Hi man! I've just set up my Dolphin and now have concerns regarding prop, how to avoid this situation? how to correctly chose prop for your motor?
First I would check what the motor is recommending. Next thing would be to perform a bench test, pay attention to cut your fingers, force constant throttle around 80% and check OSD how many amps and voltage is drawing. Next try it on the field, do not go to far and check it you manage to flight the wing at high throttles without damaging your lipo lion.
Great video man. I had this happen to me last week except I totally smoked my motor at high speed and it’s not I nice feeling coming in dead stick. Great job with the landing, superb piloting skills. Keep the videos coming……Rotorflex👍
I've been flying for a while and this is the first time I experienced this situation. My main concern was to keep the wing on a good angle of attack and avoid stalling. Turning at that altitude was not the best idea but I handle to put the wing away from the wet land.

I would suggest you to perform Autotune on your wing to get your rates. All dolphins are different in function of your components and mechanical setup

That tall grass sure helps with the heavy ones! Is that a 6x6 folder? I just picked one up off eBay, tried it for two packs on my VAS Wyvern and went back to a 7x5.5 fixed. How did you like the folder?
that is a 9x4e blade (no folding). I am currently testing an 8''

I have added my PID values on the description. Please pay attention on copying them. As written those are very high Ps that my servos can manage to handle as well as my wing customazation.

Out of curiosity, why does the compass keep showing north, even when you turned around? Edit: Perhaps it’s not showing the heading of the plane? I just noticed that it changed once you flew overhead? It seems odd behaviour!
Around 4.4 Km I lost OSD telemetry (bug) that is why I turned back home.

Hey nice flight for a plane at 1250g. I started subbing. Looking to see more flights...
Great plane from atom rc…. But their order management/customer service is terrible. I tried over 2 months to get my order right. They asked for the same pictures 3 times. The pictures were in their emails asking for pictures.(all they had to do is scroll down). They just wanted me to give up. They have one contact for the whole company. I did give up , never got a refund either. Super shady business.
They're a fantastic plane hey! Like your camera angle but can't see how you mount it beneath without damaging it on landing?? Lovely spot too. Looks like Oz ??

For 6S, what's your iNav launch throttle?
looks like on the osd idle is 20% and launch is 50%
Iddle Th = 1200 Launch Th = 1500 Climb Angle = 25

yes, you will need to select an ESC - Motor - Propeller combo for an specific design.

Nice. But maybe more interesting if you'd have been 5ft off the deck or sea for the first couple of Km's on the way out and back. I find that with good LOS, you can easily go 2+ Km while skimming the deck or sea in this case with DJI.

Is it possible to use a go pro hero 11? Or just go pro 5s - 7s?
I have the GoPro 7 without need to ballast on the back. Any other heavier might require extra weight on the back to CG
Nice setup and interesting location to fly in. What's the distance to those offshore wind turbines out there? Can this 6s Dolphin make it out there for a few aerial orbit shots of them perhaps? That would make for some awesome footage. You can fly low over the waves to get there too. 😄
They are exactly 3Km away and my video setup range is around 4km. Batteries and engine set up can easily go there. I've been several times but have not dare to fly low at that distance surrounded by turbines :)

Full throttle is not corrected. You shouldn't ever need full throttle with this model. It also appears that you are stick slamming with no Expo added to your controls. Pusher airplanes like a little tail weight, and a upward motor position to keep the nose up with very little thrust.

@@acropilot5693 What are the recommended throw/endpoint settings? I can't find them anywhere. What do you think would be a good expo rate for a beginner?
I have around 10mm throws and 30% expo for both. If you are beginner I would recommend you to set them around 7 mm. For the maiden I would recommend you to add 1mm reflex. CG on this wing is spot on on the marks but you can always forward them about 1-2mm from the centre marks to be a bit nose heavy. This is not a beginner wing because it has a long nose easy to break but if you want to go ahead try to make it as light as possible (4s small lion pack) and reinforce behind the nose and use the flat nose.
@@acropilot5693 I fly fpv quads very well already and have tried sim for wings. Seems waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy easier than quads.
Yes they are once you learn how to avoid stalls and well trim a wing. Try to practice on a sim with varying wind conditions. Happy flights.

Maybe the only thing that restrain me to buy the 03 air unit is the Inav OSD elements display.

I think I add on the description but I will give you some extra insights. All electronics swap and GoPro swap from Arwing Pro to Dolphin, same FC, same servos, (Arwing Pro linkage are stronger but I reinforced the elevons as much as I could), similar auto tune and auto trim strategy (Inav), similar PIDs tuning strategy. Similar weather conditions but not the same, stabilisation in the GoPro is enabled for both. Dolphin is much more stable both in pitch and roll. Check my latest video (steady flight with raw caddx vista - GoPro failed to record)
