Chester’s suicide was probably an unexpected tragedy but in hindsight maybe the signs were there. He clearly was still reeling from Chris’ own suicide and it’s obviously NO coincidence that Chester waited until Cornels BIRTHDAY to end his life. Suicide Contagion. A morbid tribute to one of his best friends. I didn’t realize how close they were until reading somewhere that Chris made Chester a Godfather to Chris Jr. so they go back a ways and clearly had a strong bond. In addition to depression they both had highly publicized bouts with hard drugs and alcohol. I feel for all the family that were left behind. Depression is so taken for granted. Just The fact that the people who commit suicide are so sick mentally that they can rationalize an emotionally selfish death over responsibilities of being there for family is disturbing. Maybe this should be enough of an eye opener that deadly bouts with depression leads to moments of irrational behavior and regretful choices and no one is ever “cured” of depression. RIP

To me, it seems most appropriate that he picked that exact moment to talk about that matter, because I very clearly remember visiting Winchester Cathedral and lighting a candle on the day of Chester's funeral. 🕯️
