Travel Bag for Women
In this video, Travel Bag for Women, I’ll discuss an excellent option for those looking for their next travel bag. I pack as light as I can, so the Osprey Porter 30L Travel Bag works great for my needs, but there are other sizes available through the Osprey brand if you need more space.
With tons of pockets to help organize everything, Osprey has you covered. The main pocket is great for clothing and bulkier items, with smaller pockets for organizing charging cables, books, pencils, and even small notebooks. There is also a hidden side pocket, great for your laptop and tablets.
The zippers are lockable, so if you feel that you need that extra bit of security, know that that is an option f...

Minimal EDC For Women

In this video, Minimal EDC For Women, I talk about the EDC items that I carry in my pocket. Unsurprisingly, with tiny pockets, I don't carry a lot of EDC gear. If I'm rushing out the door, I have the basics like my keys and my phone, but some of the other items mentioned in this video might surprise you... One of the highlighted items in this video is my Travelambo wallet. Bought in 2019, and f...
Woman's Multi-tool #swissarmyknife

What makes for a good woman’s multi-tool? This is a question that I, and thousands of others, have asked ourselves at least once in our lives…and I think have the answer. With the thousands of options, colors, tools, and brands out there on the market to choose from, how do we sift through them all to find one that actually works for female everyday needs? It felt wrong to address this question...

      @itiruysal - The Mini Champ is a popular model amongst many commenters. Rightfully so, it's a great model for those familiar with Swiss Army Knives, but I think the Midnite Manager is great for those who are just starting out. Is your Mini Champ the traditional red or is it the Alox version?

    Great review, thanks! That bag (30L) will be accepted in most Asian & Australian carriers (you mentioned only USA & Europe), IF it's within the weight limits of carryon luggage (esp on budget airlines). For most Asian & Australian budget carriers, the limit is 7 kg/ 15.4 lbs (sometimes it's 10 kg/ 22 lbs) so I don't know if all your stuff would pass as carryon in Asia - the laptop & tablet plus their chargers add weight. Did you get the final weight of your stuff? Also, what's the weight of the bag alone? That's one consideration for choosing a bag if one will travel in Europe & Asia. I know that at present, US & Canadian Airlines don't put weight restrictions on carryon luggage but I've heard that they're headed in that direction (whether it's 7 kg or 10 kg, I don't know). But I guess it's one way for airlines to charge more fees. <eyeroll> The Osprey 40L Fairview (for women), Farpoint for men is also a popular bag for carryon. In Asia, it's not so much as the size of the bag, it's the weight that they check. I think I like the Porter better since it has external pockets. In future reviews, if you want your vid to cater to a wider audience (not just N America), I suggest to tell the weight of the bag (empty & stuffed full), the dimensions of the bag - both in metric & imperial. Cheers & safe travels. 👍 Edit: my carryon backpack is 40L and I always keep the weight to < 7 kg whether it's for 1 week or 1 month (I hand wash clothes in the sink if I have my own bathroom in hotel/ Airbnb, leave them to drip in the shower.)

    • @ElegantlyEDC
      @ElegantlyEDC 4 часа назад

      @kitty_s23456 - The weight is something that I hadn't even considered- that's a good insight! I'd like to think that it wasn't that heavy, I tend to pack as light as possible, mainly because I don't want to carry everything everywhere, but I did not measure its weight. I'm more familiar with traveling in the U.S.A. and Europe; I was unaware that Asian countries are more concerned about weight and not size. If I do another travel video, I'll be sure to add that data. Thanks for commenting!

    5:15 As John from Active Self Protection channel always says that everyone would benefit from carrying an effective OC spray, even if you carry a firearm because not every situation is life or death situation and you don't need a deadly force but most of the times you would need a way to distract and get away from the problems that are brought upon you.

    I feel like edc items for women are either pretty and non-functional, functional but eye-searing pink, or ugly and non-functional. Why can't I get a functional Swiss Army-style multi-tool with that pretty leaf design? I don't think I'm asking too much here. Those handwarmers look like they'd be super useful though. Everything else? Not so much.

