Restring ZERO or Toroline O-Toro? Deep Pocketing vs Crisp Responsiveness and both feel great. Both Strung at 48lbs which felt perfect in ZERO for me but I’d probably drop that to 46lbs in O-Toro next time. My hitting/Doubles partner Clint however preferred the O-Toro. How To Deal With The Bad Ball Tosses..LEAVE THEM ALONE!!
Any thoughts on hybriding Otoro mains with zero crosses?
@@joshcollins652 Not sure really unless you’re wanting the colour scheme, quite similar in some regards so I’m not sure of any benefit I guess, have you tried both?
I’m finding zero works well as a cross enhancing spin and power. Haven’t tried Otoro yet but I have ordered. Didn’t like zero in mains as it felt launchy. But as a cross it’s interesting.
@@joshcollins652 Interesting, I just had my second Restring with Restring Zero, a touch tighter this time and I wasn’t too fussed with it, wasn’t launchy compared to my first set, it played quite mediocre. O-Toro probably would’ve livened this setup if I had it in the mains
Played with zero today 53.5 mains and wasabi x 51.5 cross. I liked it. Looking forward to trying otoro.
@ what racquet are you using?
I preferred zero over o-toro. Zero just gives more pop and spin. O-toro is too soft for my vcore 98.
@@CB-mr1ci Hard to say on my end which is actually softer, I strung them the same tension on my machine and Zero felt softer and spongy with deep pocketing whereas O-Toro actually felt poppy and stiffer with a bit of pocketing
Update after restringing Zero again and this time whilst still nice as pocketing, it was definitely feeling tighter than my first restring…I’m questioning whether or not I upped the tension last time on the tie offs, I’m betting that I didn’t and hence it was a bit softer
Toroline and Zero are really good but they notch really quick too. My Tru Pro Pure rush/Ghostwire didnt notch as quick and it performs really good too. Ive tried super toro on my Prostaff v14, and they are good but becomes soft and notches too fast. I liked the tru pro mix more(especially with the price difference). Also, I tried o toro on my PA98, performs really really good but again, notches too fast and loses its playability.
@@ColdBrew_1 This is actually quite hilarious mate, I’ve literally just ordered Pure Rush and Ghost Wire 2mins ago🤣👌👌👌
@ nice!! Hope to see you compare them to other strings!
@@ColdBrew_1 I will mate, I might compare the ‘Boutique Brands’ in the one video👌
You evil man
How do they compare to Poly tour pro? And, which one of the three would you use in match play? Best, John
@@johnnacke Cheers John, I would play Restring Zero and I’d say Clint would take O-Toro, I’ve only played Poly Tour Pro in a VCore 98 for a few hits and from what I recall, it’s more similar feel to O-Toro, that similar snappy quick ball release whereas the Zero really pockets the ball deeper and longer👌
would you recommend this racket for an intermediate level player to develop with?
@@2nddxy552 To be honest mate I probably wouldn’t, don’t get me wrong, you’d probably enjoy the feel, but there’s far better options for ease of use, power and spin especially for a developing game…It’s a racquet I could use no problem but even I choose not to because of that reason. I’d probably suggest a 100sq racquet which will give you more of everything. I use the Speed pro which is 100sq, a bit heavy for some intermediates but actually 5g lighter than this Pro Staff
@@TheTennisDaddy Thanks!!
@@2nddxy552 no problem👌
Great review. Im looking forward to what you think of sync 1.20 next.
@@Sinisterg60 about to start stringing it👌
Loved the laid back style of your video. It’s been two months since you hit the prototype. You still planning to give the retail version a demo when it comes out in a week? I’ll receive a retail racket next week. Can’t wait to finally try it!
@@WJM-Ten yeh I do want to try it again for sure with fresh strings this time but I still want it to feel as soft as it did that day
Enjoyed this comparison format - thanks
Thanks for the feedback, more to come as well as hopefully point play with a big group of guys we’ll be hitting with👌👌
Compare champagne lynx t. To both same tension
@@mteca5093 I’ll need to try the champagne…I’ve used the black at 52lbs for a few months and had no issues however today at 48lbs felt really stiff…this is however with heavy once played with balls and after the last 10hrs hitting with Zero which just felt so much softer
Great reviews, pal! Since you got a bunch of Torolines, try Toro Toro, Enso Pro and Snapper (the latter being the softest IMO) in order not to worry about string stiffness, elbow issues etc. Snapper most likely will also fit your hitting style well, it is low launch, thru the court kinda string, not too poppy with long dwell time and great softish response.
