Instant Ocean filtered for 24hrs. SEE THE RESULTS!

Ever wonder what is in your salt mix. Watch this video and see how it truly is! I have been filtering my salt mix for about 8 months now with filter floss/pillow stuffing. This method has reduced my replacements of sponges drastically! Before it was every 2-3 weeks and rinse it every 3 days before replacement. Now I replace the C4 sponge every 2-3 months and rinse every month in between replace...
Red Line Wrasse aka H. Biocellatus

Here is my new Red Line Wrasse. He had quite the journey to make it to my tank, but now after a week. He has settled in quite nicely and is coming out earlier as the days go on. The first 30 hrs he stayed in the sand bed. This is very normal for wrasse that bury themselves in the sand. He is eating Hikari blood worms, mysis, and brine w/spirulina for frozens. He is also enjoying the pods that i...

How to cycle any type of tank

I have never done a how to cycle a tank and how everything works for the nitrogen cycle video correctly. Sorry if you already know, but at least you can see the update on the Reef Nutrition Tigger Pod tank. Population is starting to thrive again and cycling process is on its way. Reef Nutrition Tigger Pods in a 13g tank

I decided to start up another colony. This type of pod is great for Omega 3 for the fish when they eat them. Which will help with their slime coat. The tank is so simple to set up . Watch the salinity to make sure it does not get to high. No heater needed, because this type of pod is collected in the tide pools out in California where the temperature of the water can reach up to 100F no problem...

For my tank it worked the first time the second time I had a cyano breakout it didn't work it eventually went away on its own but never hurt my corals, now I have a dino breakout and tried other things but it's not going away so will try this red lime remover once again if it doesn't work then I'll try anything else for another months if nothing changes that's it for me I guess.

It's been a while, but if my memory serves me right. Dinoflagellates usually only comes out with ultra low nutrient tanks. Same with cyano. Try to keep your nitrates at 5-10ppm after a water change. Bottoming out at 0ppm with get the cyano or dino juices going.

Definitely not a Topaz. Definitely a Figure 8 that lives in brackish 1.008-1.010. It is a euryhaline fish. It can go back forth between fresh to salt without having an issue with how they metabolize. They are 100% a brackish water fish.

I really wonder why, I've researched so much on the net and people usually say its a sign of stress, but he's alone in the 20 gallon brackish water tank, no tankmates, with plenty of rocks and driftwoods. Believe it or not I purchased a spotted Mandarine last month because my LSF told me they were good with flat worms🤔. Go figure. Either way I fell in love with her and did my research on diet and my heart sank when I realized they eat pods. So I didn't want her to die and I started buying bottles tisbe at first and then of tigger pods like a drug addict on crack so that she wouldn't die on me. In the meantime I tried feeding live brine with a target feeder and it worked 😅. Then I started to mix in frozen brine till she got used to eating frozen only. I have had her in the tank now 1 month and she looks great . Hasn't lost weight. I've also started to raise tigger pods in a 2 gallon tank and have had success. I'd like to raise more though.

It's been a tough battle with the worms and it got to the point my rocks had a carpet of flat worms covering them. Also Cory are Shoaling fish not Schooling :) its even cooler, it means they just "hang out" along the bottom. (Pygmys swim all around its normal) more conventoonal Corys stick to the bottom mostly. If you get 10 corys they like move around on the bottom like a living carpet its adorable!
