I think it might be easier to understand when you say that: trans is a term for someone who doesn't identify with the gender that was assigned to them at birth (for example they were born as a girl but don't feel like a girl). It's an umbrella term for trans binary people (umbrella term for trans women and trans men) and trans nonbinary people (umbrella term for genderfluid, agender and more)

As a swede it feels weird and kinda funny how hard it seems to be for people to pronounce Blåhaj correctly

My experience was literally just my dad roasting me like he legit just said “I always knew you’d be the bitch in a relationship.” like legit hilarious, I was coming out as both bi and trans in one convo just absolutely speedrunning that shit and in one sentence basically said “Yeah i support you but you’re a bottom.”

Why wouldn't you include terms that are lesser known. I knew all of these easily despite not really being an active member in the online trans community. Also, a lot of your definitions are just straight up wrong. Like for instance AFAB stands for "ASSIGNED Female at Birth," and your definition of transmedicalism was vastly generalized.

I made a whole minecraft world to come out to my parents. Just had them watch (individually) as I walked down different pride flag paths till I came to a chest that had a book with my new name in it. I wonder if the world still works...it's on ps4, and I haven't opened it since 2 yrs ago (almost 3 now) when I came out. 😅

The way my friend came out was slightly amusing in retrospect. (I would have preferred it if she had come to me in person, but it's fine that she came out the way she did over the internet because that was just what she was comfortable with.) She came prepared with the enclosed instruction book explanation of what gender and how it's culturally constructed as though I would be totally in the dark but I knew exactly what she was talking about and even told her that I thought about my own identity from time to time. I didn't condescend her or anything for obvious reasons but it's interesting to look back on that moment because it shows what a difficult step that was for her to take even online and the courage it took.

When I began coming out, it was June 8, 2021 with a PM to my Primary Care Physician. June 9 was phone calls to my brother and to a couple of best friends. June 10, I excused myself during a slowdown in work to go chat with HR. Everyone was super supportive. Over the next few weeks, I’d either call or pm friends and family to give them a heads up before making a general announcement on FB on July 18. In the midst of all this, I had an accident that would lead me to being diagnosed with a concussion on July 15 and a placement on disability on July 19. While on disability, I chose my new name. Upon returning to work, I was answering to my new name and my coworkers had been briefed and were happy with addressing me correctly. I lost no one of consequence during that 2.5 months. I started therapy on July 15 and HRT in early December.
