Nice work. I've been near the Eel for 60 years - the flood of 1964 was incredibly destructive. We used to find redwoods eight feet in diameter jammed between boulders 40 feet above the river in the flood plain.

I live at the north end of the Eel and I gotta say, GREAT JOB COVELO!!!! Thank you for all your hard work!!!😊

The Eel was pristine until 1852. 100 years later (or less) it was completely fucked. 1952 came around and NOTHING had been done except more extraction. 2002 came around and all the locals could do was smoke weed and meth and vote for more right wing bullshit. Double down on the extraction mindset. 100 years to destroy it and how many to fix it? 100? 200? 500? 10000? All this while you choke on processed foods and wokevism? Are you in the game or not? Everyone knows what needs to be done. No one has the balls to do it. Welcome to America.

Glad to hear the eel is recovering.It is hard to believe the disregard,greed, and stupidity displayed in the photo at 1:31,and by 1880 had destroyed a completely intact river. I 1st thought it was some sort of natural catastrophe that befell the river and killed so many fish.
