Good advice, had stuff in the past like this, chinesium. Buy the best you can afford, especially with jacks. I use a sealey high lift for my off roader, has extra hight built in, and i have a 2.7t jack from Costco, which i can barely lift lol
it's stock length 23" springer?
Do you recommend buying it?
I think for the money it's a good buy or was 4 years ago
How much did you pay? Did you not get back to Pedalease about the problems
Paid £300
Ha, so a second hand bargain? Or i would be worried a bit dodgy at that price
That's a good review, I'm thinking of getting a fat bike to convert to electric and I've been looking at various sellers on ebay with this kind of bike, I'll need to build the wheel up with the hub motor that I've already got so I hope it has 36 spokes.
I just purchased one on eBay. I looked at quite a few online and decided on this one. I’m 58 and didn’t want to spend a lot on one . I already have a trek dual suspension mountain bike that I purchased in1996. I basically want the fat cat for sand and snow riding. If I decide to upgrade components I already have a good selection of bicycle tools. I doubt it has sealed hubs and the crank.
where did you buy the fenders please?
Ebay
now i know that im late with it being 4 years later, But do you realize that you got the wrong springer? If you look on the TC Bros site, you can see that you have a "big twin" springer that specifically says its not compatible with dynas, the tree setup shouldve been a tell. instead you should have bought SKU# 113-0114, which is under the dyna parts tab, and has an entirely different tree setup to accommodate the placement of the tanks, neck, and stem. without grinding. for anyone in the future, measure twice, cut once. research before you buy. this couldve been plug n play barring the spacers.
they added wont fit dynas after I let them know they didn.t work.
Hi, is stock front end?
Yes I wanted the same ride height
Can u tell me where you got your mudguards from please? Thanks
Ebay
buryme2012 thanks for that! U still got yours???
@@coxsy123 yes still running fine
buryme2012 thanks definitely worth buying one then???
E bay
Great bike
I just bought one few days ago look amazing
What size is that wheel nut and where do I get them from??
blacksmith products think 22mm not %100 sure
98035 WHEEL HEX NUTS ORANGE
Did you ever get it to work right and,did you have to move the tank back?
Question. I have moto iron springer. Its a trike. If neck to tight have the same then problem. If i loosen it up just barely i have lift play. Any thoughts. Thanks
Yikes. I considered one of these but went with Paughco instead. Did you finish the install?
Good honest review. The bike looks great esp. with the fenders on. I'm finding it very hard to decide which bike to purchase. The more I look, the more confused I get, lol.
Just fitted mine mate and was wondering how high you set the fender mounts? I've set mine at 1 1/4
Sounds about right to me did you have any problems spacing the wheel
@@buryme2012 oh yes mate. I've used the 21 inch sporty wheel (it's an 01) and went thru a few standard spacers but in he end had to have a mate of mine make some up. All worked out well though. You are right about the forks not fitting as well mate. I had to make new stops for the frame and lift the tank back by 2 inches. Your bike looks good chum. Well done.
Hello , do you think is a good Brand and good product please ?
can anyone tell me how much travel the forks have plz
about an inch
Hi, I was looking at this front for my 98 softail. I notice that in their description it says it doesn't fit dynas. I guess you proved them wrong. How does it ride? Good job.
I got one it's still stock
Ive just spend over a thousand pounds on the electric version and it didnt last a week. Out of the box the pedal assist sensor wasn't attached and was full of chips like yours.I didnt see that as enough to send it back like you.on my first ride the chain slipped off breaking the chain guard with it and on my second trip the back wheel ( which was pre fitted )fell off while i was doing thirty miles an hour smashing the lcd screen and breaking the hub motor.I have no chance of getting my money back as pedalease or paypal don't want to know.
Thanks for that, sorry you had such a horrible time, you saved me buying one
Ive been to tc bro site and it says not for dyna right on thier site not sure if thats new but they do state that it will fit sporty and soft tail but no dyna
When I bought them it did not say that they added it after I sent them a link to the u tube videos I put up.Thats why I had to modify the lugs on the forks.Could hardly ship them back to the states from the UK
hi will the Bafang BBS01B 36V 250W Mid Drive Motor Kit - BB Length: 68mm fit on
Nice setup! Did you have any problems working out the spacing for the from wheel/brake bracket?
its on other video
Nice !
Have you changed a motor yet,, if you have how did you do it
nice,i added extra chassis to make into 1/5 scale
yes i bought extra body plates but never fitted them
Are you happy with that brand of springer
yes good quality for the price
Have ridden that hard in swings bad ways etc? Or just mostly cruising? Was that stable or did you noticed worst stability?
What size front wheel are you running?
the standard 19" wheel
Been looking into buying one of these, any idea what size is the hex n the wheels? 17mm is common for the 1/8 scale but I have been told that some have odd sizes and are hard to find aftermarket wheels that will fit.
where you get links
nitrotek
Yes,thanks for video on springer to superglide,I was wandering did you use stock 19" tire and dyna headlight and gauges and how did this work for you
yeh used the standard laced wheel a bates headlamp shell and a sportster headlamp with the hd logo in the centre. The guage and idiot lights I fixed to the risers.
Thanks again,I was wandering about the gas tank bolt.By removing it completely and grinding off upper porsion of tank tabs and then a little lower pop rivieting what remaining of tabs to frame.I have dna springer from ebay and my bike is 1999 harley superglide,The dna is made just like your moto haven't started yet. How did all this work out for you and any new new up dates. St Louis,USA
dna has some differences best thing is to bolt them on first and see how much turning angle you have. You will see where they are hanging up and go from there. For the petrol tank bolt I used a kitchen wall / base unit fitting it has a flat head with allen key slot used to join them all together and bought a longer lengh of threaded bar from the hardware store and cut to lengh.
Just curious, is that the "stock length" Moto Iron springer that you have one there? Just getting a feel for looks on the bike. Thanks for the videos. Researching getting some from TCB myself and this was helpful.
yeh stock length.I need to do another video had to shim front brake disc and move one of the brass shims over. The turning circle is still not good enough. So I,m going to elongate the holes on the front and back of the fuel tank so it will move back a fraction then take a little more off the forks. That said the bike looks right , level , handles ok recommend using the shock for a smoother ride
Gt lights came today so I fitted those, made a rear bumper from metal painted that and fitted it the lights are really bright.Had to change out the two channel rx/tx as I needed another channel to switch the lights on and off.So used a spare flysky fs-gt2b and receiver had lying around. Will post another video soon.
