My sick joycon, OBS delay Mario goes up against Level 9 CPU Kirby. New items add buffs to various fighters stats, so collect as much as you can before getting KO'd. did you keep the belmont style down smash or is it the dark energy one? I like that he would kind of play like a sephiroth belmont hybrid and keeps a lot of the belmont move set are there any videos of alucard in competitive play? ps. do you take requests? it would be harder because there isn't a great base model but ryu hyabusa from Ninja gaiden be tight though... amazing work you are very very talented and make me want to figure out how to mod just to get to play this character 🙏🙏

Maybe for Wario have be able to charge his throws to do extra damage and knock back like in his games.
I think Donkey Kong’s cargo throw would translate pretty well to a special pummel mechanic.

This would be a lot better if you didn't focus on making it a copy of another mechanic and instead made it a thing of its own This is why most of them feel useless or simply outclassed: it's not a mechanic fit for smash The only good ones are the "pummels" with utility, like sephiroth, olimar or incineroar For the other characters, you could implement a killing/high damage "pummel" with a large start up for balancing reasons
More special pummel ideas: -DK throws the opponent inside a barrel. -Kirby copies the opponent's ability using the Copy Ability named Copy. -Dr Mario gives viruses to the opponent, making them slower and giving them poisoning (although the poisoning is weaker than Ivysaur) -Toon Link uses the Wind Waker to create a weak temporarily windbox -Sonic could use the Blue Tornado from Heroes, or the Cyclone Kick from Frontiers. -Palutena would use Heavenly Light (one of her Smash 4 custom moves) -Min-Min simply changes arm. -Steve could pummel with his pickaxe. While slower and dealing less damage, it gives him a resource. -Another idea for Steve: He throws an Ender Pearl forward, dealing no damage but teleporting a few meters ahead while still holding the opponent, allowing him to get closer to the blast zone to got for a kill or repositioning him around his blocks for combos. The Ender Pearl would despawn if it goes below Steve's ground level and not do anything if it doesn't touch any surface, so no teleporting offstage or to lower level platforms.
Does Shulk use monado arts during the special pummel? And if so would be be possible to switch to another one if he's already in one? For example like Buster into Smash art.
Immediately subbing
for bayo, a simple use of her forward smash could work. but if you want something unique but undoubtedly more work than necessary, i'd suggest using one of the angel arms, more specifically Accolade D's shield. you could angle the launch for it to combo with aerial side b, a tool in her kit that most bayo players use regularly to start or even continue combos

In terms of mechanics from Rivals of Aether, I wonder if it's possible to add hit falling to smash ultimate.
I really hope this helps i went through the entire roster but could only think of most of them. I’m just going to go by roster number on the website the ones that sound like just buffs or de-buffs are supposed to come with a shitty throw or pumble. . means no change needed 1. Cape 2. . 3. . 4. Point blank charge shot or ice beam(would still use up charge) 5. Put them in an egg 6. Currently bugged 7. gun takes a moment to start(like the original) but dose massive damage 8. . 9. Side special 10. Pk fire 11. Weaker up B but buff next neutral B 12. Strong 360 windbox 13. . 14. . 15. . 16. Like snake down throw with up special (they will have time to tek role or they will get hit) the up b timing and distance is made to read tec role if the sheek guesses correct. Gives her a situational kill move. 17. Quick Neutral b. Makes next knight charge faster. 18. Cape 19. Damage both targets until they mash out. The target taking more then pichu 20. Up b pick the direction 21. Start side b a. Damage shield 22. Grounded up b (may be too good) 23. Same as falcan 24. If target is over 60% use stun attack 25. Next neutral b charges faster or no more week spot for x seconds 26. Charge bucket by one if target has a charge of something or an item consume it (charge shot, jiro) 27. . 28. ? 29. ? 30. Stun gun 31. Fast Taunt/counter with no grab relies lag for ether. If they are hit at the start or end of the taunt the loose some woft. some ideas here: Mewtwo: teleport himself and the opponent to the stage center Banjo: it's the longest special pummel animation, throhws the opponent and regains 1 wonderwing. Marth: preforms side special that doesen't launch his opponent. Lucas: use PK thunder and preforms his recovery point blank. Sora: Stacks a status effect related to the current state of nuetral special, cycles to the next special in the neutral special wheel.

4:00 So, what you're telling me is, Greninja and Meta Knight _don't get a special pummel._ Teleporting, then choosing which direction to send your opponent is just throwing with extra steps. Sure, you could mash B as you grab, or you could just _hold a direction._
what if sonic had a special pummel where he circles around the opponent (spin dash or not) and makes them dizzy, like in sonic the fighters

This. This is what I've been wanting from the Smash community. Not the destructive "Cutting Down the Roster" videos that have gained so much popularity over the past year.
yeah no clue why those are so popular, hardly bothered watching a third of the first one I saw and didn't click the rest. Basically the content creator side of the community going "ok we want the next title to suck actually"
God i hope the director of the next smash game is a fan of Rivals of Aether and also a fan of your videos! Great video.
The special pummel of meta knight will be more logical if he teleport and take the opponent with him and you can choose if you want to hit him or not.
A few special pummel ideas… Hero: Uses a random debuff spell to lower one or more of the enemy’s stats. Yoshi: Traps them in an egg like the neutral special, though they’re trapped in hitstun for a bit after breaking free. Wario: Uses down special. Steve: Attempts to place blocks behind the opponent. Sonic (and I know people are going to hate me for this): Has Sonic perform a bouncing attack on the enemy and fly in any chosen direction. Sort of a “reverse throw” where the opponent stays where they are after being hit and Sonic gets to reposition himself.
2 ideas: Sheik: Her special pummel would deal 0 damage, instead at the same speed of her normal pummel, she would ready her needles, 1 needle per pummel. Inkling: Dump a bucket of ink on them
Icees, let nana be actionable, this would go for some nice desync combos
I think a really cool one for Kirby would be for him to use the Copy ability from Kirby Super Star to get a copy ability from the opponent he's grabbed without having to inhale. Despite dealing no damage, this would be one of the fastest special pummels in the game, allowing Kirby to get throws in much earlier than other characters. While I also like your Meta Knight idea, I think something cooler for him would be to take out of Wrastor's book and allow him to drag opponents upward with his rising slash from his Star Allies boss fight, though compared to Wrastor's equivalent this would be slower but actually deal a bit of damage. Also I think Dedede's special pummel should just be him stuffing the enemy into his mouth for an instant inhale. It would be funny I promise.
Since Sakurai took away puffs combo throws from past games and puff doesn't have any kill throws, I think it would be cool to have puffs special pummel change her throws. Finally. up throw -> rest

There are so many possibilities for this concept. Inkling's special pummel could place down Toxic Mist and opponents become slower the longer they stay inside it, Link's special pummel could be Cryonis and it would function similar to Wrastor's special pummel, Toon Link's special pummel could be the same as Link's but with the sand pillar, etc. The ideas are honestly endless.
Kirby’s special pummel would obviously just be swallowing the opponent, but what if he already has an ability…? Yep, he copies their special pummel. Kirby feature-creep has reached its final stage.

This is an incredibly cool idea, lots of potential here and it gets my mind racing. Love how you use actual gameplay to demonstrate these ideas. Ivysaur's special pummel is my favorite, nice to finally see the Poison status effect on a move other than self-inflicting it through Hocus Pocus or getting hit by Rathalos.
