I had one of the best fight's ever on my okuma matrix this afternoon when I hooked a 6 kilo Garrick.

In this video we targeted Kabeljou and Snapper salmon. In the mix we had Shayur (one of our friends) who had hooked into a monster shad (bluefish/tailor in other countries). Upon reaching the beach we saw the water had been very murky and decided that it was good conditions to do some non-ed fishing (shark fishing). So we had slid out a live bait for a Kob and made a Mackerel bomb when we suddenly got hit by this massive blackfin! On this beautiful Wednesday afternoon , We'd decided to head out in search of a Blackfin while doing some light tackle Scratching. Nice fish , bought myself the same rod this morning and managed to get two shad on a 9cm pink clone lure late this afternoon. Awesome fight on the matrix rod.

Beautiful Wave Garricks . Fun on light tackle . How is that matrix btw ?
The matrix is a beauty of a rod. I’ve had quite a number of rods as you can see from my previous videos. It’s a little more stiff than the recon. The inspira 3000 that I’ve paired with it, is my favourite reel right now.

Why dont you release the breeding fish ?
We do release fish that are undersize. We also don’t keep every fish, only enough if we decide we want to keep it to eat. 👍 We want to preserve our fish for the future anglers to actually have fish to catch.

What rod u using?
That's my okuma recon 7ft paired with an okuma ITX 3000. Beautiful Rod, however in my newer videos I'm now using the Okuma matrix 7ft with an okuma Inspira 3000.
