Buy a vehicle and have it licenced as a private hire vehicle or hackney carriage, never rent one and learn to do some of the work, servicing etc yourself. Plus, learn to get up and go out early. That for me is the key to living a stress free life in this job. 👍

I would have been better staying in bed today 3 years in June i been driving for Uber. Hate January you would make more dressed scruffy sat outside Aldi with an empty coffee cup! You would even get some free food.

Oh mate, you can't do that to us, without giving a hint of what your next journey is 🤣🤣 If I'm honest, like you, I've done 30+ years on & off on the cabs and yes, my god the change is and has been unbelievable. I to am contemplating leaving. I'm off to thailand for the 20th time in a few weeks but this trip is to see if I can actually live there, not only are taxis finished, in my opinion, so is this country. You drove from Northwich, to Warrington and then Liverpool. I personally dont think driving any distance on uber is worth it. I make more profit from just keeping to my local area, doing only jobs less than 12 miles or so. Longer the distance, worse the pound per mile rate goes with uber. Longer you travel away from your house, more dead miles wasted travelling home. Just stay local I say tbh

Been watching your videos for a few weeks now and being a London black cab driver I wouldn't even get out of bed for what you earn some days. Plus may I add uber has got a bad name down London with us cabbies but I understand everyone has to earn money

Quick question, why don't you go out at around 5am? Between 5am and 9am, I pull in over £100. 👍 I have hit Diamond status every time over the last twelve months. Including getting the £250 bonus in September. The maximum I do each week is 40 hours, no more. Just remember there are people working twelve hour shifts in care homes for £13 and hour. 🙏

Uber is punting plenty of £3:50- £5 jobs. I got offered £3:55 for a 7.1 mile Job, no thanks. It’s not sustainable, at least in my jurisdiction there isn’t a never ending stream of new drivers due to the difficulty of the test. Despite an avalanche of drivers leaving to return to the big local traditional firms, Uber are lowballing the drivers left right and centre. I too am concerned about uber offers in January and February, if they are this low now, how much will they take the piss in the new year!? Have a safe & happy Christmas, take care and take money.

World has changed I used to be on the hackneys in liverpool for 15 years just don't think people are going out especially nightclubs packed up after lockdown for that reason

Thank goodness for school runs, Ubers offers are now truly shocking. I was offered £3:55 for an 8.1 mile job. My acceptance range is now below 10%. You might as well go to Benidorm in January.

Done plenty of £300 Saturdays doing 12-14 hours shifts Last month i done a £405 Saturday shift in 14 hours on uber which included a £90 job from anfield to Lancaster its all about being clever on what jobs to pick and using the 10 hour drive time wisely

Holiday is only there to inflate the job price making the prices look better ho ho ho
