@frugaldiy1 when the centrifugal switch is taken off of the motor. 1-6, 3-5, 5-6 all switch ok. All three are the opposite nc/no when switch is installed. Except 3-5 is always closed. Installed or not and does not open when the sliding ring on the mower is pushed over. Any ideas? Would this cause a no heat issue. All the other safety switches seem to be good.
@@golfish8589 Damn, that is hard to say. Do you have a schematic?
New testing .... Contacts 2-1 n/o when motor off. Closed when running Contacts 3-5 ......... When not running 1.6 ohms. When running 6.5 ohms Must be grateful and running widings Contacts 5-6 .......... n/o , motor off. Closes when running So I think it is working correctly. Now back to the wiring diagram. I am starting to make more sense of it
@ some of those schematics can be a pain. If it helps, try to draw out on paper, the particular circuit you are working on, that way it’s easier to read!
I am going crazy. I have the dryer mostly apart. The motor ran before I took the dryer apart. I can still get the motor to spin if I lift up on the belt tensioner. It runs but no heat. So I assume the door switch is working. At least until I broke it trying to unplug it. The crazy part is. I can't get a 120v reading anywhere to ground or anywhere else. All four safety switches are closed. I don't know how to yet check the thermistor. The coil style ignitor does not glow. 290 ohms which I believe is normal. There are two green ground wires coming from the circuit board area that are grounded to the body. So the body is grounded. But if I go from anyone of the three leads on the door switch to ground. I get nothing. Sometimes strange readings but no 120v
It just started working for some reason.... The burner shuts down after a few seconds. I guess it is because the blower isn't pulling any air through it
I want one 😫

@@HackMasterBlaster So far she is holding on! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video! It is very refreshing to watch one where the maker is not showing himself off...or trying to. You got right to the details and laid it out simply. Well done and thank you. I took my dryer apart using your steps and I found a huge ball of lint constricting the hot air delivery tube. I found it because you showed me how to disassemble the heating unit to test the thermostats. The dryer puts out lots of heat now! Thanks again.

@@JuanRamos-m1c Thanks for watching!
Please add the Interlock bracket to protect your family and make it legal. I realize you personally know how to handle the breakers, but if you are not home, and the dryer stops working, someone in your family may go to the breakers and turn on all the breakers that are off, including the generator breaker. You would not even know they did it. Then someone in the future may open the generator inlet lid and touch one of the exposed prongs. That would be very bad. Please make it safe.
@@johnsteed9973 As soon as I can, I’m gonna post a video of my Interlock. How I made it, how it works etc. You are very correct on the danger without an interlock. Thanks for watching and be on the lookout for my video!

I was doing roller followers about an hour ago. And i wasn't sure if i had messed up. I have the timing set and following Brian from FTML channel and hvae to front cobver one the engine already. with crank pulley installed along with a new belt as he did in the video. At the end he says to instally the roller follwers and mine are as yours. some i can do and some I cant without rotating the engine. I guess I should remove the belt before rotating the engine. I take it doing whith the crank pulley installed is ok? Sorry, this is my first timing job. Thank you for this video.💯
@@rasgum7 Sorry for the late reply. Hopefully you have already completed the job. Yes, you can rotate with the pulley on and belt off to be easier. I did all the followers I could then rotate the engine. Do those followers and if you have to rotate the engine again. Good luck and hope you get ‘er running again!
@ thank you for the reply, Yep it’s 0445am here in Ga and just got her finished, worked out fine. Now just to get everything connected back up . Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we should be cranking her up tomorrow evening. Thank you again for the videos, they’re a great help.
