Merry Christmas ❤ 🎁 🎄
❤❤❤❤
Your advice to break down large tasks into smaller pieces is a good reminder. When I'm overwhelmed at gatherings, I find a seat away from the small chat to watch and listen to others seemingly enjoying themselves. When overwhelmed in public, I disassociate (becoming invisible).
🤩🤩
😍😍😍😍😘😘

This was so reassuring and made me feel better about some things that are stressing me out right now, it’s nice to hear someone talk through practical steps forward when I feel overwhelmed. Thank you! :)
I'm so glad this could help. I hope that things become a little less stressful for you in the future. I have some other videos on grounding techniques and anxiety techniques. Please check them out and let me know if they help as well.
Guten Morgen schöne frau
❤merry Christmas in advance dear
Thank you, Merry Early Christmas to you as well :)
Thank you ❤
Thanks for watching
General rule: If someone has a foreign accent, DON'T SHOUT AT THEM and/or speeeeeaaakk annoooyyyinnglyyy slooooowwwlyy.
While my point about this was geared more towards blindness and the fact people will speak louder and slower to me, this is often true for someone who does not speak a certain language. Its as if speaking louder makes it more clear haha.
People still act strangely around people who have visible disabilities. You've probably gotten weird questions such as, "Oh my gawd. You're blind! Can y'all use the bathroom by yourself?" Or, "Can you hear in color?" All asked in a LOUD voice.

This is a very helpful reminder that I need to give myself a break, even if I feel I have to do my homework all night. Thanks for this.
Its always a good idea to take breaks, even wven when we feel like a project needs to get done. Breaks help our mind to refresh and come back to a problem with a new way of thinking.
@ indeed so!

Back in 1999, I was sitting in the ferry line up with two screaming kids creating havoc in the back seat. I was getting quite stressed out. Out of the blue, there was a knock on my windows. It was my down the street neighbour's. She had brought me a coffee because she knew I was having a rough day. 25 years later I still think of her and remember her random act of kindness.
Such a good memory. And I have NO idea who those kids were, but that must have been frustrating :p
Thank you for the book suggestions! Pride and Prejudice is on my list of favorites too. Shantaram was the first audio book i read on Audible and I’ve listened to it more than once. People seem to love it or hate it. I also listen to books on the Libby app. Am loving your videos!
I'll have to check it out. I'm usually a big fan of those love/hate books :) Thank so much for the support, I'm glad you are enjoying the content. I've never heard of Libby, but maybe I'll have to check that out too
Please help this lady she deserves all the attention on the world because she is brave to show up …and to share her ideas
Thank you for the support
thank you, friend!

I enjoy a nice cup of tea. Sometimes with a dash of milk😊
That sounds like a good way to enjoy the small moments
Any accessibility features on RUclips that most people don't know about?
I'm sure there are, but I mostly use my screen reader on my computer or on my phone. I'd love to know if others know of any adaptive software on RUclips.
Thank you for the self-care reminder. And the reminder that it doesn't have to be anything BIG! Or expensive!! And that you/I do indeed DESERVE that time!!! So, how do you take your coffee? Coffee: Generally iced with cream. -Okay, I like mocha too, both iced and hot. Hot Cocoa: Just milk or cream with carob or cocoa. Most common for me: Tea. Good ol' black tea. Extra strong. Extra hot. Cream.
Thank you so much for your comment. When it comes to my coffee, I like to make a homemade mocha or use some french vanilla cream.
I will find something to smile for today!

Waking up and realizing I am alive and I get another day.

I know that feeling. Having a companion animal in your life can mean the world of difference. Mine is Luna, and she helped me get through some really hard times. Thank you for sharing.

Yes we are! P.S. I really like the necklace you're wearing in this video! The long (about 4 cm) cylindrical one.
When I was ...a bit younger...-Closer to 40-ish, I was at a fast food restaurant and wanted a fizzy drink, but wasn't quite sure how the new-fangled machines work. (With the touch screen, and the combinations of craziness you can create electronically, rather than the olde timey way of pressing your cup to the lever behind the spout and shifting your cup down the row to combine your flavours. But, I was too afraid to ask. So I pretended to be figuring out what I wanted while I watched a 6 y/o girl confidently go up to the machine, make her selections, then happily trot to the table to rejoin her family. Part of the reason I was so hesitant to ask was that all my younger life, when I asked questions, especially from my parents, I was ridiculed and shamed for my lack of knowledge, for not knowing what they knew. And they imposed their wills on me constantly from what I wore to what I wanted to order from the deli on the way home from church! They made me feel completely incompetent! And here I was 40 something, thinking, "This 6 year old child has more confidence in her little pinky, than I do in my entire 40-something body! And that was the last time I was ever afraid to ask how something worked, or how to use a bit of new technology! (Thank you, kiddo, wherever you are!) -- And thank your parents for letting you choose what mix to make, even if orange-blue raspberry root beer didn't sound like the best idea.-
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It sounds like learned behaviour from when you were young had an impact on not wanting to ask later on in life. It sounds like the little girl inspired you to retrain your brain to gain the confidence you needed to ask for assistance. Asking for help isn't ever easy, admitting that we don't know something is difficult. I'm glad you were able to overcome this. Thank you again for your story.
@@EmpathicSight You are exactly right about the learned behaviour. I was constantly put down, made to feel stupid. Inadequate. When I was young, I wanted to be a nurse. But my parents were anything but encouraging. Finally, I decided for myself: It was something I knew I had to do. And I knew that if I didn't at least try, I would never become a nurse. My parents did not come to my graduation, and I have been a nurse 10 years now!
@@TDS.Harper Its good you followed your passion, despite their lack of support. I'm sorry that wsa your experience. And good on you for becoming a nurse. Sometimes we have to believe in ourselves more than others do. its a sad truth, but it does happen.
Thank you so much for this! -You helped me out of a difficult day today. My self care step for the day: Watching this video!
I'm glad this video helped you today. Even if it was a small bit of self care, every bit helps. I have other videos that are similar to this if you want to check them out as well. Thanks again :)
God bless you
thank you
Than you for your courage
Thanks :). Its more that I do what I need to do in order to get by in this world. I learn to adapt, just as others learn to adapt to the struggles they are going through. We all have our struggles, mine are just more visible.
You are an inspiration to everyone who knits or who would like to learn!😊
Thank you so much. I have been doing it for over 30 years, but i still find it relaxing and productive.
