@@MaisieCraddock yes i applied online and passed the interview so i’m just waiting. i have a question i couldn’t find online though, it says you can’t use family but if i worked for my uncle am i able to use him as a reference still?

Congrats on passing the interview, you’re definitely heading in the right direction and great you’ve applied so early too. I’m sure you can use him as a reference if he was your boss for your job and you don’t have anyone else you can put down.

I think this may depend on where you’re going as I believe in London there are things going on in the day a bit more around the city but Glasgow was just the concert itself which was about 3 hours from early evening onwards :) you’ll be fine just going to the main event, that’s all I did and felt like I had seen it all! X

We did this on the beach at Ipsos! But I’m sure they have them all over! So fun, just make sure you watch them do it to other people first and it’s not too fast as I’ve recently seen TikTok’s of ones too fast and people falling off! Ours was fab though x

Yes! I actually recently made a post about it on my food insta @tastingtourswithmaisie It’s good, but very buttery and sickly. I preferred Tak’s to be honest! Other good ones are Fress, Cafe North and the special French toast they do at Haunt :)

Every camp will have its variations and to determine what’s “better” is all down to personal preference. What I’ve described here is common for many of the summer camps that Camp America offer

Hey! You should be able to apply on the year you turn 18, there was a girl at my camp who had just turned 18! You’ll soon find out if any issues in the early stages of applying but from memory, I think you’ll be fine :)

The UK is like the USA, Australia, Canada, NZ and all the rest of the former British-influenced world where there is not really a national cuisine - our language may have conquered the world, but our cooking certainly has not. If you search it out, you will find in Manchester restaurants typical of almost every country I the world pretty much within one square mile, this stands in sharp contrast to cities in Italy or France for example - countries with massive international reputations for cuisine - where apart from the biggest cities, within a square mile, restaurants will be almost entirely Italian or French (with the occasional nod to the rest of the world).

You could reach out to that camp directly and introduce yourself etc. I’m not sure exactly how it works but they could then either recruit you via camp america (more preferable as you’ll then have the support of Camp America) or they could hire you directly and then you’ll have to sort your own flights and arrangements to get to camp. If I was you though I would do it via Camp America and you may be able to tell Camp America your preferred camp too or meet them at a recruitment fair. If you don’t get hired by that camp though at least you’ll have the fall back of others doing it that way :)

They gave it to me to use during the summer but I’d only be able to use when on my shifts, not during down time
