My hair texture and length is the same as yours. I part my hair in 4 sections and wrap each section with a nylon sock. I love the volume, and it’s super low maintenance.

Your hair will grow take your Vitamins drink enough water everyday half the weight you weigh and eat right but if you take medication and your hair not growing or coming out you’re medication can be to strong or the side effects of the medication also cut your end every 6-8 weeks and get your treatments and dehydrated you’re hair it will grow fast too some people lack vitamin D or not eating enough proteins, fruits and vegetables so if you not eating that your hair will lack it and you can test it a piece of hair with a cup of water to see if it floats up or sink to the bottom of the cup watch it on RUclips and it will tell you if you lacking something by the way the pattern of the hair and where it lands in the cup

You're absolutely right but your hair should be longer after ten years unless you cut your hair to that length. Braids are great and other protective styles are good too but I just wash, condition, oil and let my curls do their thing. What you can also do is after washing, conditioning and oiling the scalp and lightly the strands and ends when it's wet. Put in cornrows freshly dried hair then put in setting lotion, wear a durag at night and in the morning you can either wear it or take it out and have loose curls regardless of humidity because it'll only hit your scalp and not your strands. I wish I could show y'all pictures because people always thought my hair was a weave. She is right, don't mess with your hair as much but don't neglect it. I'm glad others are finding ways to manage our gorgeous, beautiful natural hair.❤

No lie, been in a growth plateau for 5 years and didn’t see growth til started doing the same thing

To round it up for you guys, if you look at people who have locks in their hair. Do you see how long their hair grows!? They ALL have something in common...THEY LEAVE THEIR HAIR ALONE! I even had locks myself and left it alone! It grew to 26" in 6yrs! I'm not saying locks up your hair, I'm just giving you an example of the extent of growth you can gain by leaving your hair in some kind of protective style.
