    How can you defend against this when playing the kings indian setup? I lose so many games against this attack

    • @Beyonder710
      @Beyonder710 4 дня назад

      If white is castled on queens side , don't let white play h4 , h5. If white plays h4 you immediately play h5. In the battery set up , you don't take the white bishop , let white take your dark squared bishop coz then you have king on g7 square and the h6 square is covered by king so white queen cannot enter and h4 - h5 is not possible coz you yourself played h5. You can also slide your rook over so that it's no longer pinned to your bishop , and even in some cases you might even sacrifice your passive rook for White's active dark squared bishop , but be careful not to go in endgame coz then you'll lose

      @ what if the dark square bishop lands on G5 attacking my Horse on f6? If he takes I take back with my bishop leaving H3 weak for the queen to infiltrate

    • @Beyonder710
      @Beyonder710 4 дня назад

      @@kylewilliams4490 Then you go back to g7 , attack the queen and kick it out. Either way if white trades their dark squared bishop your knight , it's a win win for you. Also king's Indian setup is played so that you get to push pawns infront of your king...and white practically has no attack on your king side so white has to attack queen side...But you should know when to push your pawns , not before and certainly not too late Oh and keep the centre locked for as long as possible...don't let white get in on the queen side , that way you get more time to brew your attack on White's king if he's castled

    The mistake for black is Nc5? Instead, if black moves the queen out of the pin, the knight can take back on h5 and then u bring in the other knight into the defense or even push the f pawn to chase away the bishop on g5.

    Very uselful! I was looking for something like this: where tactics become strategies. It gives "goal positions" to reach in the game just before the center's clean up. Having this in mind helps to decide how to proceed the exchange at the center. And also, successful or not, it puts opponent on its heels, helping to acquire a tempo. At my level (poor), this is exactly what I need to SEE in the game. Thank you!

Oh, by the way, my little channel is called "ASMR Cigar Lounge," and I mostly smoke cigars and drink cocktails, but believe it or not, one of my most popular videos was when I was playing chess while smoking a cigar and drinking a cocktail. Kia ora from Germany! When this video popped up in my sight I thought that IM Christof Sielecki - whom you may know as a Chessable author and who lives in the some 80,000-soul town as I do - had reactivated his old RUclips account („Chessexplained“) … - and was pleasantly surprised to hear a bloke with a Kiwi accent talking chess in a down to Earth way! Most helpful content for a 1600-odd ELO player like me with more than just a soft spot for Aotearoa after marrying my (German) girlfriend in Christchurch back in Nov. 1999. Unsuccessful lesson that does not lead to any generalizable knowledge for an intermediate level player. Similar weaknesses are seen in the other videos on this channel. General pattern: Claims a strategic idea (three bullet points) that superficially seems reasonable. Then shows an Implementation that is way too complicated for an ordinary player to follow, remember or ever generalize to his own games. The field of Chess youtubers is crowded enough. Please give real value in your lessons or your channel will continue to stay tiny.

      Hey that's awesome! Good luck. Okay I would first and foremost suggest playing openings you are comfortable with and have played often. It will usually lead to middlegames that you are more experienced in. Play to your strengths. There are only a set number of games. You don't want to be in unfamiliar, uncomfortable positions in a comeptitive environment. Having only a few days to prepare, remember to BACK YOURSELF! Your chess level is great and there is no time to reinvent the wheel now. Stick with what your know, play your heart out, and whatever happens, the sun rises the next day and in 6 months you will be even stronger! 😎♟️