@@alexsad1000 awesome feedback mate cheers, I’ve had another guy say I’ll probably like Snapper, I do have a set of it and I was on the fence about getting it as most reviewers weren’t too fussed with it but it makes sense as they all typically seem to like really crisp strings. I tried Toro Toro in my Extreme and liked that dwell time too
If you have an Apple Watch you can start your drills from it.
@@Vorpoj even better👌👌
Should try it on a super fast court with super quick balls
That would make it more difficult to time for sure…synthetic grass here just after rain and Babolat Gold balls would be quick as hell😅
Must have old school, lively natural gut to be fair - that will take care of the power ...
@@frankcarbo6622 definitely, I might even do that to get a real feel of how it plays👍

Hello thank you for the video Im considering buying Spinfire but i play only on clay court. Is the machine ok with that surface sands … Can do the heavy duty work on clay ? Thank you again
@@yassinechahir3580 I don’t see why not really, we practice a lot on synthetic grass with the sand…I’d just give it a blow out and wipe down every now and then to keep the internal as clear from debris as possible👌
@@yassinechahir3580 And when picking up balls maybe just shake the balls a bit or bounce on the racquet to clear off any excess clay
@@TheTennisDaddy thank you so much
I just got this toro toro strung at 50 lb for my head boom mp. It’s felt so good. I might strung this at 45 for my black pro staff as well since it’s a stiffer frame than boom mp. You have a black pro staff just like mine. We should call it the “black pink”
@@jackinparadise 45lbs with Toro Toro in the black Pro Staff would look unreal and absolutely feel beautiful too👌👌let me know how it feels👍👍
I play with the speed pro and it was a great replacement for my prince textreme tour 100p. I wish I could wear high socks but my fat calves won't let me lol
@@DamianTran Hahaha classic mate🤣…Actually my hitting partner bought a Prince Textreme Tour to play around with, I’ll have to try it…He prefers these Speeds for sure though
what would you say about the power?
@@rob-bu3yw It felt powerful as it feels easy to swing through the air but also the strings being so loose..I will hopefully try it with fresh strings when they come out in January and spend more time with it
Hey man, it’s fun to hear about your racket journey in this video. I was curious… what happened to your Pro Staff 97? The first video i saw from you was you testing it and fell in love with the feel :) Was there something that didn’t click in the end? I’m asking because i switched from the Pro Staff 97 v11 to the Extreme Tour a year ago… i play good tennis with the Extremes, thought i would settle now but i miss the feel of the Wilson and was curious in trying the v14 again. Curious about your thoughts Pro Staff 97 vs Extreme and why you didn’t settle with the pro staff in the end :) Cheers, from the Netherlands!
@@ferkilized Hey mate thanks for the comment, man I probably should’ve play tested it more in matches but it just seemed a little more demanding than the extreme so I just kept it as a hitting racquet for every now and then…a bit like the prestige tour, beautiful to hit with but just that bit harder on certain shots and out of court…whereas the Extreme was just quite easy to use and gave me everything I wanted…I’ve gone back to the Speed Pro predominantly for the comfort I feel with it..some say it’s demanding but I find it quite the opposite with the bigger head size
@ glad you found it in the Speed Pro again! Keep on playing! Exactly the same feeling here with the Pro Staff vs Extremes :) Pro staff too demanding in long matches but so nice to hit with from time to time. Going too order a v14 just for that feeling when hitting out with a friend. Thanks for your reaction and have a good holidays!
@ cheers mate yeah v14 is really nice to have and hit with so why not enjoy it by getting one👌it is Christmas time after all hahaha
Btw - did you try it against a heavy hitter? Curious if it’s stable at 305 g vs a heavy hitter? I just played against a 5.5 and was able to hold my own with the GP so wondering if this lighter weight would be an issue with stability.
@@bigdaddy812 my hitting partner hits with heavy spin and height and it felt stable enough when he was giving it(not as stable as my Speed Pro probably though) I only had it for a day unfortunately, I would’ve liked to try it on my other hitting night where I play sets and points vs 8-9UTRs to see how I played points with it but I’ll purchase one I’m sure in January hahaha…With the ball machine though I do use pressure less balls which are firmer and I had the ball coming on at speed, felt quite stable in that scenario too
@@bigdaddy812 From other reviewers the GP is definitely more stable they’ve stated
@@TheTennisDaddythx for the feedback. I just tried it for about 1.5 hrs using ball machine. Too early to give my overall assessment but my first impressions are encouraging and can easily see a switch from my GP at least against most players. Agree with much of your comments on how it plays. When you hit the sweet spot it feels and sounds amazing. My ball is definitely more powerful and I can turn on my bh much easier than my GP. I can’t wait to play with it against good players.
