noise coming from the front passenger side fender, so the technician has to adjust it. Then at 30,000KM another squeaky sound appeared but this time due to a cable being loosed in the front passenger side door. The only major issue it had was that at 20,000KM there was an oil leak due to the oil sump not being sealed properly from the factory so it has to be resealed which took two days at the service center. Another issue I had but not yet resolved because the technician couldn't see the issue was the trip computer randomly resetting itself. Like a few times i noticed the trip A and trip B was reseted back to 0km when I start the car. That's from me lah, but some people at the Saga FB page also had issues with the fan belt bearing pulley being noisy and squeaky so they had to change the noisy squeaking bearing and pulley.
@ I see, thank you for your honest reply from the question sir, really appreciated it🙏🏼

Am I reading that right? Your mileage is 485502??
Yeap
Ur car RPM very high my car RPM very low just like under 1000 RPM
@@leebeckham4461 I think it's because when I recorded the video it was a cold start, once the engine warmed up it'll drop back down to 600rpm without turning on the air conditioning.
Just would like to know how much better for gear shifting feel of Saga MC2 Manual if compare to Axia E Manual? I like driving manual car. Considering these two cars now.
@@cannaheng7879 Saga manual is better by a long shot. If you like driving manual the Saga is much better than the Axia.
Heard that this car aircon fast cool because it has a bigger compressor
@@felixgoh7414 Compared to the older Saga BLM models it actually has a smaller compressor for better fuel efficiency. It was very noticeable when we first got this Saga MC2 after switching from a Saga BLM haha. But maybe when comparing to other brands it is, can confirm that the air cond is much cooler than the Axia E.
Bro which type 70 Mai you wear
@@felixgoh7414 70mai A400 bro.
The little sniff we heard when the cat first came up to the camera was adorable :’)
I own Axia E MT (Manual Transmission) but I usally call it Axia E.M.P.T.Y almost 4 years now. Shifting gears not smooth even during it NEW condition, almost 80,000 KM mileage now. The clutch has bit "sound" when driving long distant now even after turn off car. Need to cool it down for few minutes so the sound will be gone. Work fine even if not cool it down. I go to Services Center for full inspection and they say "need to replace 1 set clutch system. Total cost was RM1.2k".
Couldn't you use the second/spare key to unlock the boot?
Yea I use a duplicate key to open the boot sometimes.
@@ethansrandomvideos6312 I assume this Axia E model comes with 2 sets of keys like other cars, right?
@@ksam545 yeah, the reason I duplicate the key instead of using the ones they gave is because I put the duplicate key for the boot in the car. Both the key that came with the car have the immobiliser chip in them. So I would like to keep one of the original keys at home just in case instead of putting it in the car.
What do you think of the Axia E having no rear wiper and no rear defogger? Do you apply / put anything to solve this issue? What's it like on rainy days when you try to reverse your car?
It isn't that bad actually believe or not, the rear window doesn't fog up that hard that I wished it has a deforgger. Probably because the car is so small that the aircond does a good job to prevent it from fogging up. And I also never wished it had a rear wiper maybe it's due that I frequently drive sedan cars that doesn't have rear wipers in the first place.
Hey. Nice vids, how's the difference in driving and shifting feel between Saga MC2 and Vios J MT? Which is a better car in that regard?
Thank you! The driving experience for the Vios is better than the Saga as its more stable, smooth, quiet, spacious and powerful. But the Saga has a much more better gear shifter. The Vios is better when it comes to long distance driving and hauling friends as that's what I primarily used it for. The Saga is good but not better in long distance driving and hauling passengery but it's better in town driving than the Vios as its more nimble and fuel efficient in this scenario.
Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I need a family car that's at least fun to drive, hence the manual so I'm looking through all the options that we have here in Msia. Trying not to go with cars that are too old, but if so, the only options are Persona up to 2020, Saga latest, and Vios keli MT. I'm still skeptical on Proton's long term quality, especially with the little things like their power windows and what not. And also looking at your oil sump leak in the Saga, that doesn't bode well. Have you tried the Persona 2020 MT? I still hate that the Vios and the Persona low specs don't have folding rear chairs. Also, the Vios with no HHA, is it a huge downside compared to the Saga? What do you think?
Both our Vios and Saga has no Hill Hold Assist (You'll have to get the premium AT Saga varient for that if I'm not mistaken). For me so far I never used the Saga's rear folding seat feature yet and I never once wished that the Vios has rear folding seats, the boot it's super large for me. Proton Persona 2020 I don't really have much experience, only driving it a few times. I still preferred the first gen Persona because it had rear indepent suspension which made it corner super well unlike the current Persona which downgraded to rear solid beam suspension like the Saga hence handles similarly. When it came to the oil sump issue it's more towards Proton's assembly plant problem instead of the cars reliability. The power windows yeap you're right they still have issues, I have a friend for bought a Persona 2023 and the drivers side window failed before 10,000KM.
But honestly, Proton Saga's engine and transmission reliability is very good. We had a Saga BLM which almost made it to 500,000KM millege as we replaced it with the new Saga. It also had oil leaks before because of not well sealed gaskets from the factory. But after replacing the gaskets it didn't have any major problems (apart from the power window) and only broke down the side of the road once because the engine crank shaft sensor failed at around 370,000KM millege. Another thing I might want to warn you if you're getting a Proton is the Proton service center is very bad in not following SOP. I encountered many issues with my Proton service center, they actually refused to fix my engine oil leaking problem immediately. I had to call Proton HQ and they swiftly helped me with the issue, warning the service center for not follow SOP and told me to immediately drop the Saga off to get the oil sump resealed on the same day.
Is it safe to drive when raining?
@@aminyusuff7 Drive with caution, don't drive fast, don't corner hard and keep a safe distance with the car ahead of you. The reason are because the suspension is soft, car is light which makes the rear tyres easily loose traction plus skinny stock tyres and no Anti-lock Braking System (ABS ).
I have its twin Toyota Agya manual, the car never broke. It's only need 2 things 1. Oil change 2. Fuel