    • @ElegantlyEDC
      @ElegantlyEDC 2 дня назад

      @kotadawndragon - Yeah, the hand warmers were the only useful thing on this list. The lighter was a fun but gimmicky thing, the pink knife was abysmal, and the hair clips were a joke. EDC items for women are pretty hit-and-miss. I appreciate that there was some effort to make something that might benefit women, but it was executed incorrectly by the manufacturers.

    I'm liking your channel so far. You make good recommendations for us ladies with none of the "pocket goodies" that a lot of male-focused edc channels add. Keep up the good work! I carry a similar load out for my daily carry (minus the S&W). 1. My wallet is basically a coin purse that's big enough to hold cards. It has a dedicated ID window and two zipper compartments. I like it because I can slip coins, receipts, or just tiny items like jewelry into the second zipper compartment. 2. I also carry a small zipper pouch about the same size as the wallet that holds a glasses repair kit, medication in teeny little containers, fingernail clippers, bandaids, tweezers, and a small comb. It's my mini "emergency" kit. 3. My keys have a small flashlight and a similar Swiss Army knife. I had no idea just how often I would end up using it when I bought it. It gets used at least 3-4 times a week. 4. My phone. Can't live without that thing.

      @kotadawndragon 2 дня назад

      @@ElegantlyEDC I keep my meds in small tins that have a sliding lid. They work great for going inside my little "emergency" pouch. Blister pack meds work great too. If you get one of the keychain canisters, try to find one with a really good screw top lid or a locking mechanism of some sort if possible. I've had several of them (admittedly cheap ones) that would come loose as they got carried around. I even lost one. That's one reason I like the little sliding top tins that I can easily put inside a pouch. If they open, everything is still contained. The one I carry is the Signature Lite. It's slightly smaller than the Midnight Manager, but does everything I need it to. I'm not really going around fixing stuff with it so it works great.

    Is it just me, or does the whole premise of “a Women’s multi-tool” seem sexist? As though the assumption being that a woman couldn’t use a man-size multitool, or wouldn’t need as practical a tool as a man would carry? And the phrase, “But most women are not going to need most of these tools”, really has a patronising sting. And then you see the “best tool for women” chosen and, of course, it’s one of the models that sports a kind of Micky Mouse main blade, because, obviously, most women would feel intimidated opening even a medium size main blade. (That was me being sarcastic). Now -also being honest here - it’s my experience that a lot of women are intimidated by sharp objects, and especially knives. However, I think this is entirely a nurture/nature issue. Women are brought up to think that it’s womanly to be wet about practical things, unless they’re raised in an enlightened environment that empowers them to get stuck in and enjoy the practical pastimes that so often women are deprived of experiencing as they develop.

    • @ElegantlyEDC
      @ElegantlyEDC 3 дня назад

      That's a fair question! Sometimes, I think it can be sexist, and other times an asset. In this case, I feel like this particular multi-tool celebrates Victorinox's engineering with the female audience in mind. It fits comfortably in my smaller, feminine hands. My channel is not designed to draw a line in the sand and encourage a mindset of, "women can't do something", or "women can do something". But rather, I wish to draw attention to items that may be helpful in certain situations. Thanks for commenting.

      @ElegantlyEDC 5 дней назад

      @donnawilson7486 - That's a tough one...I don't want to encourage you to break the law in any way, but by the same token, a would-be attacker doesn't care about the law either. With that said...ask yourself what your personal safety is worth to you. From there, find something you're comfortable with, and use that. I'm not sure where you're from, and I'm not a legal expert, but I implore you to find something that works for your situation. I'm sorry I'm not much more help, but I have some small things listed below. Look into super bright flashlights with strobe features. At the very least, you'll have something that can cause disorientation and draw the attention of bystanders. You can also find noise machines and shrill whistles that attach to your keys or clothes. This way you can make a lot of noise and cause a scene. No attacker likes attention.

