Just what I needed and was looking for. Perfectly delivered. Thanks a million!
Excellent, just started with Libra CAD and this has been very useful for me as a newbie. Just 1 question; Can you please explain what does the "@" does when you are typing the coordinate points for the rectangle? Thanks.
Hats off to you 👏👏 One of the best video I have found on LibreCAD foundation....😍😍 Today is my 2nd day of learning LibreCAD and I found your amazing video. Initially I found it bit difficult but after going through each steps again and again, I am able to learn all the useful steps that is required in a professional drawing. Tons of thanks and big KUDOS to you..👌👍
when i put the @0,1.732 in the comman line nothing happens... please help me what am doing wrong
Oh, Wow. This was great!
By far the best librecad tutorials on the net. Too you haven’t made anymore
Excellent! I need to create a map of a local cemetery and show the names and locations of all the headstones. I think this information gives me what I need to know to do that. Thank you!
Thank you. Thank you! Covered so much very efficiently showing several functional operations. Need more of these. excellent presentation.
LibreCAD is a phenomenally awkward program, it takes hours if not days to draw somewhat complex stuff, and there's no design dependency, all the lines are independent after they're drawn. The UI/UX is also extremely awkward. But the video is great.
best videos , I'm hoping to see you post many more!! they are very informative.
👏
Just felt like killing myself, what a horrible program, great job showing it's features!
Yeah, a nightmare. To draw something even simple, one needs to click and type dozens of times. Unintuitive, has buggy UI, awkward UX, but completely FREEEEE:)
Great tutorial! Thank you.
This is the best tutorial I've found so far. Good pacing. Very clear. And everything I copy works well. Thank you!
kdo by to chtěl delat proooooooooooooooooooooooosssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssíííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííííímmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

Is this 3D?
Excellent tutorial! Thank you!
Really a shame can’t always see what you are clicking on even at lower speeds.😢
The speed at which this guy moves is far too fast for a tutorial. I understand he has a lot of ground to cover, but dang! It'll take me some time to understand all the questions I have.
Great video. Very powerful program, and a wonderful user to demonstrate it's power.
I've been looking for answers for these exact questions! Thank you!!
Great instructional video.
Great
Great,
You don't have much experience teaching ... it is obvious.
Thank you for making these videos. The first ones I've seen that don't have awful background music and no explanation, and have a nice voiceover that isn't grating and impossible to hear or understand.
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
surprisingly satisfying to watch! Thanks!
Massa!
I can't get past the Trim Two. I go to Modify, select the tool and the cursor goes to a fuzzy plus. The bottom panel says "Select first trim entity", but when I go to select a line, nothing happens. It won't select anything. I doubled and tripled checked that I'm on the right layer, but still nothing. Anyone else have such issues?
how about a tip like to simulate a dril bit?
thank you for sharing this. it will work good for me. i just changed the units to mm ok
You lost me when you said change it to Inches
I had Librecad 3 days and already exporting simple A4 pdf plans. Will grow my skills. Thank you so much
Excellent video with great dialogue, others could learn from this technique!!.
I found with only a month of lazy LibreCAD experience this was very useful IMO. It was very well explained enough where needed without all the beginner hand holding BS.😀Thank you!

17:05 why the command Trim doesn't work in this case ?
Wow, Don't know if I'll ever draw a helical spiral but the techniques for dealing with lines, splines and hidden lines was great!
Lovely learning session many thanks
Very well explained. I like it very much but the problem I am having is when I put the values in the command line for lines ect. they are not drawn the correct size. I am sure my Drawing preferences are not correct but I do have the units set to Inch & the Length to decimal & Angle to Decimal Degrees. Can you advise as to what your settings were on this Bolt drawing? Thank you. Dave
Did you find an answer to your question? I am just starting and having the same issue, not sure what I'm doing wrong.
@@markrand652 Mark, Actually, No. What I have been doing is either, make the inch to mm conversion, & enter it as mm or, just make the entity long or shorter than needed & then use the trim or extend tool. Using the conversion method makes the drawing more to scale. Dave
@@davaroon Thank you Dave. I’m just making my second attempt and the conversion method has crossed my mind. It’s important to me to be able to draw accurately in inches. I feel sure there’s a simple answer to all of this but I haven’t found it yet.
Mark, Please let me know if you do find a way. I do like Peters tutorials. He is easy to follow as I drew this bolt along with him. ( definitely with several pauses along the way so I could get it right) I do like using Libre CAD Good Luck. Dave
completely new at this program and I'd say this not a video for a complete beginner. Some knowledge required otherwise prepare yourself to watch this video 20 times as the instructor moves quite fast.
well done!!
Nicely done, no irrelevant chatter, education not show business.
I have a question. When I draw with LibreCAD, and when I print the size is different slightly, is there a way that I can adjust for the size difference? I thought I export to pdf and gto printing store and use their printers, but on the pdf lines are almost invisible. Do you know how to fix this?
i remember doing this 25 years ago with pencil on milimeter paper.
Might be good for people who already know CAD or the software, but the presentation is not well done. Demonstrates that the presenter may know what he is doing, but neglects basic info needed to follow this tutorial. For instance, how to add a layer, the reason for the choices being made, use of the command line, etc. Why 30 degrees of such an such, why a 3 deg. arc. As a newbie to CAD and to LibreCAD this was a complete waste of time.
That is why the title says, "LibreCAD Tutorial: Drawing a Bolt" and not Beginner tutorial introduction to LibreCAD I would guess right? As someone with just a lazy month of LibreCAD experience this was very useful. This presentation on drawing something practicle is one of the better ones that are out there on youtube IMO. I am sure you found the many existing beginner videos, but if you are looking for beginner tutorials on user interface or beginning steps there are many to choose from: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=Beginner+LibreCAD+tutorials Good luck!
Have used AutoCAD in the past but learning LibreCAD as AC way too expensive. Very useful tutorial thank you. Although fast, I stopped it many times to re-watch so fine for me.
YOU ARE LITERALLY SAVING MY LIFE. (Long, crazy story there, but I do mean literally.) Thank you!
