I have been a home gym owner since 2016 and on my 3rd iteration of my gym! I started my home gym journey because there was no powerlifting gyms around me at the time and I wanted a place for me and my friends to train. I have been powerlifting since 2017 competing in 82-90kg weight classes (still not a 500 dots lifter). I have jumped into the deep end of being a home gym owner while on my powerlifting journey. I like trying out different things and trying to work with what I have to mimic machines from commercial gyms. You will catch me making videos on gym equipment I purchase and acquire throughout the years! Hope you stay along for the ride!
Sorinex Squatober Glute Ham Roller after 2 years
This is the Sorinex Squatober Glute Ham Roller. I bought mine back in September 2022 and got it in the first week of October 2022 for $129 shipped to my door. It's a versatile piece for your home gym and gets the job done. It is pretty pricy, but with it being made in the USA its going come with that premium price. I am not affiliated with Sorinex or being compensated for this review. You can check it out in the link down below.

Insane 30,000 Dollar basement home gym! (Trailer)
Looks good. I've yet to try squats with the VTS.
yes the pressing movements are definitely my favorite on the VTS. Calf raises are my favorite on the VTS
Would this work to use the two long arms and make a diy lever arm with the isolator ?
You can do this with the isolator, I’ve done rows with this setup but it takes a lot of extra attachments to get it working well
I’m like some kind of… supernova…
what squat stand is this?? need similar for bulletproof stuff too
Sorinex squat stand!
DEEEEEEEP
soooooooooooo deeep
bust it down…. lolwick..
Hey just wanted to get this quick short out on how I like doing my smith squat on VTS. I am using red bands to give me some counter weight, and I adjust my feet so my legs are more upright when performing the lift. My tips and technique aren’t going to be for everyone so take it with a grain of salt. I am using the rogue stump bar on my VTS. As always if you got any questions leave them in the comments!
Deciding between these and the Bare Steels. Don't want to really spend the extra on the Bare Steel, but your knurl comment concerning me. Can you elaborate on the difference more?
Yes, the bare steel equipment handles feel like an aggressive power bar, probably 16tpi. The new bare steel handles are stainless as well. Sometimes they offer boneyard sales on the handles. The griffin handles are much more passive and I’d compare it to a rogue ohio bar. For general use and versatility I think the griffin handles are better for multiple exercises. The baresteel handles are great for rowing and pressing movements. It comes down to preference and use for sure. Ive never had them but I also heard good things about the average joes handles
@@andie_pl Thanks for all that! Id be all about the average Joe ones to try since they seem the perfect middle road here, but seems like he's taking orders for delivery closer to April for ones that will fit my U90s. I have an Ohio Power Bar, so would be nice to get the knurl to feel close to that, but not sure extra money nice. Lol Do the griffin knurl still have some bite to them in your hands, or is it just enough to give some grip?
The griffins is definitely enough to get a good grip but not like an aggressive barbell. If you are training with multiple people griffins are a goos buy. Wait for a sale though on the griffins they seem to run sales 10% throughout the year. I also wanna try the average joes as they look really nice, if baresteel could add knurl marks on their handles that would probably win me over lol
@andie_pl right on! Thanks for all the input there! What did yo u mean at end of baresteel would add knurlmarks?
Awesome vido man, def just earned a new sub! I'd love a vid on the set up of that rad rack set up, it looks like you have a functional trainer pully system and lever arms for the front uprights if i saw that correctly? If so, do they interfere with each other at all? Im having a ver similar idea as to what you do with a 6 post set up using the VTS on the interior and then cables (possibly levers too hence the inquiry lol) on the outside as well.
thank you for that! I have a Rogue Monster Slinger setup for my RM-6 and the rogue trolley arms. The only times they get in the way is if I am using a low row attachment near the bottom of my rack and the cable sometimes rubs on the trolley arms. If I had the rogue functional trainer attachment the trolley arms would get in the way for sure just because of how the cable management is. I think the VTS inside the rack is a good idea ass it keeps it out of the way for the most part. I currently have my VTS Lite hanging near the top of the uprights on my current setup
Your set up looks great and awesome video. I found that I dislike my VTS. There is something off with it, the box came damaged from shipping, some of the components of one of the units were bent. I'm not sure if this ruined its normal functionality or what, but I cannot fit a barbell across it. I worked with the folks at BPF to get some replacement parts, I changed them out, but honestly, it didn't do it for me. It's a nice idea, but honestly, I'll wait until rogue eventually releases some smith attachment like they just did with their functional trainer and drop-in rhino. Glad to see it worked out for you though.
