Something you can do if you want to have the straight pipe sound but not lose the backbox is to get an electronic valve from a secondhand TT mk3 exhaust (there are many others which use this valve also, like the Focus RS mk3). Just cut the valve out and get an exhaust shop to weld in a pipe which will have this valve on it, from the midpipe just before the backbox, to the exit pipe on the backbox, basically bypassing the backbox. You can of course leave the original/stock valve how it is, or remove it, or mod it so it stays open. This way you can wire in a switch in the dash to open or close the valve whenever you want. The valve is really easy to wire up, its just 3 pins: positive and negative power, and a signal wire which all it does is detect if its earthed or not, and that decides if the valve is open or closed - so its just a wire going to ground and put the switch wherever you want on that wire. The cheaper/easier alternative is to just put a pipe with the valve further up the exhaust system, so when the valve is open it bypasses all the secondary cats and resonators.

Man it's incredible, I have exactly the same problems as you, fogging in the headlight and iDrive 8 sometimes doesn't work with iOS Car Play I have to do the same stop and restart the car... I have this car which I bought brand new in January 2024. But without these problems I love this car :)

Where is the exhaust?

Had a Brooklyn grey 230i now for about a month, love it so far been getting 40mpg, power is ok, i think it should be more 300bhp as its a heavy car. Also a bit disappointed they dont have adaptive cruise standard like the golf but not been missing it massively.

Wish you told us about the panoramic view roof, was it good ? How reliable is it ? Any change in temperature inside the car because of it ? Thanks ❤

My issue, my blind spot sensor passenger side does not work all the time. It sees the first car that I pass and then … that’s it. Went to the dealer and they notice the problem and they think it is a software issue because there are no errors in sensor itself …. Does anyone has the same problem ?
