Dont wanna be the🤓guy but its better to either use a crankpuller or just heat the inner ring of the bearing to max 100°C and freeze the crank. Cause the problem is that the force that is put on the crank with the case splitter puts a lot of stress on the crankbearing in the middle.

Seems to me it would have been a little easier if the bike was upside down- specifically for putting the motor back in -less gravity to fight!! Good video though - my new e MTB dropper cable is hung up and I might need to lower or remove the motor to replace the cable & housing…..

With all the anti pollution add ons enforced upon nore modern bikes combined with extra electronics; even HISS and EFI, it just seems to put extra strain on the electrics so they wear out. Maybe that has something to do with it? I am not sure but maybe.

Hi, I have a 1996 rrt SC33 UK model. 30,000 miles it's done. It's mint. I've owned it for 13 years I've recently changed the rectifier as it was getting very hot. I bought a usb / voltmeter display/ cigarette lighter thing that connects to the battery via a fuse. (It's very useful) I've housed in on the H frame and it sits perfectly. When not running it displays 12.4 volts and 5 amps. And when running it displays 14.4 volts and 5 amps. So all is well yes? Anyways... The bike runs beautifully but the stator area does get very hot even before the engins casings. Are 1996 fireblades problematic too? Should I get another ? Best regards. see my ch a. N n el perhaps?

I bought my 16yo son a 2017 MT03 for Christmas, just gone, for $4k on finance, paying it off at $32 a week next 4 years, He just past his Learner bike Licence here in New Zealand. I have a 2007 Blade, Yes the Blade feels heavier , but no more heavier than if i go to the super market on his bike and fill up a back pack to ride home with. Honestly, I think this is the last of the pure FireBlades, minimal electronics, no fly-by-wire bs etc, as utterly ridable, responsive and controllable if you dont want to wind it open. It’s like having a nice big fancy classy full-size Ford truck and a guy in a Ferrari says those trucks aren’t fast.
