The audience was Anita's background singers...They showed Ms. Baker the love she deserves. One thing about Anita and Sade, their music is timeless....none of that artificial crap, just real music. Some people, not all, go around thinking FLEAonce is all that, she's a gimmick, Anita, Rachelle Farrell, Lalah Hathaway, Jazmine Sullivan, those are just some sisters who hold it down for R&B music. LaLah did an excellent Job in remaking Angel....
It's BEYONCÉ and she's not just a singer she's a entertainer and performer, Not a "gimmick" so you should probably look up videos of her just singing and even a hater like you will be amazed at how amazing her vocals are. It's people like you and I'm sure you're black that always have to try and downgrade one successful black woman to uplift others and that's sad and pathetic of you.
@Rozziefeatherschneider I think what he is trying to say is that the vocal range of a lot of artist like Ms. B is not that strong as other R&B singers. To be honest it does not have to be because the fans do not require it from them. So can Ms B high those notes both high and low? I do not know and it does not really matter either. You have to understand the R&B music at that time of Baker you did not have some of the tech we have now. Also they Baker had Houston and other artists fight to be in that spot. The same is fke the men. The R&B artist do not have to share or fight against Luther, Mike, and other artists of that time. So it is easier to a point when it comes to range and control. No I am not black either. Latino!
