My favorite things are the great outdoors and any related gear. Naturally, I spend my free time camping, hiking, and off-roading. Some, if not most, would call me OCD, but I pride myself in staying organized, efficient, self reliant, and practical. Combine these things with a light hearted spirit and an easy going mentality, you get me, Micah. I've spent most of my life in Tucson, Arizona and consider myself a desert dweller, but it's not rare to find me in the pines when I get the chance. I started this channel to share my passions with others and hopefully learn a thing or two in the process. Most of my videos will encompass these passions and I look forward to seeing how the channel evolves along the way.
Camp Coffee - My Favorite Ways to Make Coffee in the Woods
In this video, I go over my favorite and most used ways of making coffee when camping, hiking, backing, or sometimes just on the road.

Tampons seem on the surface as a good wound packer, but their absorbancy is horrible, they clog out waaaaaaay faster than you think, NAR compressed gauze is like 6 dollars, just get 2 of those
Ooh nice need to upgrade what i have now
I hope you can leave me your email address.
What about switching the powerbank on the side pocket with the tourniquet? So you have quicker access and it's still not mounted on the outside?!
@@stefan6316 Nice idea, but that pocket is too thin to fit the tourniquet
The insistence of the yanks to carry guns and ammunition is av turn off

Solid one.
Aeropress Go for the win
The new Aeropress go plus is my favorite!
the best way to make coffee while camping in my opinion is with a moka pot, they’re pretty cheap, vary in size, make coffee similarly as strong as espresso and you don’t need to boil water separately, because they vary in size and they’re compact it’s perfect for backpacking or even when you are making coffee for multiple people, the only drawback i could possibly imagine is cleaning but you can also just get around that by using a wet wipe and a little water once it’s cooled off
I'll have to check one out
Yum!
Your tourniquet should be on the outside. Easy access. That's it.

very well done.
Super clean truck bud I love it, well done
Very well done video! I have been looking for something larger than my Mobius and think this may be the answer.
Really enjoyed this video. Nice setup.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Now I’m second guessing my BOB. That Vanquest bag has ALL the pockets! Lol I wish it had a little less male warrior style, though, so maybe I’m OK with my bag. Those pockets, though… 😂
Really enjoyed your video. Wish you would post more. I like how the equipment you use is every day essentials not a bug out bag. That's important too but nice to see a more commonly used setup! Job well done!
I recently got married, moved to a new house with a lot of work needed so I have not had time to do any videos, but I'm all caught up now and plan to start uploading more videos regularly! Thanks for the support and stay tuned.
Question: Why not just use a funnel instead of these nozzles or drilling a hole with another fancy nozzle? To me it seems that the Rotopax is a mod for my vehicle, now do i need to modify the mod? the $ is too much to justify something which will require further engineering to be useful/quicker. Any possible concerns with a funnel that I am missing?
Great question. While you could use a funnel, that will have zero impact on how well the fuel flows out of the rotopax. All a funnel would do is essentially enlarge the hole on your gas tank. You would still have to dink around with the nozzle that comes with the rotopax and I'm not sure you could even get the nozzle to work with a funnel. The nozzles work by pressing them down into the gas tank and doubt you could do that with a funnel in the way. Additionally, a funnel means you now have to carry around a funnel separately from the rotopax. Then you have to clean the funnel unless you want your truck bed smelling like fuel. I agree that these mods are expensive and mention that in the video, but it's the best solution I've come up with and what I'll be using until rotopax comes with a better design.
Also think about trying to quickly pour fuel into a gas tank with a funnel out of a milk jug except the jug is 3 gallons. That's essentially what you would be doing in the scenario you described.
Pretty sick bag set up!!!
Much appreciated! Been a long time Vanquest fan. Still have my OG Vanquest Trident-20 and never looked back. Keep up the great work over there and hope to review more of your products.
From another gear geek. Very clean set up bud. Dig it.
Awesome video, you need an affiliated Amazon link!
Links are in the description, but still trying to figure out how to make a whole storefront. Thanks for watching!
Hey brother, this is a third video of yours I’ve watched keep up the good work, really nice EDC and truck load out if you haven’t already look up Last line of Defense he’s got amazing videos and even a Tacoma setup I think you’d benefit from!
Thanks brotha. I give LLOD a shout out in my tent video!
Nice system you got going! I like the shelf system, seems very practical and convenient!
very nice bag and loadout....great video
Not hating or anything but prep medic has a video covering tampons as possible first aid and unfortunately they do not have enough of seal to effectively cover the wound to induce a blood clot.
Agreed
Es increíble todo lo que tenes ahi , es la 4ª vez q miro el video , para los obsesivos de la organización y amantes del EDC es la meca !!! Te felicito !!!!
Rifles go under seat.
I want to copy this entire system. It is perfect! I saw your update short where you changed out the pouches for an even better option. Chef's kiss!
Thanks for the square divider idea. I think I'll get some at Ikea. I'm currently using one of those Costco/home depot bins with the yellow too but I do like how the Plano sportsman bin is more narrow.
My man, raptor liner looks mint! I have the same RTT and I am looking to do the same thing. Did you take the bottom edge “weather stripping” off or did you just mask it? For sanding, did you use anything special? Thanks!
Thanks man. It's all about the prep work and it'll turn out great. Here are the basic steps I did. 1. Thoroughly clean the whole shell with soap and water. 2. Fully dry 3. Sand all shiny black with 150 grit (I sanded it all by hand in fear of burning the plastic using a power sander) 4. Rinse again to remove dust 5. Wipe down with a mild degreaser (I use a diluted ratio of Malco Red Thunder which I use for everything👌🏾) 6. Fully dry 7. Tape off all parts you don't want painted( I taped off everything that was not black gloss i.e. trim, logo plate, buckles, screws) 8. Apply raptor liner at 40 psi (test on a piece of cardboard to dial in desired texture) i.e changing psi and spray distance 9. Minimum of 4 coats letting dry for 1 hour between coats 10. Remove tape 30-60 minutes after final coat. 11. Allow to fully dry for 24+ hours Many ways to probably do it but this is how I did it and it turned out looking like it was done professionally.
@@SixEightOutdoors really appreciate the thorough and helpful response bro! 🤘🏼