@@bigdaddy812 absolutely the feel and sound was just so good👌and then even better with preferred balls
@@TheTennisDaddybro, I played 3 sets and it blew my away. Groundies are quicker, deeper and heavier is what my opponents were saying. Was able to blast a few bomb winners and aces - absolutely loved it. As much as I love my GP, I feel like switching to something that’s just easier to use and that no one in the city has (prototype) and the fact that it looks gorgeous - makes it a no brainer. Your review was spot on.
Sorry to hear brother! Heal fast!

Restring zero and wasabi x is the best string setup I’ve used
@@CB-mr1ci we’ve got more ZERO to try in each gauge and another set of Wasabi X so we might have to try this setup too👌👌
I have one and yes it is a nice feel and powerful racquet, the new version
@@joeycauchi3816 I would’ve liked to get my hands on a new version to compare
I tried this out and loved it in my hitting session - allowed me to get easily out in front and hit killer angle crosscourt winners and boomy serves. Tried playing some points with it and it was a bit frustrating hitting frame shots while on the move. Maybe it’s an adjustment going from a gravity pro 100 sq in to this. I want to love it but right now it’s a strong crush.
@@bigdaddy812 Yeh I’ve found the same with this and the Prestige Tour 2023(95sq)…Feels great to hit with but as soon as you’re in point play, you feel it a bit tougher to actually play with
Just got this racket. Strung at 54lbs with the MLT power (multifilament). Demo'd both the head speed mp legend 2024 and speed pro legend 2024. The pro just felt so right, comfortable, clean and very forgiving like you said. the MP version was decent but I noticed a lot more balls were flying uncontrollably lol. Previous racket was the Pure Strike 100 3rd gen and lemme tell you, I just don't enjoy this racket. Feel so stiff and prone to shanks like the racket will instantly punish you for any off center hits.
Great Video!👍

What lbs tension did you have the lynx tour in there at mate? I use the 2022 Head Speed Pro and love it also (also a one hander). Going to get the speed legend pro to go with it and wanting to try the lynx tour. My favourite string in the speed pro I’ve found is Solinco Tour Bite Diamond Rough at 52lbs
@@tristanpearce78 54lbs originally but I preferred it after a weeks hitting so I’ll be going at 52lbs from now on…I haven’t tried diamond rough yet, I have Confidential and I liked that in my 2021 360+ Speed Pro but prefer the heavier dwelling feel I get with Lynx Tour
Pulled trigger and got the speed pro legend. Only change was added a leather grip to match it to my speed pro 2022. Feels great. In comparison to the 2022 with Auxetic 1.0 just feels bit softer. But they are the right racquets for me personally. Will use the legend pro as my main with the 2022 as backup due to loving the black cosmetic. Also stuck with my go to tour bite diamond rough at 52lbs
@@tristanpearce78 nice one mate….I’ve just put in an order for a bunch of Toroline strings just to try them on this racquet…I had half a set of Wasabi X so I’ve put Lynx Tour in the mains and Wasabi X in the cross both at 52…I’m hitting on Monday so I’ll see what that’s like, looks pretty cool with the black/Blue blend lol…I’ll try diamond rough too👍
O Toro 50 x Caviar 48 is magical for spin and comfort and perfect colour blend for your Extreme, lime and lemon!
@@marionikols4374 I might give that a go👌👌cheers
The magic with Toroline comes when you find the hybrid that works for you. The people who rave about it usually play a very specific hybrid setup. Also Toro Toro comes in Matcha green which would match you ‘23 extreme perfectly! The Matcha Green is the 1.27mm which is the stiffest string Toroline makes.

@@toemouse Hahaha awesome, I don’t know how long it was up before he removed it…I thought it was pretty funny🤣Yeh not too many negatives yet about this new Gravity at all yet
Hey! Just saw this video of yours here! Nice! Since it’s been a while, how would you compare the new gravity 98 in this racquet order? 😅 thanks!