En total tiene 8 herramientas, ( solo tiene un lado libre, asi que tendra que elegir cual herramienta desea traer al lado del boligrafo) 😊palillo, pinzas, boligrafo. Bastante completa, solamente le falta tener luz desea usar

      I've seen several people in the comments ask about the Mini models, especially the Mini Champ. I really like the tools offered by that particular model. I'm not too familiar with that one, besides reading about it, but if I buy one in the future, I'll be happy to review it!

    That's a solid choice, dude. My wife is set up with a custom Classic on her keys and a tactical folder clipped to a purse pocket. She doesn't use the toothpick. Sometimes uses the tweezers. I have to admit that she might use the light enough more to make the extra thickness and weight worth the trouble.

      @Smaug1 - It's nice to hear about another lady using a Swiss Army Knife! I prefer using compact, slender SAKs, but if she is using her tools regularly, then a bigger SAK is definitely the right choice! Maybe I'll get myself a custom one in the future!

    You think you don't need a flashlight during the day, but if there is an power-failure at a shopping centre, it can be pitch black and you never know when the emergency power will kick in. In fact, one shopping centre I used to frequent had an electrical fire. Everyone got out safely. Here is a tip... that whole morning they had been testing the fire alarms. That afternoon, when the electrical fire happened, some of the people thought the alarm was another test. Never think that, because in this situation, it wasn't, just an amazing co-incidence.

    • @ElegantlyEDC
      @ElegantlyEDC 9 дней назад

      @lilsprugga - You make a great point; another commenter said something similar. I didn't even think about that; where I'm from, severe weather takes out the power occasionally, so my little flashlight would be great for those times.

    Another great video! I'm a huge Anker fan and have happily carried the PowerCore in my EDC. However, I recently switched our house to a collection of the Anker Nano Power Bank. It has similar stats but is a bit smaller, includes a built-in plug (USB-C or lightning depending on the model) and has an additional USB-C in/out port. Have you had the opportunity to try this model? I would love to hear your thoughts on that particular form factor. Cheers!

      I have not personally used the Nano Power Bank; another commenter actually recommended this power bank as well. I like that it has a built-in power cord as it saves from having to pack an additional, separate cord. It's on my short list of EDC items to try; thanks for the recommendation!

    I share you're theory in different outings, call for different edc items. My monday through friday Edc is a lot of tools. I like carrying smaller. I work at a hospital and I'm in the engineering department. I fix everything from equipment to the building. 70% of the time what I carry in my fanny pack is enough to do the work. I don't carry a lot in it either. I appreciate your videos. To see what you as the opposite sex carries.

    No need for a flashlight during the day? If you are indoors, imagine what you would see if the power went out, in many places we are now dependent on artificial light.

    Great video, as usual 😊 Seems like a simple and perfect edc to me! Every item is minimalist and efficient. Will speak to my wife about your choice of a man wallet instead of a big and bulky purse 😁 And I totally support your choice to carry a boomstick (I adopt this word as well 😂). Here in Europe, my boomsticks are in a safe and I can only take them to the range and back in a manner that they can’t be used instantaneously (disassembled, or at least empty magazines on a side and the boomstick on the other). On keychain edc: I added a little aluminum case to my keychain, with the little Victorinox screwdriver for glasses, a safety pin, 4-5 mini magnets and a regular pin. Very useful when you carry only Alox models like me.

    • @ElegantlyEDC
      @ElegantlyEDC 10 дней назад

      Thanks for commenting and sharing! I know Europe is more regulated with their broomsticks (this word cracks me up every time), but it's neat to see some enthusiasts from all around the world. I like your additions to your keychain! Sometimes, I attach a little travel container with Ibruprofen or Tylenol, but that's usually when I'll be out doing outdoor activities or traveling. I like that you have a mini-glasses repair kit. I'll suggest to my dad to adopt the same!
