I haven’t watched Digimon since about 2000 or 2001 and puppetmon was always my favorite villain. So it’s pretty satisfying seeing this scene.

For anyone wondering the "Pinocchimon's return" title is talking about the Xros Wars Pinocchimon who tricked Taiki, but ended up having a change of heart when he heard the deal he was part of wasn't going to be completed so he allied himself with Taiki to free Dust Zone. And then, one year later he ended up in the Digiquartz, where he lost his memory.

I've been putting off watching this season, having grown up with the first four up to Frontier, but I can feel the soul that drew me to Digimon originally as a child. I loved Appmon and Ghost Game, two other newer series, too. I should definitely pick up Xros Wars too.
What version of Digimon is this? Is this within the original series timeline sometime after season 3? Or is it part of the digimon series remake?

The singular instance of Taiki doing a *forced * Digixros.
Despite much shorter than the Anime, The Manga did every single core member of Xros Heart much more justice by giving them all Digivolution (Atlur Ballistamon, Jaeger Dorulumon, Shooting Starmon, Raptor Sparrowmon) also giving Zenjirou and Akari their own Digivice thus giving them actual role than being Comic Relief and Fanservice
This Pinocchimon from Xros Wars is a lot more affable and sociable than the original Adventure Pinocchimon who would kill his own minions without a second thought.
They are different characters, just same species

I hate Xros Wars because it totally ignores digimons evolution level. Pinocchimon is a mega digimon.
Mega level are still strong asf in Xros Wars, you forgot when the death general Apollomon a Mega level digimon was technically stronger than Shoutmon X7, he only loses because of his self-inflicted injured arm and he lose on purpose

A great arc for Ballistamon which the anime has missed in capitalizing on making him evolve into Atlur Ballistamon. I used to wonder why the name differs between the good and bad version (Ballistamon VS DarkVolumon) only to be reminded that DarkVolumon was his actual name but he was renamed as Ballistamon by Shoutmon.
What makes this scene more interesting is that we actually get to see the difference between adventure puppetmon and xros wars puppetmon

You do realise this isn’t the same Puppetmon? Plus that voice was terrible for a Mega level digimon that was a threat
@@WelshGiraffathe dub he had more of a mechanical sounding voice which fit him more than the sub high pitch voice. His size makes other digimon and fans underestimate how strong he is. He put up much more of a fight than both Metal Seadramon and Machinedramon. Yea he died to one hit from Mega Garugrumon but that was after being exhausted from fighting Mega Etemon , and Mega LeoMon and then fighting everyone at once and was mostly holding his own pretty well.
@@WelshGiraffa You miss the point of his character if you think his child like voice doesn't fit. That's supposed to be the whole point of his character, he's A child with the power of a Mega level.