@@rafaeldea mate that’s a tough one because I’m a bit conflicted as it felt great in the hands, though the air and on my forehand, but if I’m comparing on my one hander, it was a bit unpredictable since I do hit it a bit flatter, so denser patterns really suit my backhand better especially…if I concentrate and rip and commit to everything then the Gravity 98 is at the top, since this video I’ve actually gone back to the Speed Pro, bought the new Pro Legend, just a mixture of more comfort and predictability with the denser pattern and familiarity with something I used for so long prior
@@TheTennisDaddy thanks! I’m looking forward to this 98, but I keep watching these videos of yours and tenncom and Luka and decided it will be easier to assume I’m a racquet collector from now on hahaha
@ hahahaha it’s terrible isn’t it🤣🤣🤣
Have you tried the RF01 pro, Speed MP, pro staff 97 and Aero 98? If you have, what do you think about them? I’ve been trying to decide between these 5 racquets and I also have a one handed backhand.
@@joaosandesneto I haven’t tried the RF01 Pro but definitely want to try it…I’ve hit recently with the Speed mp and I’ve got an RF97 v14 and the Aero 98…Aero 98 plays good all around and I hit one handers fine too, the throat feels different in the hand but after 5mins it just felt normal really, it just lacks some feel and it’s a bit tinny off centre I felt, Prostaff 97 feels great, I just found it not as versatile as the Speed Pro and a bit more demanding, Speed mp is possibly where I’ll go next when I need something a bit lighter, for now though I still prefer the lower launch of the Speed Pro and the weight feels perfect still…ultimately it’s the launch and feel that I just prefer with the Speed Pro, a common dislike for most is the low launch, but that’s what I like and how I play…it’s predictable whereas the others sometimes surprise you with and unwanted flyer lol….side note as someone also mentioned this in a comment, the Legend to me and to this other guy, feels a little bit softer and nicer than the standard Speeds…not sure why, maybe the paint layup changes something slightly
@ thanks!!
@@TheTennisDaddy one more thing 😅, what about on slices and touch shots? Does the 100 sq.head of the speed pro make it harder comparing to the pure aero 98 for example? Which one do you prefer on that regard? Because I used to play squash so I use a lot of slices and drop shots to go to the net and move around
@@joaosandesneto to be honest, I always found and still find the Speed Pro to be great on slice and with touch, playing predominantly with 98s since January and I’ve found the Speed Pro better than all the 98s I used for touch, maybe because there’s better feel with the 18x20…drop shots, drop volleys I’ve better feel with the Speed Pro..Slice is great but I’d give that to the Extreme Pro, some reason that racquet is just sensational on my slice,Speeds better on all those than the PA98 in my opinion…some have commented saying they find the Speed sluggish through the air, now it may not be as quick as some 98s through the air, I certainly don’t find it sluggish though…It’s heavier, and some simply can’t swing it quick like what’s required of it…similarly to a lot of guys using the RF97 when they simply can’t swing it effectively enough
@@TheTennisDaddy thanks man!
Have the Legend MP. Best racket I've ever owned and I've tried pretty much everything. Fantastic spin, control and incredible levels of comfort. Changed from the Extreme Tour to this and loving having a racket that's an extension of my arm
@@justinpalmer2959 Nice one, I did try the MP as I was also using the Extreme Tour and Extreme Pro beforehand, I liked it too but just really gravitated back to the Pros 18x20 that I’m so familiar with, the comfort on these racquets is sensational
@TheTennisDaddy I strangely found it even softer than the regular Speed MP. Plus is looks stealthy in black. Thanks for the great review
@ yeh actually I felt the same thing considering I’m using Lynx Tour in my Legend which is a bit firmer than the standard Lynx that was in the demo regular Speed…definitely looks way better too👌👌
How would you compare it to the PA98?
@@twistymeeko7377 just so much more feel with this…I really like the PA98 but it feels like a tin can in comparison especially off centre hits, PA98 though is possibly less demanding as I don’t feel I needed to be so perfect technically as I do feel that a bit with this Gravity on the one hander mainly(slice included)
@ compared to whiteout? Thanks for responding
@ that's one I haven't tried yet still but really want to...@TennCom has used the whiteout a fair bit so l'd be interested in his thoughts here too…just responded the same on Becketts review…Whiteout comes in 16x19 and 18x20 I think? If so, the 18x20 whiteout would be lower launching and quite the nice feel I guess whereas the 16x19 would be closer to the Gravity launch and spin…Whiteout apparently has some nice flex I think I’ve gathered from reviews?
