1:07:12 Satya was about to talk about tensions between OpenAI and Microsoft, which I think a lot of people are interested in and you may have gotten some nuggets there, but Bill cut him off.
Hey garbage microsoft, stop ruining our computers with onedrive and stealing our data.
Micrsoft needs to pursue autonomous robots. Stop trying to beat Google on traditional search which already exists. Instead beat Tesla on Optimus which doesn’t exist yet
I just realized when they brought up Bill Gates that his initials are also BG. If they get him on the pod, it will be the first BG3 episode
What did the host say on 34:34
i love the way he is so willing to talk about the head on competition
Need Zuck on the pod now! Bring out the llama man!
I’d call Cursor a hit app. Especially among developers.
Bill Gurley is like the wise grandpa I wish I had.
Great episode but Jensen is 100x more interesting than him. Same for the company IMO
Don't be a know it all, be a learn it all. Wow. Profound. I usually don't like pithy sayings. But that's a good one
Skipped right over Tiger project to the Internet, but what a great journey.
West gave genocide, colonization, plague, Holocaust, mass starvation. East, mainly India, gave compassion, wisdom, Yoga, Buddhism, number system, Sanskrit, Kama Sutra, joy and happiness. Your thoughts, please.
Fantastic interview! Who’s next? Elon?
The answer to the first question alone is incredible. Has to be one of Satya's best interviews

“Best CEO hire ever” - BG
Hard to believe how many commenters are pandering to this person. Nadella has been the worst CEO for Microsoft as far as the user is concerned which, for me at least, is their customer. He's only made changes based on what others are doing and his share holders. Wow... so predictable, unoriginal and uninspired. They've turned their user base in to free testers and removed choice from their OS while adding Advertisting and more clicks to do everything. This follows the trends of other non-user-centric software companies so by that metric he's doing great. Copying others and not striking out on his own coarse and setting an example of excellence for others to follow. He's just a "number go up" type of person. Great for shareholders, bad for consumers.
Who’s next Elon
Sathya comes off as a deeply thoughtful and analytical CEO. He’s not flamboyant like many of his peers but then his public persona is not dull, like a Pitchai. He’s exactly what every board out there is looking for, for a CEO candidate, who could reinvent and reinvigorate a legacy company - I’m thinking about the likes of Intel and perhaps even IBM. Oracle has Larry, but he’s pushing 80 years!
Wow great episode!!
MSFT is cooked - 1) OpenAi is going to get disrupted by XAI and other model players, 2) PLTR will be the operating layer for production grade AI / agents - making MSFT suite irrelevant, 3) They will be late to adopt BTC showing that lack vision and can't see the obvious paradigm shift. What is really going to hold up the company is Azure - however they will need to scale GPUs which Elon is the only one who currently do this.
Crisp take
Outstanding
...SIR please take some... my one is there... he is made for that....❤❤🕊🕊👏👏🪻🌐🌐🪱🪱🕊🕊...
His vision for the company is crystal clear, makes me want to buy some more MS stock.
Every time I've seen satya talk it's been predictable CEO speak. Of course he needs to maintain this guise understandably, but this was certainly a welcome "peak behind the curtains" on an big tech CEO
Love it how at 47:00 there is an editing cut just as Satya was about to reply to what he feels about Benioff badmouthing Microsoft. 😂. The response was so strong that Microsoft PR had to ask for a cut 😅
Neat observation
Epic guys, well done! 🎉
I ❤ satya Nadella
I love Microsoft ❤😂
How does this pod only have 40k subscribers
Satya is so incredibly sharp. Not as public as a lot of other CEOs but incredibly refreshing to hear him talk more informally about the way he thinks the future will unfold. Excellent interview.
Drive actual usability instead of profits. Profits will come with better ui
This guy does not care if teams or outlook works for you. He cares more about the bottom line on the project. Microsoft products are suffering because they focus on b2b instead of the user.
"I don't think I care about people who i I ahh, umm, care about the people who use my products. I uhh umm more care ahh more about uhh businesses that ahh buy my product uhh yes.
This is so good its worth saving.
The best non-founding CEO in tech history. No one else comes close.
Interesting take. I think I agree...But what about Sundar Pichai? Or Eric Schmidt who scaled Google to infinity from basically a college dorm room startup.
Tim Cook has taken Apple from 200B to 3.75T. Neither CEO really oversaw the creation of anything astoundingly new they just monetized the existing products very well.
@@user-ow1bn6qv8q Well, that's not really fair to give Tim cook that credit..All of apples growth was primarily from Steve's work and it went from like 300b to 600b+ a month or two after he died and continued on that trajectory. But Eric Schmidt really was responsible for building googles advertising empire, which is where it's money even comes from, so I think he is actually responsible for a lot of googles present day success, because the advertising largely funds everything else.
This chat is an example of the amazing value being added to anyone with a viewing device. This access we gain to the people leading many industries is incredible. And the ideas we receive on our own investment journey. We get to learn what's driving these companies. Watching these is due diligence to any serious investor in these companies. Over the air BnB haha. Thanks guys!!!
Incredible episode. This pod is my fav along w All In
27;50 He resists saying Grok has a shot even though X-AI is slated to be ahead within 6 months
These guys seem to be missing that Tesla will have have a chat gpt moment in terms of stock appreciation due to an AI lead in full self driving and optimous, vastly more profitable than current AI companies.
If Christopher Walken was born and raised in Hyderabad, India he’d sound like this
Ask Satya about how Cortana is doing. The dog poo AI can't even put your computer to sleep or close an app. Easy to act smart using 100% OpenAI's tech which isn't even Microsofts.
He’s objectively one of the best CEO’s of all time but Microsoft is such a hard company for me to be exited about when it comes to the product side. I like being all-in on Tesla myself because I’m so exited about the product roadmap and I just can’t get there with Microsoft
What kind of camera setup does Satya have? I mean it’s like a studio
I think xai is going to reach parity and ecllipse openai soon enough. They have the compute, data and distribution
Yeah I agree. Sam has really pissed off Elon and he’s obviously not a very trustworthy person. He’s gonna reap the whirlwind not just because Elon has a personal bone to pick but because he really regards a truth seeking AI to be the best chance for humanity and that only matters if that truth seeking AI is the most powerful in the world. OpenAI is building almost the opposite of that under the leadership of a dishonest, opportunistic narcissist in Altman, this is not going to end well for them.
I recall in 2014 telling my work colleagues in Eden Prairie,Minnesota that Satya graduated from the same college in Engineering(i.e MIT Manipal) as me ... i just wish i had bought MSFT stock at that time...i guess $10k invested in $MSFT at that point would be $100k today as of Dec 2024
Understandable. Great personal detail
Please get Marc Benoif (Salesforce) on your podcast !!!! AgentForce is awesome but we need a deep dive on it
Awesome interview!!!! Satya is very articulate and has a deep understanding…Engineer CEO. Brad and Bill Did a great job !!!
All in messed up .. when they got in politics... Its like watching cnn.. fox all over again
