Riding a new Class 805 to Coventry and back to Birmingham New Street. First time on a class 805 and definitely will be out, riding more of the new trains in the future. As the train was in the station for half a hour before departure, I had a good explore of the interior.

Video of Blackpool trams and a few heritage trams. Filmed on the Saturday I went to see the Blackpool tram extension. Had to use music in parts of the video to block out the music being played from the piers and sea front. It was wonderful weather and will be returning to Blackpool in the future.

Filmed on the Cross City line around November 2023. Was trying to ride the Centro livery 323 before they headed to Northern rail. The Class 730's had not started in service at the time and the University station improvements had not been opened at the time of filming.
Visiting all stops on the Trafford Line Metrolink

Inspired by Jen on the move video visiting all the tram stops on the Trafford line Metrolink. This was filmed in early January 2023, as I visited the tram stops on the Trafford line and not Stafford as I nearly said through out the filming. Loved Wharf side stop and the view over to Media city. Hopefully will be returning to Manchester in the future videos.

Have you been on the two in Scarborough? They're well worth the trip
@johnUB4478 i have never been. However, I have some holiday time, so that would be an interesting day trip. Thanks for the recommendation 👍
@streetrambler134 definitely worth it. One goes higher than the other. Hope you enjoy 🙂
Excellent. Thank you.

Good to see you again Christine, keep em coming
Thanks, it was good to be out filming again on Saturday in Blackpool.
Filmed, while I waited for the train to Blackpool North. A great start to the day and loved the noise.
Keep the films coming please Rambler. How long before you will be able show us the awaited Camp Hill Line?
I'm planning to do a camp hill line video. Got 2 videos from going to Blackpool on Saturday to edit. Got 2 weeks off at the end of July. So it will be about then.
Was in Blackpool yesterday, filming the new tram extension. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
I went to the hippodrome in Dudley with my pregnant wife to see Roy Orbison. Fantastic.
We have just found you and like your stuff. Thank you 🙏
Would’ve been more interesting if you’d have moved a bit more. Same spot and mentioned the Gifford and beatties 3 or 4 times. Think you was on “ repeat “
To be fair, it was one of my first videos I did and not my best. My main aim was to record the street before it was pedestrianised. I did not have the go pro at that time, so the footage would had been very unstable with me walking and talking at the same time. But in my defence I do love the Giffard Arms.
@@streetrambler134 understand now. I’ve watched many of your videos and always found them extremely interesting. I haven’t lived there for almost 30 years and I’m very surprised that the Gifford is still there.
@@kiwiang983 Wendy has been running the pub for over 21 years now and is still a rock pub. Although I do miss the sticky carpet. John silver still DJ's there on occasion too.
I remember playing in these bunkers and other buildings in the late 80’s. I’m sure a paintball company took over the site north of the Pear and partridge and there were old war buildings there.
Have seen footage on You tube showing motorcycle racing on the airfield site and the old tower was used as a youth centre for a bit.
Have you done a walk down newhampton Rd. I used to go to school there when it was called the Municipal Grammar School
No, I have not. The Municipal Grammar School is now called the Newhampton Arts Centre and is a great place for theate and community events. Great building, and the main hall still has an old-school vibe. The classrooms have been converted into art studios and for community groups to meet.
@@streetrambler134 thank you for taking time to reply. Very interesting. I always remember the polish smell on the first day of term and the teachers in their caps and gown and the classroom bully’s and the sense of relief the day I left in the 70’s
Always good to see old buildings renovated & repurposed instead of being demolished . 👍😀
Indeed, they have done a good job
Yes i am much impressed with the restoration prodjects in Wolverhampton. Like the old low level railway station another Jem.
Will this go to the Merry Hill shopping centre? If so they should incorporate the old tram station that sits atop of the shopping centre - above Marks & Spencer’s. A station I remember disembarking from in the early 90’s.
The work in the video is phase one on the way to Brierley Hill and will stop at Flood Street Dudley. Phase 2 will be the part to Brierley Hill. Not sure if they have secured funding yet for phase 2. Sadly never got to see the mono rail as was not living in the midlands during the 90's.
Buses are not going down lower Bull Street, they are travelling up Lower Bull street from High Street to Corportion Street
Thanks.
I remember the pork sandwich shop on princess st, and the coffee bar on berry street in the 50s. We’re has the time gone lol.
Think I should do more regular videos like this as its become popular on the channel. Thanks for watching ;)
I can remember the tripe shop pretty close to the town all, on same side with a neon sign
it's a complet fuck up from start to finish
Only 10 months to edit this video ;), enjoy.
Was this a few weeks ago? as i live in Crewe.
Filmed them on the day I was heading to Liverpool. The first Class 730 is going to be running tomorrow.
Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe. Next weeks video is Visiting all the tram stops on the West Midlands Metro.
I love Wolves.
Thanks for watching 👍
Shame about your ankle, but glad you got to see some 507s and 508s. <Anita>
Was glad to see some 507s and 508s, loved the art work on platform 2 at James St too.

