The MGB comes with a standard copper head gasket that tended to leak coolant on the right side of the engine. The Payen AK660 become the go-to replacement, which is the same as the Fel Pro 21183C gasket. Recently, anyone purchasing one of these gaskets has found that they have changed and are NOT as good! MGB quarter light side vent window hinge needed replacement because of a previous hack job fix. Porsche 914 found in the junkyard. It has a build date of 10/72, so I'm not sure if is a '72 or '73 model. The engine is gone and its not the more desirable 914/6 anyway.

Compression check on all 4 cylinders on a '77 MGB. Applies to pretty much all old engines. Mine came out to be in decent spec, but #2 is about 7.5% lower than the highest. In car driving video at end!