If you like the HEAD Speed Pro the racquet you should demo is the YONEX Percept 100d. Very similar frames but the Percept has more power and precision IMO
@@OldManMidnight Percepts have been on my ‘To demo’ list for a while actually, unfortunately the colour had put me off aesthetically which is a part of enjoying what you’re playing with really and why I haven’t bothered with it yet…I will try it though and the 97 just to feel the difference…The Vcore 98 is one Yonex that I have and liked apart from sometimes it feels like it’s a bit long weirdly, didn’t really gel with that one overall unfortunately, quite liked the red😅
@@TheTennisDaddy I was the same with the current model Vcore 98. The isometric head shifted the sweet spot to far up the string bed and I just couldn’t get use to it. I was trying the Vcore to get away from the tennis elbow the Ezone 98 was giving me
@ ahh ok you felt that too with the shape, the percepts don’t give that feeling too?
@ the Percept is a far more traditional shape. String bed almost gives Gravity Pro levels of precision but with far more access to spin. It’s by no means a spin machine - it probably is somewhere above a Blade 98 but it also place balls on a dime and block shots much like a Blade
@ definitely sounds like it’s in my range of what I like…I might look into demos and do a video in the coming weeks…If I really like, I’m not going to be happy though🤣🤣🤣
Interesting, I just started back a year ago and started with the Speed Pro and am at about the same amount of purchases as you. Hahaha mate don’t do it😂😂😂…Nah do it lol but to be honest, this strung fresh with my string feels 1000 times better than the demo Speed Pro I had…If the Boom suits you it suits you, you came from loving the Vcore so the Boom shape probably resonates with you more I’d say
@TheTennisDaddy nah I'm staying with boom. Played a pro set today and was up 3-1 before having to quit early for work.... im sticking with it.
@ awesome👌👌👌I still want to try it hahaha, only tried the mp
@TheTennisDaddy Pro is a whole different animal my friend.
@ yep it definitely sounds intriguing
Since we have similar racket preferences, I am always curious about your opinion. How does the Speed Pro compare to the Gravity Tour 98 in terms of power, spin and sound?
Cool mate👌Sound wise it still sounds nice and solid on the ball because of the dense pattern but it’s not as loud as the Gravity 98 and doesn’t have the whistle through the air because the bumper design in the Gravity is what makes it whistle like in the Prestige…Power I’d give to this because I’d say if the Gravity was at 52lbs it wouldn’t give the power I felt when I used it…Spin is a funny one, Gravity was more wippy with an open pattern, I felt I could rip forehands out of position with some more spin easier but on the one hander I feel it easier to get spin on the Speed Pro, probably get a little more spin on the Gravity but I actually feel it’s easier on the Speeds weirdly on the oneie..I do just want to try the Gravity again when it comes out but it won’t take the Speeds place, this is just too comfortable and predictable to waver again
How does the power level compare to current Vcore 98 and Radical MP? Thx
@@warrenchen2153 I’d say similar, the strings in this were around 40lbs so it felt quite powerful but if it was strung at 50lbs which is around what I’ve tried the other 2, it’d probably be quite similar, maybe the Vcore would be a bit more powerful

@@rafaeldea tough to tell 100% because the Gravitys strings were so loose but with my game I definitely felt that I’ll get more erratic shots with the Gravitys open string pattern, more power in the Speed Pro with same string tension I’d say for sure and I will get the demo of the Gravity when it comes out to retest it but I’m confident that I won’t change to it as I just won’t get the same comfort and predictable launch that I love with my Speeds..Also I feel more control with my Speeds because I’m always confident and 100% sure of what I’m going to get out of the shot, it always does what I expect it too, there’s no unpredictability concerns with them
This is so true about “going back home”. Glad to hear you [re]found your racket in Speed Legend! For me it was Yonex RDiS Tour 100 from 2009-2010, I played with them the most and also played my best tennis imo. Challenging heavy rackets with small (93 sq in/16x20) very squarish hoops but with unprecedented control, spin and consistency. I tried like 20 rackets since 2010 and still trying to switch to Vcore 95 but I’ll most likely be going back to RDiS Tour-s 😂
Nice hahaha, yeh if I wasn’t 100% on the new Speeds I was going to pull out my 2013 SpeedPro as that was my favourite racquet and last one I used prior to stopping playing
