Thank you :) Its gets tiring on long motorway journeys but its great fun on track or other short drives.

The 370Z does not do well for oil temps. Regularly they hit 120c causing it to stop giving power. I had to get an oil cooler fitted. Even then temps would still hit 110c but it was enough to stop the power throttling. On the Nurburgring, I found I could do 1 fast lap the drive round at a cool down pace then do another fast lap followed by a cool down lap and so on.

Shame you felt that way. I quite enjoyed the vid. I'd never go that fast I don't have the conkers😮

Hello. I have used them on track and they perform just fine. I was being cautious as I had done my own adjustments but it felt good. Feels stable and on the road it doesn’t feel any less comfortable than the standard suspension to be honest. On track it’s a little difficult to judge fully as I didn’t have a sports seat. However, I do have a sports seat now so I’ll be able to judge suspension a bit better this year.

Yeah, it definitely is not fast. I really struggled with that SLK. I’m not the fastest anyway but I just couldn’t get comfortable in that car.

Hi. The only thing I have done with the engine is a replacement air box. Other than that the changes to the car are a milltek exhaust, new wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport S tyres and some AP racing front brakes.

Nice time. I haven't even managed that in my GTR yet (8:34 is my fastest after a couple of visits). The 370Z should definitely be capable of faster than 8:21 in the right hands,

Thanks. It's definitely good fun and not ridiculously expensive. I do my track days through circuit-days.co.uk usually. Thruxton costs around £170 for the day, 9-5pm. You just drive as much as you want or as much as your car can take. As long as your car is road legal with decent tyres and brakes you are good to go.

Hi. This was a while ago... I had an Invidia Gemini exhaust with high flow cats and a remap. The remap did not offer huge power boosts as the Nismo already has extra power over standard. I used a Torqen Big Brake Kit and I mostly used Ferodo DS2500 pads. Tyres will have most likely been Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. I had a 19 row oil cooler. An oil cooler is essential if you want to take a 370z on track. It will cut power when oil temp reaches 110. With the oil cooler it allowed about 120. If you can afford bigger than 19 rows then get bigger.

The super sport is pretty cool. I got rid of my Insignia many years ago now due to the cost of keeping it running. I have lately been thinking about getting another one though to replace my Jag XF. I'd get one that is over 3 years old though to ensure any issues with timing chains have already been flushed out etc (which was a big issue on my VXR and one of the reasons for getting rid of it other than the cost of parts, tax and fuel economy).

​@@QuickLapWhat Production Year did you have before? I guess it was a 2009 / 2010/ 2011. The 2012 and Later didn't have these Problems Anymore.

Hi. This is the standard Nismo exhaust on the Nismo 370z without any modifications.

Actually ignore that last comment, i just realised what this video is. This is not a Nismo exhaust, its the Invidia Gemini which I bought a while after getting the car. @@QuickLap Thank you for the quick response. So would you say the Invidia Gemini isn’t obnoxiously loud? Any drone inside the cabin with the Gemini?

@@mitch1668 Based on what you have said the Nismo exhaust is probably closer to what you want. I haven't had the car for about 2.5 years now so its tough to remember but I do think I recall a couple of Nurburgring trips being a little exhausting (pardon the pun) due to the lengthy time of hearing the exhaust at cruising speed.

It is quite a trek just for a day at the ring :) To go from the UK its worth it, not sure I would say the same in your case :) But if you are ever driving Europe then of course a few laps on a tourist day is perfect.

Yeah, it gives plenty of effort even when a lot of cars stop trying.

Yes I have. I did do it one time it was a weird experience for sure :) When its real though my fear of death or destroying the car takes over.

Hiya. I used to only do tourist days. Having now done a track day I would not do a tourist day again unless I happened to be in the area and just wanted a quick couple of laps. As long as you are going to do enough laps, a track day is much better. Less cars, everyone out there knows what its all about, you don't have to contend with bikers. Its just an all round better experience. Regarding software, I am now using track addict to record data and I use an application called RaceRender on the Mac to make all the overlays from that data. Its available on Windows too. It costs a little bit of money but it does so much stuff its worth it if you will use it regularly.

I'm very cautious on track. And it was my first time really driving the car which makes me extra cautious.

I would not hit max speed on the track. The highest speed I got the Z to on the autobahn was 164 I believe. There is a video on the channel showing the run.

I'm sure with experience I could achieve it.

Thanks. It’s surprisingly hard to do it for such a long period of time. On shorter tracks with less than 15 bends it’s quite straightforward but doing it for 10 minutes is a challenge.

Sorry I did not reply :( Lacking channel updates this year. I use GoPros for video, a V-LINK OBD2 reader and Track Addict on my phone to catch the data. I then use RaceRender to put it all together and add overlays.

@@QuickLap the 370Z doesn't really get too crazy. If anything you'll be getting a lot of understeer.

Its a good price to be fair, great car. New ones are even more expensive and you can find 2007 models for £10k still. Over 12 years, a 50% loss in value on a vauxhall is pretty good.

It’s called dash command. I don’t use that now, instead I use one called track addict which is far superior.
