I read a few years ago that in South Korea the government has been taking some interest in radical life extension because it might be less expensive and more effective than encouraging people to have more babies. The so-called demographic nightmare that is being spoken of in the developed world and even to some extent that developing world would very well be solved by essentially extending healthy life expectancy into the indefinite future for it is much easier and much less expensive probably over the long run as a technology gets better to extend healthy lifespans than to be creating more new lives but then need to be invested in for decades before they are productive. Also extremely low birth rates would still mean that there be some population growth which within reason is supposed to be good for the economy and would be good for colonizing space in the not too distant future as well, but it also be great that women would not have to worry about being incubators for humanity at least not any more than maybe having one child every couple of centuries or something that extent. The amount of time and money people spend on raising even two children the number of children that you need to replace yourself with, is in reality probably more expensive then radical life extension and radical life extension of course would be an investment that continues to give returns over centuries and while it's simultaneously the technology will become less and less expensive with better and better returns.

Why are anti-aging, life extension videos and TV programs always presented by youngish people, never by supercentenarians? A young, athletic supercentenarian would be an inspiration to people wanting to live longer, healthier and more active lives, and they would take his advice more seriously than they would advice from a teenager.

@@jimj2683 I cant tell people how to stop aging or how to reverse aging, but I can tell them how to age more slowly and stand a good chance of becoming a centenarian. It all boils down to healthy lifestyle, good diet and plenty of exercise, but good genes are important too and I cant help with those. For best results you need to start when you are in your 20s or 30s and keep it up for the rest of your life. I'm 85, unvaxed, and regularly visit pubs which I know to be infected. I drink a pint or two of porter once a week, no more, and also go for a 4-mile run once a week. Needless to say, I dont smoke.

Aubrey is right, life is short and miserable once aging begins. We die very fast in these bodies. Most die in their sixth decade. Now if you're in your fourth, that's a pretty scary realization. Now with Covid, and the depopulation agenda, our lives will just become that much shorter. They don't want humans living forever. Their trying to depopulate millions now. One with Covid, and now with the Vaccine. People like Aubrey, and David are the last ones these elites want. Of course the elitists think their living forever, and are killing the small ones off. People like Elon Musk who think he will be inhabiting other planets. If you aren't a billionaire, you have no shot at anything that comes to fruition.

Mindfulness is especially relatable if one does art or craftsmanship - you can't build upon your previous discoveries, if they weren't mindful... We need more healthy thinkers like you guys, thanks for your work!

my step father is a doctor and he says ending aging is doable but he says that everyone has a internal clock and no matter how many body parts your replace the clock doesn't change even when changing cells, his quote he uses all the time is "carbon to carbon ash to ash you cant change the laws of the universe or the laws of biology if we could then the stars wouldn't die we would just rejuvenate them and same goes for the galaxy and universe." is this true at all? and could you ask aubrey or someone else in this field next time you have them on your channel?

Too many people have extremely irrational ideas about this process and it sounds like this doctor is one of them it's almost like biological mysticism like the inability to separate science from superstition with regard to aging. For one thing it sounds like a misinterpretation of the second law of thermodynamics because on Earth we get energy input from the Sun and that's going to be good for well over a billion years and with regard to regenerating stars that has nothing to do with this process because stars are burning hydrogen and turning it into helium and other elements and there's a finite amount that's actually within a star however if you could actually be punish the hydrogen in the star well then you could get it started live a lot longer and you could also be harvesting the heavier elements of the star so then it will not get too heavy and collapsing a black hole so then using that technology you can make a star lift almost forever and for one thing and red dwarfs do actually live for a trillion years and that is pretty good if you ask me
