Annie Clark of St. Vincent at Bonnaroo 2009
I quit 8 years ago, but still have to watch this at least once per year because something I experience reminds me of the accuracy of this video.
One of my favorites is when you're stocking or have your back turned or anytime really and the say "hey, im looking for....." I'd really rather hear "excuse me" instead of "hey "
I just started working here on 3 months ago and 13 years later this video is still relevant as ever.
Every bit is fact
Still relevant 12 years later.
Bahahahahahahah
I think of this video literally everytime a customer says they left their bags in the "other car"
Haha. Annie is obviously on drugs here. Look at her eyes, sweat and jaw movement 😂 It’s in the air.
Oh. It hurts....
You don’t know this, but this video is huge in the TJ’s community. Basically everyone quotes it
I absolutely know this!! 😊
<3
Omg amazing!!!! "What do the bells mean?" "It means it's time for you to pay and get out." Lol so accurate
Wow
almost 10 years later and customers STILL ACT LIKE THIS LMFAOOOO
I work at Trader Joe's and this video is so on point... Oh my God. Especially during the holidays
there needs to be a covid version of this..
I resemble this video. 😊❤️🕺
I can’t believe this is the 1st time I’m seeing this. 😊❤️🕺Bravo to whoever made this.
And Tim Burton yet again has wished another dream girl of mine into reality.
Me: standing at a register Customer: are you open? Me: no, I’m just standing here for fun. Yes I am open, why the hell else would I be standing here
Feels like the beginning of a found footage movie
Oh god. No.
How about when old people and people who just had surgery ask for the bags to be really light, and they got nothing but bottles, cans, and jars
As my friend says: you can have em light or your can have em double but you CAN'T have both!
@@TheMaria614love that
Wow this is so accurate... we all just living the same life at TJ’s huh?
Yes. Dear God, yes lol
Nothing has changed 😂
that was fucking weird man
ANNIE!!
Mew is just EPIC 💯💥👌
Damn this is so uncomfortable to watch ! I wish I could scoop her up and get her out of there.! That guy really sucks!
god tier
oh man, I love this show. I was on the upper level of stage right. This will go down as one of my most cherished memories. Wish the audio was a bit better tho :/
Kaizen
Trynaman Bruh, exactly.
So ridiculous! And yet so unfortunately accurate lol... thanks for making this :)
Lame!
And no, your bad ass kids can't ring the bell. Can they use the intercom in Walmart? Hey, how about you get off the phone and actually watch your kid with that little cart, before they trip someone. Oh, sure, let's let the little brat hand me every item in the cart. Oh sure, I don't mind baby sitting your kids while I ring and bag. He's been screaming in the store for an hour, but how about some stickers and a sucker for that bad behavior.
Sun Reigns this comment touches my soul
Why did you wait until you got all the way to my register to ask me where something is, OUT IN THE STORE? We are all over the place. You could have resolved this. But it's cool, let's have the whole line wait until we see if we have it. I work in a busy store and this has got to be my biggest pet peeve. When I see 10 crew members but you waited to ask me. It's like, "Can I leave my register and go look? "
One of my personal favorites is "Do you guys have that wine that is really good? I don't know the name but it's red and had a white or black label on it. I just bought it two weeks ago."
It's ALWAYS a wine!
Esokol88 I work at a grocery store in Rhode Island, and here there is a law that a grocery store cannot sell alcohol. Everyone in Rhode Island knows this, but everyone still asks where the wine is
lololol too real
spot on!
David Cross wannabe.
Watched them last night @ Ringlers Annex in NW. She killed it just the same!
Classic
why did she stop recording
Am i hearing this right at 4:39 "I'm sorry you got stopped, that sounds like a real bummer" Then the guy says "I don't know what you're talking about annie" then she tries to explain herself and the lady behind the camera says "don't listen to her" then the guy said "yeah we'll erase that" I don't understand why that happened… anyone know?
oh my god, i just caught that. that's really weird, and then annie's face after that
I've been trying to figure it out too (ie. I rewatched that segment like 10 fucking times), but I think it's impossible to put into context because I think they did edit out a little bit of the interview, and whatever caused her brief upset reaction at 4:47 is impossible to determine. Which, you know, is like... super aggravating because I'd like to know myself. Like, why even leave a small trace left of the fluke in the first place? Ugh.
Just a guess: Maybe the interviewers got busted with drugs? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
She says "you guys gotta stop" because the interviewer brought up race for whatever reason and annie was offended by it.
Yusef Mechaiekh but annie says "i'm sorry you guys got stopped, that sounds like a real bummer" and the interviewers got offended by that. the race thing was really awkward but i don't think that's what the whole "don't listen to her" thing was about.
@pennstpat THANK YOU.
Haha, love this. Every single pet peeve of mine crammed into one video.
this interview is soooo horrible lolol.
Elastic perception of time is my bet. Just after being a complete idiot.
Exactly! What makes them think they are entitled to being treated with respect?
I work at 14th union square...dude these customers are just exactly like that...this shit is too funny
I work in the Manhattan one....its insane
She's HATING this.
The Trader Joes I went to had a bagger in addition to a cashier. A lot of the food at Trader Joes is a little higher priced than at the shitty supermarkets I used to go to, but it's much better food though.
Not sure, but I don't think she was actually angry