1:57 It's Very Small 4:21 It's So Luxury Like The Boss At Rear Seat 4:56 Unlike toyota Vios,Having No Spare tire
In your opinion, can 26 inch folding bike be fitted at the back of the car ?
In my opinion, with the rear seats folded down, it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe it's slightly possible to fit it without the rear seat folded at all. For reference, I did a measurement of the rear boot without folding the rear seats. Width: 21.5inch Length: 35.5inch (between the suspension covers). Height: 33.5inch. Please do note that the rear hatch door and rear seats when upright is slanted, the width at the highest point will be reduced to around 12.5inch.
Different of 2 litre is not bad but having larger room and storage seems like saga is a better choice but I think this would be a proper comparison if there was a Bezza you can test on
For a proper first car, the Saga is definitely a better choice. Funny thing was, we tried to get the Bezza 1.0 MT, but after one and a half years of wait Perodua auto cancelled the bookings without telling us, we only knew about it when we called Perodua asking where's our car. The Saga on the other hand, was ready stock and we got it within two weeks. But anyways, i'm pretty sure there are plenty of videos comparing the Saga with Bezza so I think there shouldn't be an issue to find a comparison between these cars. But for me personally, I have driven both 1.0L and 1.3L, the 1.0 Bezza with AT transmission is very underpowered and the 1.3 Bezza is good but the stability is not there, I can feel the car trying to tip over whenever I corner. I'm actually quite lucky to say that thanks to Perodua cancelling our Bezza, we got a way better car for almost the same price.

Covered by waranty?
Yeap
Is that caused my clutch pump? If the sump is leaking, we can't find any leaking from top of the gearbox
Don't think so... I asked about it they said its maybe because it wasn't sealed properly in the factory, and I'm not the first Saga owner to have this issue. They said there were a few new Saga who also had this issue and all of them were equiped with AT.
Cutie pie 🥰 ❤
Hi, between axia E and saga mc2 are they equal in reliability?
I won't say they are equal in reliability, because the Axia has a Daihatsu engine which is well known for it's Japanese reliability. The Saga MC2 is reliable, a workforce for the Malaysian people that won't let you down. Just sometimes it'll act up because Proton isn't know for it's workmanship and final inspection. Like for example recently I had to get the Saga MC2's oil sump to be resealed, it wasn't sealed properly from the factory and there was a slight oil leak. The parts are good, the engine is good and the quality of parts are good. But workmanship in the factory when assembling and final checks are lacking.
@@ethansrandomvideos6312 I got u meant. By d way, owners always face a bit difficult to shift between gears in Axia, and it's shift stick somehow feel like a toy. What ur though on this?
@@truckman7123 Yeah it gets some time being used to the Axia's gear shifter. It's rough, far from smooth like the Saga. For me after driving one week with the Saga or Vios and when I go back to the Axia, I frequently didn't manage shift all the way into third gear because I wasn't hard enough. But after a few days I got back used to it and shifting gears is fine.

Hi! Great review. Proton owner and former Proton Service Advisor here. I currently drive an Iriz 1.6, previously owned the original Saga VVT. I honestly miss that car, I would've kept it if it wasn't for the unstable nature of its CVT, which has been greatly improved on my Iriz. I really recommend new car buyers to get the Saga, especially in its current form. Spacious enough, quite reliable, easy to maintain, comfortable and fun to drive. Just a slight correction, current Protons, are no longer tuned by Lotus, and it hasnt been so since the Suprima S if I'm not wrong. However, they are tuned by Proton Ride and Handling team, which are VERY capable in their own right having learned from Lotus over the years. They may no longer be tuned by Lotus, but the essence is still there!
Thank you for the comment! Really happy to see someone liked my super low budget review haha. Regarding the Saga MC2 with Lotus handling remark. From what my Sifus / technicians said, since the Saga VVT (first version of the MC2) which was released on 2016 before the year Geely took Proton and therefore Proton still owned Lotus. Not only that but the chassis of the Saga VVT/MC2 is just a slightly extended version of the Saga BLM which was tuned by Lotus. So, technically, we could say that the Saga MC2 has a chasis originally tuned by Lotus but also later improved by Protons ride and handling. Also in my opinion, and majority I talk to, Saying the handling is tuned by Lotus sounds more interesting when taking about the Saga hahaha. So there's no right or wrong actually.

Yes you need to start the clutch peddle in order to start the car.
thanks for your honest review , i was considering between saaga manuel and axia e, youbgave me very useful insight. hate that axia not come with central lock and trunk need to open with key, if have it it is perfect with the price
No worries, glad I helped you with your purchase decision. Yeah I agree! If the Axia E has a central lock and trunk release lever it would be perfect.
Central lock and trunk release for Axia E I dont think this was the issue as we can install it via accessories shop with just about Rm200 - 300. For me, the Axia E main let down points is no ABS or ESC system☹。
@@SameSame-gv8ln Yeah but it's already an inconvenience to go after market to some so it's still considered an issue. Plus we won't know how long will the after market parts last, a single original lock assembly from Perodua for one door already cost 95MYR.
