Isn't it ironic how the most futuristic game in the series has the most realistic controls?

    What do you think the hardest game is? If AC3 is the second hardest? Also you seemingly played the incomplete Project Nemo translation? There’s a more complete translation made by Load Word Team. BONUS! ITS NOT MADE BY TRANSPHOBES! Also I don’t know if this is a hot take, but Memory Error is the best mission, followed closely by Tunnel Vision (it’s peak) Also best Waifu is Keith. The things I’d let him do to-… I will not elaborate.

      @thezig2078 27 дней назад

      (I'm refering only to the highest difficulty in both games, but ACX can be considerably more difficult than most games even on hard) X on Ace is definitely the absolute hardest game in the series. Extremely aggressive AI, paired with high missile speed, considerable input lag, and 04 style physics where you first need to reach certain angle of attack before the plane starts to turn, requiring the player to be proactive 99% of the time, and the fact your missiles can miss the target if it just rolls. AC3 is very hard too due to it's surprisingly realistic physics where you need to be really careful with your actions, and the fact that enemy missiles can lead your aircraft, however in AC3 all the rules apply to both you and your enemies, while ACX enemies can decelerate from mach 2 to cruise speed on instant, and take much tighter turns than you regardless of the plane they fly.

    Cool seeing someone covering this game and franchise as a whole. Can't speak much on the second game, but I have played the first one on and off for nearly 15 years now. It's an interesting game to play to burn some time, but the microtransactions and pay-to-win aspects can be rather outrageous. For instance take the best weapon in the game currently, the "Wraith Cannon". It is a minigun with unlimited ammo with virtually no reload time depending on your stats that would put a $450 dent in your pocket if you are not currently paying the optional Gold Membership monthly subscription to get the slight discount on their premium currency known as Credits. This is not an isolated example either, the best armors such as the Vengeance Guard, Parasitic Husk, and many more are capable of tanking hits from the strongest boss zombies in the game that would otherwise kill a player that is using armors that can be found out in the open-world. These tanky armors will typically dent your pocket for another $100-$300ish. You also have the implant system that allows you to further augment your stats increasing just about anything your character can do such as run speed, reload speed, and even weapon damage. The best of these implants will cost you another $40-$60 A PIECE and your character can use about 20 of them at max level if I am not mistaken. On top of all of this, the game regularly uses FOMO tactics on a ton of the items in the game that end up being the best-in-slot items a character can use by only selling them for a limited time. Sometimes you can retroactively purchase these items again through the game's market board using in-game earned cash but typically the best high-end stuff cannot be traded and or placed on the market board but when you pair that with absurdly low loot rates for valuable items (If you don't have the monthly subscription to increase your loot chances) AND the ability to sell your premium currency (Credits) for in-game cash, you get quite the wonky game economy that makes it quite difficult for a player who does not spend money on the game to play it towards the endgame creating a massive wall that for all intensive purposes bars those who do not pay up from progressing. To the game's credit, when new updates come about that introduce these really strong items, the devs are pretty good about offering a free alternative that's slightly weaker but still optimal that can be earned by grinding the events put out upon the stronger items' release and even some events where the grinded free gear actually is the best-in-slot item for the event cycle. It is a fun game nonetheless, but the pricing used can be absolutely absurd and it creates a massive gap between those who have the means to fund their player character and those who do not. The prices seem rather predatory at times but I can forgive it to an extent with the game being nearly two decades old now and continuing to receive semi-regular updates and events through these microtransactions. Overall, the game had a massive opportunity to become something really special and huge for gaming in my opinion back in the day during its prime. I believe their price structure and the criticisms you have listed in your video played a massive role in the game not really living up to the potential it truly could have had. A game similar to it could very well thrive in today's market if done correctly. Great video though man and thank you for covering this game, absolute classic of a song and RUclips history towards the end there as well. Cheers.

    My only criticisms with this is that the characters don't have character to them. Maybe it's because I come from TXR but it'd be nice to have some of them stand out a bit for being different in a way. The other one that I don't hear anyone saying is that the buildings surrounding the highway are pretty much all the same. Again, TXR bias, but I'd like to see different places showing different vistas. A cityscape, long drawn out bridges, mountains, you call it

    The oncoming races are there for challenge factor, it's not realistic as it's not aiming to be a sim. It's an arcade racer based on a bunch from the early 00's, fits the game perfectly. Same with the edgy atmosphere, it's fitting. Most people in this game aren't friends, nor seem to like each other, add money into the mix, and you have the perfect combination for constant trash talk. I'd rather take exagerated edge than some buddy buddy atmosphere where street racers act like they're going to kindergarten like the newer Need for Speeds.

    Tips 1-Try more on cooling the engine first. Keep cooling above 100% 2-Upgrade brakes and handling, because you need to swerve in traffic. 3-Remove the unnecessary parts from the car. 4-Avoid using NOS. Use that as a last resort. 5-Milk Daisuke and Keisuke. Then go after Haturo and Akira. The boss race needs 10 Million. 6-PA is where the races are held 7-Use Bumper or Hood camera more often when driving fast in races. 8-When driving fast, avoid traffic by keeping a safe distance. Because if you hit them, you stop suddenly. There is no collision box or something, just stopped to 0. It is responsible for my 6 losses out of 40 races.

    In the end, it requires 1) just a lot of mind-numbing grinding 2) asking for donations from other players [still have to grind, but less] 3) just P2W bro... "drugs all the way baby" as they'd say... or "I loot the Credit Shop" [UWC, so easy, blast through the game right?] I got donated around 370 credits from a generous player, have used it to purchase GM from Credit Store and another Ext. Mesh XT (bought myself 100 credits with DF Fiatmoney). With the event XP boost and GM XP boost, I got to grinding. As long as there are generous players willing to have a heart of such gold... For your first account, stick to rigidity. Follow build guide, ask other players for assistance (in forums, Q&A). Make fat stacks of Fiatmoney. Then, finance an alt account with it... grind begats grind... For me? I will stick with just one account for now. I still need hundreds of millions in Fiatmoney to get all the good weapons and implants, and Godcraft using credits (100 for weapons, hard pass on armor with its 200 required)... Either enough Fiatmoney or slam the credit card on the desk...

I did came back around I think 2014 or 2015 but gave up like 4 months of playing due to massive microtransactions. Admin is greedy. He pushed hard for PAY 2 PLAY and PAY TO WIN style after 3D. By the time he came up with DF2 on steam Dead Frontier community has "gone too far into the PAY 2 WIN and PAY TO PLAY" scheme. I came back around..jeez..maybe 2019 again? I poked around steam and played DF2. Same story like DF1..first it shows huge potential and a lot of future promise...but now DF2 is slowly turning into DF1 again.
