Hi! My name is Steve Doherty and I'm the founder of Market Grunt. My company specialises in business strategy development for Suppliers and Retailers in the FMCG and Hardware Industries. We use Power BI for decision support and insight development.

First thing, I'm not a tech geek. I learnt how to use Power BI when it was first launched in 2015. Back then I was a Sales and Marketing Manager and I had the privilege of being able to watch Power Query and DAX Masters build models and reports. As I watched on, I thought to myself, Power BI is going to change the world and what's more, I believed I could do what the consultants were doing. Soon I was developing my own reports. And, I found out that my own reports were more relevant than those built by consultants because I knew the questions that were being asked of the data and the business strategy that shaped those questions.