CAF Urbos 3 with bi-mode OHLE and battery electric propulsion.
Thanks, think they have just had the first test of the Coventry light rail tram on the loop now.
remember the golden egg, snow hill fish and chips and the ocean chip shop?
The Ocean chip shop is still open, sadly the chip shop in salop st has closed.
Yes, the golden egg was opposite Beatties at the entrance to the mander centre
remember the hellenic cafe restaurant in victoria street mid 70s and 80s ?
Before my time, did not move to Wolverhampton until 1982 and a bit too young to remember.
Great video Christine
Thanks, was a great day in Liverpool. 😊
@@streetrambler134its in my part of Liverpool Kirkby. They knocked my old school (northern primary) down to build the new station
Nice video Christine, it was nice to meet you. A couple of dody appearences in there. <ANITA> XX
It was lovely to meet you both. I filmed a load of peps at Moorfield and James Steet. 👍
The rain is out of hand now so take advantage of any gaps in it ....if there are any!
Will do, thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed visiting Headbolt Lane. Filmed class 507's and 508's too so that next weeks video as not going to get the chance soon to return to Merseyrail again.
my family used to run a cafe restaurant back in the 70s and 80s at 31 victoria street .THE HELLENIC RESTAURANT.great times!!
absolutely amazing video 👍
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment 😀
It's quite sad how W,ton is now, it's literally like a ghost town. I saw a photo of Victoria street from the 1920s online: and the pavements either side of beatties were absolutely heaving with people. I can remember the area around salop street, and school street in the early 70s: back then you had the inside and outside markets down there, and both were packed with people on market days, there was a fish and chip shop in salop Street, and they appeared to do a roaring trade on market days. And that whole area: salop St, school street, and victoria St, was very busy then, as was the rest of the town back then. Its just not the same today sadly, and the hustle, bustle, and charm that W,ton once had has been lost. The fantastic shops that were around in the early 70s: replaced by umpteen mobile repair shops, nail bars, betting shops, vape shops etc....l,m sorry, but its just not the same for me.
Theres 3 proper shops, thats it. You forgot the endless eateries, theres 4 Greggs in town centre not one.
Anyone remember costa and casa coffee places at the city centre? Costa maybe still open
Costa shops in Wolverhampton have moved around a lot. The one in the Queens building did not last long. There is a new one now at the station.
@@streetrambler134 thanks for the information, i was a law student at the university from 1999 to 2002, many great memories from wolver!
Short video, as I want to keep to a regular weekly upload. The video I wanted to upload is not ready. Thanks for the support.
Nice to see the extension to Wolverhampton railway station now completed.
The Wolverhampton station extension is a great option to allow people to swap from train to tram.
Was great to see the extension open at last, Thanks for watching. 👍
Very nice to see the former railway line coming back to live and being reused again.
Indeed, hoping to do a future video looking at the progress between Wednesbury Great Western street and Dudley next. Thanks for watching.
Lower Bull Street: buses go up towards Perry Barr and Walsall (and buses passing Dale End, they have moved the hoardings of the demolished Kings Parade). Since your video, they have topped up Meriden Street and Digbeth and reopened it. Beyond Alcester Street is a wider pavement with plants going in. And yes New Canal Street from Eastside to Digbeth is now closed to the public.
Cheers for the information. Only just got back into doing regular videos and had a back log of stuff I had filmed. Figured more progress had happened since filming.
Great video :)
Thanks Jack. Had to do a quick edit on it.
Update video of the Eastside extension, thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe and thanks for watching.
LOPO LOUNGE was Top man /Top shop before that.
Can remember the Top man there. Thanks for watching.
In the old days in wolverhampton, people would get off a bus and use nearby businesses. Now, these businesses don,t have the same footfall into their shops etc. I,m not sure we need this much pedestrianisation in city centres: it rips the character out, and things are bland. I used to like hearing the squeal of lorry brakes etc, and the sound of traffic in the early 70s......today city centres seem lifeless and boring, and lack the hustle and bustle, and character of those times past.
Would recommend going to the Black Country museum, where they have a 50's street now. One of the reasons I started filming in Wolverhampton was because of the changes coming.