What is the backpack Model?
Vanquest Trident 21. There's a full video of the backpack on my channel.
Been building my edc bag as well, we almost have the same edc, the only missing ones are the “hygiene” stuff like the tissues, wipes, towel, perfume as well and etc… but too each their own. I really enjoyed this!
I Love Mag products 👌👌

I used to carry pills as well outside of their container. After 2 weeks some of them went from white to brown, i can imagine some pills will change over time without any visual changes...
The reviews say that the prongs on the valve leak but can be replaced with better ones. Yes, one review talked about the cap prong falling out.
I used to use that same bin, now I use 2 of their smaller bins instead because for one I carry less gear now but also the big one will not go in what passes as the trunk of my new Subaru BRZ. Two smaller bins also makes for lighter, easier to carry loads.
Watched part 1. What’s her name? Didn’t hear a name other than truck.
Much respect to you. On many levels. Great information and delivery. Definitely learned something’s from you. I will be grabbing one of these packs soon. Stay blessed

🎉 Very well organized! Question... isnt that bag too tactical? With the mollie and patches etc? No water bottle pockets on the side is a neg for me.
Nice bag. Mine is a little different but no bag should be alike. It should be tailored to the individual. My suggestions: 1.) caffeine pills. Absolutely no reason not to have these in your pack. Lightweight, durable and can be eaten on the fly. And is without a doubt the most overlooked item in most bags/bag videos. 2.) a durable pry bar that would fit in the pack. Makes an improvised weapon and can use to open vending machines if the power is out. Can also use to gain entry to buildings to help keep you out of sight if necessary. I carry one mainly because I am mostly urban environment and most spigots you will see at building have some sort lock/cage so my silcock will do nothing for me, but with a pry bar . . . access granted 😂 3.) a poncho (self explanatory) 4.) a compact pair of binoculars. Knowing what’s ahead can save your life. There are a few more but these are the first things I would add (except some additional items to protect me from weather). Love your food bag. I am of the same opinion that food should be ready to eat with no prep. Fires should be avoided unless completely necessary. And food prep is not a necessity, in my book it’s just poor planning.
We carry the DeWalt chainsaw daily due to our location where we live and it is sweet!
Great review. Thank you.
Great video. Have you considered carry a fire extinguisher?
Under the seat has room for both battery operated hazard lights (round discs that have a magnetic plate), regular flares, a power pack for jumping batteries.
The wool blanket is good if you are first on the scene of a vehicular accident to put under a victim. Also a small tarp. I have used a huge golf umbrella to shade or keep off the rain and snow over a victim.
Love how you installed your short wave radio. And tge pristine condition of your rig.