Good points and thank you for sharing your experience with the VTS. I definitely think it’s not for everyone in terms of feel and use. Rogue releasing a smith attachment with their bars would be pretty good. I’d like to see something that uses guide rods and not just the uprights from them
I’m looking to get their seated iso row so wanted to see what the quality on their equipment is like.
It’s good, but the powdercoat doesnt feel as premium as other machines/usa made equipment I have. I think for the cost its pretty good, it doesnt feel like the syeedee or gmwd fitness of the worlds. but it doesnt feel as premium as the prime fitness’ of the world. Their iso row has been something on my radar as well. but I am looking into used/marketplace first before committing.
@@andie_pl I’m fine with the powder coating. Honestly was going to go with the GMWD one tbh but seen this had knurled handles but unsure if just knurled handles is worth the $1100 premium over the GMWD for what seems to be similar functionality. I priced out Prime recently and it’s was almost $4700 shipped and a 12 month lead time. There are very few good options in the used/FB Marketplace. I see the Valor Fitness/Titan Fitness/Body Solid ones all the time. There’s a selectorized one not too far from me which I’m considering but it’s not technically an ISO and getting a selectorized machine in my basement sounds awful. Waiting to Black Friday to see what my option should be. But thanks for the response.
This is a GREAT review. Thank you so much!!! You've pretty much addressed all the questions I had when I first the product on BFF site. I am now going to buy this!!
I appreciate those kind words! glad it was helpful

Beautiful piece. They should find away to add removable handles for ab work
absolutely, they’ve had this model around for a long time and it could use some updates like that

fast asf bro wtf
Thanks for these reviews! Do you notice a difference in smoothness or how well they keep the bar from moving out of horizontal between the lite and the standard?
Yes its not that noticeable, but I think the VTS is smoother with the 4 way roller system. The lite feels like theres more play side to side
Does it fit on a 2.3 by 2.3 . Look very good
I don’t think it would. would probably have to move to 3 x 3 rack or 2 x 3 at least
Nice video!
ty sire 🫡
How you liking them? Was thinking these from Griffin or Average Joes.
they are okay, I think the average joes might be better. just a longer wait though. I am not sure how often average joe ships out, I looked once to buy some and the lead time was around 12 weeks. not sure what it is now though
Have you tried using a SSB?
Hey! I tried using the elitefts ssb however it is too thick to fit the current hooks bulletproof has for sale. They are currently working on a solution for the somewhat thicker bars
Subscribed. Im definitely looking forward to a full on review. Im very curious on the footplate & how far forward it can be adjusted.
Appreciate that! I am going to get that down on my notes for the review on this piece!
How tall is your rack? I have the 90' rm4 with the vendetta trolley arms on the uprights. I'm afraid i won't be able to latch the hook on the vts lite when the vendetta trolley arms are at the highest point on the rack. you mind asking you how tall you are? Great and thorough review!
Hey I have a 90” tall rack and I am 5’8”. I wouldn’t recommend having the VTS Lite and Trolley arms on the same uprights as it gets a little crowded. If you have the long trolley arms, maybe putting the VTS lite on them might be more convenient
@@andie_pl I'm out of room actually so I have no choice, lol. Quick question, I was planning on putting the vts lite and the trolley arms facing away from each other on the uprights. Would the backside of the vts lite, hit the trolley arms if they were in the down position? I hope that makes sense, thanks for the help!
@@andysadvice3236 So the bracket of the vts lite sticks out 2.5”. The trolley arms at a down position is 2”. It might fit because the rollers only go out 1.5” from the back side. Its possible but I haven’t tested this theory yet
informative vid thanks bro
What calf block were you using in this video? Thank you
it is the steadfast lifting calf block, they are no longer in business
Just get the titan fitness stand alone split squat stand. It's going to be way more comfortable than any rack attachment roller, it won't be awkward to use, you can position it perfectly, and if you get it on a good sale it's like $40 less than the rogue fitness roller or the same price at the worst.
VTS!!! This is making me want one of my own..
yeah ill sell you this one
Hey man, great video! Thanks for making this. If I can give you some constructive feedback on your video production, the audio mix is VERY low. I really had to crank up the volume about 20% to hear you. Just something to consider for the next one, so keep them coming! 😊
i appreciate the feedback, ill see if i can adjust the audio volume up. i record off my iphone so i might have to just put the mic up close lol
@@andie_plHey Andie, that was me commenting above from my personal channel. Since then I made this one and just posted my first video. I did some research on recording audio and ended up buying the Hollyland Lark M2 wireless lav mic. If you want to see how it sounds, feel free to check out the video. It wasn’t very expensive and I think it works pretty well. Super easy to use, too.
