Testing RTX 3090 - For Motion Designers & 3D Artists
Просмотров 39 тыс.3 года назад
In this video I'll unpack and test RTX 3090 MSI Suprim X for 3D renedring for the first time. My instagram: _alexpolo Links: cloud.blender.org/p/gallery/5dd6d7044441651fa3decb56 www.armorhead.store/body-parts/zombie-head-v1
Does this video still hold up today? Also would you recommend this for a mechanical engineering student ? Great video btw!
@@depressed_rat387 There is some progress in hardware these days, but this one still holds up very well. 👍
amazing ❤
Art is going to be my career and I need a powerful rig to make great models 😂 I got curious what I could make for my desktop
Where will i get this products
@@I_am_nothing14 Online or in one of your local electronic/PC stores? I bought most of these parts on amazon.
How much did it all cost?

What’s the total cost?
5000£
you didnt mention the whole price.

Cost estimates?
@@kenconcepts idk I just listed what's in the video
Why did it need 2 GPU?
For faster rendering.
wtfff, who re you trying to help???? a millionaire?
Hey there, I understand your frustration. While it's true that the hardware I'm using in this build is geared towards high performance, the principles of building a computer from scratch apply to a wide range of budgets and needs. Hope that makes sense.
Excelente video, muy buena informacion, aunque estemos en 2024 me recomendarias esta tarjeta para hacer edicion de video de tipo medio y algunas veces en 4k?
Yes, it's still a very good card
@@alexpolozun Ok gracias y saludos.
Put the Link to The Parts
Overkill tbh for 3D rendering and motion graphics 😭
Could you please explain why?
Yeah explain
Been 3 months and you still couldn't explain why
Exactly what I was looking for. I wish there were more test videos for Redshift renders and Arnold etc
How much money it took for the total purchase? ❤
Nice video… can you please put all the parts you got?
Unreal engine supports for this pc ?
Hi is this PC good for 3D animations productions kindly advise
Yes, this PC is good for 3D animation production.
@@alexpolozuncan it run unreal engine?
Could you please put links to the parts you used in the description. You could even make money by using affiliate links.
would it be possible to link all of your hardware? Thanks!!
Where's the list of components?
From 1:18 I go through every component with a name on the bottom of the video.
this looks so cool. Please can you share your specs and config. Thank you
You can find the specs from 1:18 to 1:58 in this video :)
I'd like someone to do a budget PC for 3d rendering maybe an old PC and some budget parts to make it possible there's lots on doing it for gaming but not 3d work
Awesome video!! Could you share you specs?? I would like to base my next build on yours... I'm a 3d artist as well!! Thank you!! 😄 Edit: I know that you told in video but it will be easier to have it on text!! hehe
❤
This is dope and many people's dream
Thank you
very Nice
4:20 super useful 👊🏽
How much?????
from where you bought it?
Amazon and eBay
Waaah, how much this totally in USD? and Could you give me a list of everything you bought?
Great now i need money xD.
Bro one of the Greatest video about GPU on RUclips Thanks for caring about artist work Real equipments stuff
Thank you, appreciate it
nice build! do you use one gpu for the viewport and working, and the other one for rendering?
Thanks! Yes, prety much.
WOW....and to think that I've only a RTX 2060 (which BTW I tought was a bit stronger than 1080 TI and I was wrong it's aboout 10% weaker) is more than incredible difference I am supposed to get using my newly bought RTX 3090 Ti....and I do work with super heavy scenes (with detailed realism stuff ETC) that require such beast to seriously push them in terms of viewport performance and render time..now I'm more hyped for it after watching this test of yours...BTW nice animation scene you have with that candies, looks so cool.
Much appreciated, thanks!
Fantastic video mate. Loved your last one and was hoping to see more so it's great to see another one. I'm planning to get a new PC this year. Do you need that many fans if you're planning to air cool a GPU the size of the 3090? Or was it an aesthetic choice of yours to have that many? I know so little about hardware XD
Thanks for the kind words TheRustedPixel. To be fair originally it was more of an aesthetic decision, but once I started rendering on 3090 I was happy I went with this many fans as it heats up quite drastically. It’s good to blow out hot air out of the system. :) P.S. love your work btw!
hello sir which card im confused between 3080,3080ti and 3090 all of them are used gpus i ll use unreal engine and other 3d applications please help
Why outdated treadripper than 13900k?
Any way you can do a test with Maya same gpu cards but using Maya and Arnold?
Rendering test video?
THATS what a real 3D performance test is! THANK YOU!
Thanks @kolosh1988 Appreciate it.
Have you tried using 2 x 3090? I need to make a new workstation and possibly another PC for rendering, so i can get high performance to create (GPU setup) and output (CPU / high core setup) . I have budget so having a machine outputting solely whilst another for making is a nice thing to have. Back to the 2 x 3090 thing. Have you benchmarked? I'm wondering with 2 x 3090 GPUs if i would need to think about liquid cooling? I'm also after a T1 case (the nice compact space saver) i know a few who use it for 1 x GPU and no liquid cooling (just a kraken glued tot he CPU). Guessing 2 x GHPUs (any kind) you'd need more space to get around the need for intense cooling needs.Any info or setup help for workstations and render machines greatly taken. More info the better as i'm a month off buying so don't want to do anything to insane. I have heard the 4090 with Redshift is very unstable with drivers (though the last article i saw on Maxon was Oct 22) so drivers might have improved. I'm getting the vibe that the 3090 is the more solid card still. thoughts? thank you for your posts and time :)))
I haven't tried 2x 3090. You would need a big motherboard and a case for it and possibly even water cooling. I'm soon to get 4090. I think new update on drivers should fix the Redshift problem for 4090.
Could you send me a list of everything you bought?
I put hardware name on the video. In the section when I put parts together.
@@alexpolozun ohhh ight thanks
please render this with 4090
4090 🤔
Would make sense to save up, but you will dish at least $600 more dependending on what you go for. And would probably go for 1500w instead of 1200w PSU as the 4090 is known to spike. Still a great build !
Great video fella - thanks
How much did this cost in total to build this? Do you have any recommendations on what to get for graphic design and illustration work?
This costed between £6k-£7k (excluding monitors, keyboard and mouse). For graphic design and illustration MacBook Pro would be just fine. You can connect an external monitor to it.
@@alexpolozun Wow that costs a lot. but I'm sure it works great. How about the budget ones? Any recommendations? I'm a little bit broke😆
@@alexpolozunyeah bro you got any cheaper recommendations? Maybe £2-3k? 😭
How about sculpting performance? Why I cant find any tutorial about it??
2nd card a 2080ti?? then you cant nvlink??? and why a 3960 do you need more pci lanes? the 5950x can handel 128gb ram too. im alittle confused. im sure your not gonna render on the cpu? only thing i can guess at is viewport? but is it that much better
Yes, second card is 2080ti. Yep, I'm not using nvlink. I'm not rendering on CPU, but the better CPU the easier it can handle heavy scenes and 3D simulations. I use GPUs for renedring.
@@alexpolozun ok thanks i was just wondering as im gonna build a new pc, im no expert so i tought i would ask if ther was some tips behind the config/setup.
@@silverbulletin846 No worries. Hope the video gave you some useful information.
