दुर्लभ संग्रह। यह छठ गीतों का इतिहास जाहिर करता है। काली दासी (1920-2003) की आवाज में सबसे पहले छठ गीत रिकार्ड किया गया है। वे मुजफ्फरपुर में तवायफ थीं। इनके बारे में कम बात हुई है। उनके बाद विंध्यवासिनी देवी ने भारत रत्न भूपेन हजारिका के कम्पोजिंग में छठ गीत गाया। यही धुन आज तक चल रही है। छठ गीतों को इनके बाद अपार लोकप्रियता मिली शारदा सिन्हा जी और अनुराधा पौण्डवाल की आवाजों में।

Dear Sir, Firstly I would like to congratulate you for making a series on the history through Gramophone records. You took lt of efforts in gathering and sharing the information. Congratulations. I would like to mention here that in praise of Vande Mataram which most of the Indians like ( most of them dont know the meaning). But the criticism on Nehru ji and calling him non democratic can not be acceptable. I personally like Vanndemataram as a poem which is in praise of the motherland. The entire poem is about the praise of the motherland. I have heard several versions of Vande Mataram the most dramatic one was by Pandit Omkarnath Thakur. Me and my wife like to collect and listen to many versions of Vande Mataram Our current anthem is not a just a praise of the Bharat but also we the citizens of Bharat, which is not in Vande Mataram. You may not agree. As Pandit Nehru said Bharatmata is the citizens of this country called Bharat be cause they have built this nation. And this nation has great rivers, mountains and fertile land which was always there before it became a nation. But the nation is built by the people of the nation therefore Bharatmata is we all the citizen of India.
