@@syc_gamingAlt I don’t think windy was a bad guy for selling Playtesters in consignment. People who received them as Playtesters believe otherwise because he “killed the market”. I disagree. He was showing what’s closer to realistic/market prices on specific cards when many playtesters were gatekeeping cards at specific prices because “they’re worth way more because they say so”. The non holos, yea he didn’t help the market on those, but he’s doing a job. If they were selling for so cheap they should’ve been buying them if it was such a good deal. I’m personally not a fan of the guy anymore, but I’m not gonna fault him for hustling and making money. My dislike for him has nothing to do with him selling playtesters

@@syc_gamingAlt in terms of playtesters for seance, idk that value will change for the hateful 8 and specific others. If the 14 bricks are extra on top of the 35, possibly yes. If they were apart of the 35 printed, then no. Majority of people are not me and will not rip those bricks or sell singles, therefore there won’t be a ton more coming to market diluting it. It makes way more sense if it’s sold sealed for most to people to keep them sealed. I’m a crackhead who wants to psa 10 the set and make my money back in the process, which majority of people buying these will not do. They can rip the brick at any point if they want, but it just makes no sense for them to do so imo. Native playtesters imo were never printed. It was not in the stuff Andy sent back to Golden nor the inventory list MetaTwo purchased from. I think it was just another thing Andy dangled over playtesters heads like a carrot to get them to playtesters War/any other set.

@@syc_gamingAlt honestly I doubt it. Anything that was on preorder from Legacy on besides Disclosure Pages solely turned into additional income without the financial ability to print. Black Friday packs and disclosure pages were only done because of way lower print costs being single/dual card packs and a quick profit. Everyone I’ve spoken to has confirmed they are unaware of any of those products that time on preorder ever being printed. I never specifically asked for the nft one tho, which in theory shouldn’t of been expensive to print

@@superretrogamerbros.8492 I mean what company liquidating assets they don’t want puts out a press release telling people they are? Very specific items that were on the court documents that MetaTwo bought have been selling on this stream, so that’s proof enough to me. Items no one else would have, especially in a certain quantity. I wouldn’t expect nor should they publicly make any statements on all that product they purchased what they are doing with it. If it were me and I wanted nothing to do with majority of it, I’d consign or sell to a liquidation company as well. The only thing that’s pure speculation is whether the inventory was sold (I doubt it, but possible) or that it’s currently being consigned because why would a liquidation company buy product every worker has seemed to know little to nothing about up until this point

I wouldn't really say it's desperate, holding 50k boosters and whatnot of the old product from now 'til the end of time would be 'a lot' of warehouse space and money.

@@BalloonFight lmao there’s a lot more than 75 people who care, and you need to look at all the facts with why they went bankrupt and how. The idea and cards were not the reason. It was the shit ownership, never having a preorder come out on time at one point (or at all), and the constant poor use of all the money they generated. I’d go on a limb and say not one tcg that died has even sniffed the amount of revenue that MetaZoo generated in such a short amount of time. To compare a tcg that was one of the top ones to all the mid and garbage ones is laughable. The closest one I’d say is Digimon which did make a comeback 15-20 years later. It’s not ridiculously popular, but it’s still up and running with a fan base. This is an uphill battle no doubt. But there’s so much untapped potential that the owners missed out on that it’s ignorant to think they can’t make a comeback. You also can’t say there are better card games as well if we don’t even know what gameplay looks like yet 😂 if you think MetaZoo has nothing, then again you aren’t much different than those who said “the IP is worthless” “the inventory isn’t worth the hassle”. It was bought for 2 million (even I didn’t expect it to hit that high), and the leftover inventory is selling extremely quickly and making the company sell it tons of money. If there was no value, no one would be buying old product 🤷🏻‍♂️ None of those card games that died also had infrastructure and team MetaZoo now has. There’s a lot of variables you’re ignoring as to why it can succeed and is completely different. This year I’ve sold more MetaZoo than ever WITHOUT dumping like a lot of others for hundreds of new people. The interest is there to start again. The data is there. It’s not easy, but it’s got a solid chance. Most other people have been wrong the last 11 months while I’ve continued to be right 🤷🏻‍♂️ People can change their narrative all they want from “no one’s ever buying the company” to “it won’t succeed anyways!”. I’ll be laughing again as I did when it was purchased for 2 million to see what new bs people come up with next 😘

@@dpd19 We'll see lol. There were no players left after Dark Tower, and there were likely less than 750 players in NA before that. The game was at best, the worst TCG playwise out there. The new team should hopefully be able to turn it into something that's genuinely fun to play. I wish I had the cope as much as like 14 people who TRULY believe it will come back. It has a 20% chance to reach 50% of what it did, because it DID reach a "success" status for sure. The problem is, everyone knows what happened to it, and that it flopped. If you think that they are going to be able to turn around public sentiment fully, easily, you might be in for a shock. I hope they do, I just truly don't see it happening.

@ lol I don’t think it’s coping but agree to disagree. It may not reach heights it hit before. It may go over. If it’s decently profitable it will continue to be made. One issue a lot of people have is they think most people know what happened. There are millions of tcg fans who never even heard of MetaZoo or only know it in passing. They have no clue what happened or why. And I know 100% it’s starting as an uphill battle. But the goal isn’t to get all the old players. Tbh that should be irrelevant with how small the competitive scene was numbers wise (good for MetaZoo, but not good compared to other major games). The goal is to reach a lot of new fans. They need to attract old fans, but for massive success they’re a small microcosm in that happening. The game being based off well known cryptids also really helps with teaching new people about it. It’s much easier to get the casual person to purchase than say a card game coming out with original characters that there’s no reason for them to have a preexisting emotion towards. They need to help build the IP with original characters, but that’s not what’s gonna initially draw new people in. And gameplay wise for the little I played I thought it was really fun. Very confusing at points and tedious to remember certain things, but a chunk of people thought it was great. I don’t mind the gameplay changing and think it’s needed. Solely wanting to please the existing fan base by keeping it would’ve been counter productive imo.
