Bobby Rush is a legend of blues! He looks good for 90 yrs young 💞 I would love to meet him and see him perform 💝

The part where they wanted to hear Mr Rush's music but didn't want to see his face. That is a form of sickness of the mind of the audiences, never healed or treated. Just allowed to fester into the America in today's world. To think of the many so-called white models who were onnthe cover of Mr Rush's and multiple other artists work is mental illness personified. Never treated or healed.

Awesome how I miss going to hear the Blues at Gabe's in Iowa City where all those guys played and hung out as they drove from Chicago to St Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City and all other spots. it was joy!!!

This was amazing in person that night. My mom Carolan Gladden and I had gone out for the Awards night to hopefully see Curtis win his nomination. My mom had done PR work for some of the musicians in Portland and met Curtis through the years and since he is from the Pacific NW I had known of him and seen him perform. She and I really enjoyed the night. That year Curtis didn't win but has won a number of nominations since!! Getting the chance to see BB King play was great even though we were way in the back of the banquet room so seeing this is fabulous.
