Do you have a clean up crew of any kind in the saltwater tank? I'd recommend getting a bunch of Astraea Turbo Snails and Nassarius Snails as well has a bunch of Blue Leg and Red Leg Hermit Crabs. The Nassarius will bury in the sand to keep it turned over. You could even get a Tuxedo Urchin.

Hair algae is caused by too much light. Reduce the length of time your lights are on by an hour or two.

If you get a hang on the back filter and stuff it with fine filter floss or something of that nature, that cloudy wild type tank will clear right up

You may be over feeding that platy tank, it’s easier to feed small amounts multiple times a day since they have small stomachs!

You need a roosting perch pole. A nice size wooden fence post suspended on each end by strong fence wire is perfect about 1 meter off the ground. They seem to enjoy the slight swing motion of the perch. If they are huddling in a corner they are not happy. Also you need to make sure that you have good quality wood shaving ir saw dust in their layer boxes. I have found that if the open end if the nest box is facing away from the entrance the prefer that. Regards from South Africa

You can tell female German Blue Rams by the pink belly. They're kinda like the Krebensis when sexing them, you go by the pink belly and I believe the fins are longer too. Keep it up man, I love your channel.

Be careful of making the male friendly. That’s how they get confident and when they get confident around people they will become mean and can be extremely dangerous. Especially around small children. I would advise against ever becoming friends with a ram.

If the caterpillar shows more black than brown it’ll be a cold winter. If it’s more brown than black a warmer but rainier winter. Or the woollier the caterpillar the worse the winter. A few old wives tales about woolly bears lol
