Wow I love old stuff like this! Bit like watching a Jack Hargreaves film! :) I have lovely memories of the Broads - Wroxham, up to Potter Heigham through that bridge with a pilot!) then beyond. Then down to Breydon Water (some stuck fools!) and down beyond. I also loved The Fens from Cambridge to Bedford.

The processes don't change and the skills move in from generation to generation of staff. Wonderful to see Graham's calm leadership again. I well remember him persuading this offshore sailor that an engine was not required. We've been "Friends" for years now and both our children learnt their sailing skills in these beautiful vessels.

Great to see the traditional methods in use with these wonderful boats.

the comments are off on the 1930s launch so I'll comment here instead, i have never seen caulking done with sawdust in the water after launch, learn something new every day, or waste that day,

Graham demonstrates how to take out all of the stress involved with handling a large heavy gaff boat in very confined waters. You simply have to do everything properly and then calm will prevail.

It is over 40 years since I last hired a gaff sailing boat on the Broads. I am now booked in for a 3 berth Hunters Yard boat in a months time and I admit to being quite excited!

We had a lovely sail boat from Hunters, just for the day, such a great experience, reminded me of sailing on the broads with my dear Dad.

Way back in the mid 1960s, my parents took me on a three holidays on Hunter's boats. Wood Rose, for two years running and Luster on the third. It's amazing that these classic boats are still in use. Wonderful! They were such memorable holidays and I still tell stories of those days now I am in my 60s.

Hello Steve, thank you for your comment and question. Unfortunately we don't have any plans that we can make available for home boat builders, sorry about that. Why not come and 'have a go' and then you can see the interiors for yourself? ;-)

I would love to see the cabin interiors they look like great boats! Are there any plans available for at home boat builders?