How do you feel about squats? Just got VTS standard and used it for the first time for squats. I did get some back pain. Although I am new to smith machine squats altogether…
Hey chrisa the smith squats are one of my top exercises for the VTS. However my advice would be to add counter weight like bands to help you out of the bottom position of squat. This isnt medical advice but If you are experiencing pain I would definitely seek professional experience. As for the smith squats itself try out different foot placements for your setup and keep the weight light. smith squats will limit you to a certain path where normal barbell squats will give you more room for play
Is there another way to latch the barbell instead of using the holes on your uprights? They can be easy to miss. Also, does it comes with safeties in case of a failed squat or bench? Maybe hitch pins?
Yeah theres another hook system you can get that will latch onto a hitch pin on the side of the rack. Theres no safeties that come with the VTS lite but you can use a hitch pin to bottom out or catch it if you fail a squat, just make sure to have it on both sides. I kinda like that you can latch onto holes in the rack that way you can technically latch or fail at whatever point on the lift
Does the lite version have more side to side wabble when using as a smith machine? Thanks!
its pretty smooth when using with little side to side wobble. The lite trolleys were intended to be built without much adjustability so the design is pretty well packed together. because of the trolleys being aligned with the upright and barbell unracking and racking the hooks could be uneven. it takes a little to get used to it but overall not too bad
This was what I was worried about 😢. I think I’ll wait for other transitional smith machine attachments
i hear its BuildProof Andie now.
every time i hear bulletproof i think of the song by la roux lol
Gym walkthrough? Looks like you’ve got a pretty insane set up man.
I got some pieces to bring down and I can finally do an updated tour
Love that strive mang
you tricked me to get it 😬😏
Is the mechanism smooth? Are you able to load it so that the strength curve is good at the top and bottom?
yes for the most part the pendulum squat is pretty smooth. it does have a counter weight arm and you can add more weight to it so its easier out of the pocket when coming back up. otherwise if you want the max weight at the top dont use the counter weight arm
Any idea where they are manufactured?
Pretty sure the VTS is made in china. The owner usually posts about his factory showing prototypes and him actually there testing prototypes
Havr you tried the pritchet pad the way you have it in the video with a barbell instead of open trap bar?
I haven’t used the Pritchett pad before. But I assume you are referring to the thresher pad. I have used a normal barbell with this setup before and the bar hits the safety thats why I used the open trap bar for this. I have pretty short arms in general so trying to get full ROM in this setup I would need to use an open trap bar, or a barbell with handle attachments.
question for you boss man!? worth the extra upgrade to stainless steel on this dip attachment or na? don’t have dip attachment as i sold mine with previous rack and upgraded rack but need another dip attachment! thanks in advance! Clean vid! keep em coming bro!
Hey thank you for that! It’s hard to say because functionally the stainless upgrade dip attachment is basically the same. I think if you’re already trying to get the best in terms of aesthetics it’s worth the upgrade, definitely looks nicer imo. Especially the handles, the stainless handles look nicer and less maintenance than the black handles. If you don’t care and just want a quality dip bar then the standard powder coat is fine. Rogue ran a black friday $20 off the standard version last year so I’d keep an eye out for that if you want the powder coat version.
This is a great review. Not boring at all. It was to the point, informative, and most importantly not a lot of unfunny humor plastered throughout lol.
I appreciate that feedback!! I always try to be brief and not drag on too long
is the handles too long to use for lever arms?
If you have the rogue trolley arms on a rogue rack it would give you 6” of open space between the arms. It’s doable but annoying to get into position. I think MM recommends the 12” handles for trolley arm use
You got some dope bars in the background
Thanks for sharing
not a problem, appreciate you watching
Bro can you plz provide links in description? I can’t find them

Nice addition to the gym bro 🙏
come thru to test it out
How long was the drive? I’ve seen some good deals on Facebook as well, but they’re all at least 5 hours each way, always worried they’ll flake
It was 3 hours round trip with disassembling and carrying out the machine. I lucked out and the seller was a gym owner, so I didn’t have to take a gamble on someone really random and picked up at their gym. My seller could’ve flaked and I would’ve been so mad lol. 1-1.5 hours one way is probably my max for driving. 5 hours one way is pretty risky to go
How fast was the strive machine re-assembly for you?
quick because lord huugs was able to help while you were avoiding..
that push at the end was impeccable
