MN were lucky to get their first try awarded, looked like she had her hand under the ball to me and lost control of it. Great reply by SC to that try soon after though which started with a mighty run from the girl in the yellow vest and didn't she play well in the second half with 2 tries. Gusty win by SC, fullback played well as did the #10 & 13 in making critical meters but the whole team did well backing each other up in defence & attack.. Team should be proud of that win.

Outmuscled in the first half SC by a much bigger team, remember to keep it simple in the wet. The forward pack needs to be running hard onto the ball to make metres out of your own half, none of that fancy passing which leaves room for errors in the wet. Nice try by the #4 to end the game, Annalisa should of been the kicker though.

Can I get a rules verification for the play the ball at the 19:00 mark. Is the player, playing the ball, allowed to take the defence out of play by charging forward with her shoulder into a defensive player after the play the ball. Effectively taking that player out of play, to me that should a penalty to Sunshine Coast and a no try.

Why did this referee allow ME to contest the scrums, this is not Rugby Union and contested scrums are thing of the pass. I would of given a 20m penalty for the first offence and warned them if they did it again there would be send offs. Sorry but ME was allowed to run rough shot over SC and were allowed to slow down SC;s attack way too much which is another area that should of been policed more. ME is a great side, with some really good players in it, like the left hand side winger (what a speed machine she is) and would of won anyway with defence like that but there were tactics there that I wouldn't of allowed.
