Something I really like is how they recontextualized Dutch's speech here. Before RDR2 released you'd probably think he's just spouting random nonsense like "we can't fight gravity" to stall for time before inevitably deciding to jump off the cliff going out by his own terms, but then you play RDR2 and you then see a man ridden by guilt of letting the closest thing to a son to him (Arthur) die and decides to take his life knowing the only one to blame was himself. Despite everything he's done you can't help but feel bad for him.

Dutch is by far the most complex video game character, he is so well written. I really like him and I dont think he is just a simple murdered he is much more than that and I dont think he only gone insane cus of hosea or arthur. He is a human after all, maybe he just wanted something different.

nah bro this is too much for me to handle. i thought that rdr2 and rdr1 are completly different games but then i found out after finishing the game especially after the last sence in rdr2 where dutch kills micah i saw this game in gaming yt channel and i saw him killing bears.ialso wanted to kill bears. but i was forced to play this masterpeice there is no game which can come as close as rdr2 level

I believe that after Dutch had said these exact things before during the events of RDR2 (both at camp and during the mission where you have to jump off a cliff to escape the law) he finally believed everything he said, everything was clear to him at that moment.
