The Best Back Pack For Coyote Hunting
When I need a pack to carry my rifle and gear, I usually choose my Eberlestock Mainframe with a scabbard.
It allows me to quickly employ my gun and tripod without the need to carry any other sustainment items.
Like I discussed in my previous video covering equipment I carry, these items are multi use. I’m glad I had my bipod because it happened fast and I was in the open, tucked behind the smallest amount of grass I could find. But as the situation developed, I needed to use my pack to gain the height I needed to make a shot. I carry the Eberlestock Mainframe with Weapons Scabbard because it’s light and offers quick deployment of my rifle. Full post is on the Midsouth Predator Solutions in...

How To Practice Off A Tripod
Просмотров 2768 месяцев назад
The more you can practice off your equipment, the better you will be. Guns that shoot well in the prone, under great conditions, may not shoot the same at night in hunting situations. Tolerances start to add up and your capabilities may not be as good as you think. So you need to shoot your weapon in hunting scenarios to fully understand what you can do with it.

Going over some things to consider when choosing a cartridge for coyotes hunting. There are plenty of different options available and many, in not all, will work. I found this left handed R700 in 223 years ago for sale online. I had a 18” Proof Research barrel put on to shoot heavier bullets. This is the most accurate rifle I own.

I haven’t tried the 53s. Only the 52gr. I’m not too worried about pelt damage where I am, the coyotes don’t bring much. I use a DRT approach.

With the 6 arc have you tried 58 gr Vmax? I’ve found them to be hammers and laser beams. Ran 223 53-60 gr Vmax didn’t have many runners. I prefer high shoulder shots. Great info great video

I have a lot of data for a 16” AR. I’ve used a lot of 60gr vmax. The results were very good but I would get more runners than I liked for night hunting.

Subd! Well thought out & presented! I've only been night hunting for about 3 yrs & you nailed all the important factors i had to learn the hard way- lol. I've been using the wildcat, 277 wolverine with 90gr tnt at 2700fps from a 16" to great effect. Point blank zero & knowing your distance limits were spot on! Happy hunting & keep up the good work neighbor! - RED.

There are many good options out there. The shooting sports have grown quickly. Just trying to show some options and give people an idea of what features they may want or not. I really enjoy a large ball head but they tend to bigger, bulkier and more prone to dirt or even freezing in freezing rain in the winter. So just getting equipment that works for you
