i'm rewatching this now that the game has been out for a while and it's INSANE how many things you got right in your predictions. your incredible knowledge of BOTW and ability to recognize regions from a few pixels in the background, mixed with your sharp deductive skills, made you spot on for like 99% of the analysis.

the build idea is a good one! if light blessings let you boost sword proficiency or claymore proficiency in exchange for hearts / stamina would be a good risk reward system!

First village I found was kakariko so it will probably always be the most memorable for me. I also like having a great ferry fountain right next to the village shrine which makes visiting both after a fast travel very easy. There just isn’t much to get there. I also like its location relative to the entire map, I find myself randomly running through kakariko more than any other village. Zoras may be the most visually appealing but I got stuck on a couple things there which soured me on it a little. Totally agree about the beach town. It feels somewhere between a town and a horse stable. But all the towns have some cool visuals.

Interesting to watch this video approaching 2 months after the release! You made some good guesses! I watched all of the first gameplay videos you released, so many hours, because it was just as much fun watching you discover this new game as it was doing it myself. I am already nostalgic for those magical first times exploring the game even though I haven’t had time yet to do it all so I still have a few firsts to enjoy.

A shrine

Crafting is very important for any build that isn't a mage in Elden Ring, both PvE and PvP. You're really missing out by not engaging with it. Even just something like throwing knifes to stop stagger regen for melee build and force the AI to be agressive. I honestly thing botw benefit from not having a crafting system so the game doesn't have to be balanced around it.

I also think shrine chests should be required as well, its kind of bizarre it isn't. Though I do think the permanent armor upgrades is fine, it's permanent progress, I think as long as its just those 5 it's not a big deal. I would be ok with acquiring all the armors as well, since you can get all of the base game and DLC armors, we don't count amiibo stuff anyway, and it's also permanent progress since you need to have gotten them once to be able to buy duplicates anyway.

I think you should have included the super rare and unique one of a kind Koroks anyway. It doesn't matter if it's one of a kind, if the smuggled Bow of Light, Biggoron Sword just for durability swapping, or Radiant Shield with Hylian Shield durability can get S ranks in the other tier lists I don't think it's that big of a stretch to include niche ones here.

and they fucked up again. I know that in old zelda 20+ years ago you couldn't save after the last boss, i hated it back then i fucking despise it now. After 120+ hours of totk it was literally all for nothing, again. It's so disappointing. They should have looked at Red Dead 2 and it's post game. Masterclass in game design. Not letting me save after the boss and experience the world cleansed of gloom and Ganondorf is just cheap and worsens the entire game.

Elden Ring needs to learn from Zelda, learn your place

I’d love to watch your playthrough, but I also want to play through myself, and don’t want spoilers, story or gameplay. I’m torn. Honestly this game trancesds words. There are not enough words in any language to describe this legend of a game.

I bought both. I got the physical for 59.99 and the digital for $45. Ive been switching to digital for faster load times and not having to lug around cartridges. But for games i love i buy both in case i wanna play 15 years from now im sure ill find a way to get the patches
